Chapter 167: The Search
Lian Yun understood Chen Er Gou's loyalty and his strong desire to improve his combat abilities.

The Wolf Clan had a leader, and as long as it issued an order, not a single one of them could be lured out. Lian Yun had considered capturing the Wolf King, but that cunning creature would vanish the moment Lian Yun entered the forest, only to reappear as soon as he left. The dense trees made it impossible for Lian Yun to pursue using the Sword Control Technique, and in his frustration, he had no choice but to give up.
As for the Tiger Clan's forest, their numbers were fewer and widely scattered, making it impossible to draw them out.
Finally, there was the Giant Python Forest. The pythons were not numerous but were relatively densely distributed. However, their speed in the forest was surprisingly fast, making it difficult for Lian Yun to kill them. Additionally, their tough skin and scales meant that engaging them in battle would require a significant amount of spiritual energy.

By this point, Lian Yun had been out for over an hour, far exceeding the time allotted for submitting his task.
