Chapter 179: There’s More to Come

Just like Zhang Caifu, Tailor Liu barely glanced at Lian Yun until midday when she suddenly came alive with urgency. "What should we do? What should we do? The materials in the warehouse are insufficient. If the villagers don't have enough warm clothing, they might not survive this winter."
"Youth," she continued, "the village chief and Old Zhang both recognize your strength and integrity. Could you do me a favor?"
"Of course! What do you need?"
"It's like this: I need to sew some winter clothing for the villagers, but I'm currently out of materials. Could you bring back one hundred tiger skins, one hundred wolf skins, one hundred snake skins, and one hundred bear skins within a day?"
"As long as you can help me with this, allowing the villagers to survive this winter, I have a treasure to give you."
"As you wish, I will complete the task as soon as possible." In that moment, Lian Yun's response was not formulaic; it stemmed from genuine respect.

The hundred wolf pelts were mission items, while the three Wolf King Pelts were materials that could be crafted into Cold-Weather Clothing, and they were rare materials.
Though somewhat puzzled, Lian Yun decided to keep them for now, as they might prove useful later.
Using Five Ghosts Transport, he sent the hundred and three wolf pelts to his personal warehouse before heading to Tiger Pack Forest.
The number of tigers in Tiger Pack was relatively low, but their drop rate was significantly higher, boasting a twenty percent chance. After slaying five hundred tigers, he obtained a hundred tiger pelts.
Next was Giant Python Forest, which posed more of a challenge. Although the drop rate for giant pythons was even higher at fifty percent, their massive size and wide dispersion made them difficult to hunt. After killing one, it took at least half a minute to reach another giant python.
Thus, it took Lian Yun nearly three hours to collect the hundred snake skins.
