Chapter 189: Perfect Clearance
Because Lian Yun received information from Ma Wenlong, there were two ways to leave the novice village. One was to directly find the Old Village Chief and 'teleport' to the target Famous City. The other was to take on a challenge; by completing the challenge in Famous City, one could earn some special rewards, such as certain privileges and a Private Residence.

Once Big Head and the other Ghost Slaves had eliminated all the wolves, no new Chaos Beasts appeared from the surrounding darkness.
At first, Lian Yun thought they might have succeeded in their challenge.
However, without any notification, he realized it wasn't over yet. He felt somewhat speechless as he realized that this battle lasting about half an hour was merely the first wave of attacks.
To be honest, if it had only been Lian Yun facing this first wave alone, the Five Dragon Pillar would have likely sustained at least five percent damage.
Even if the strength of subsequent Chaos Beasts remained unchanged, after five waves like this, completing the challenge would be impossible. Moreover, the Grizzly Bears that emerged in the second wave were slightly stronger in speed and power than those in the first wave.

As the third wave and fourth wave passed, by the time the fifth wave arrived, just the initial Grizzly Bears forced the Twelve Fierce Warriors to engage. When the Tiger Pack emerged, Lian Yun, Yang Zai Xing, and Black Capital had to lend a hand. The subsequent wolf pack moved with a speed that rivaled that of the original Wolf King.
Thus, Lian Yun and the twenty-five Ghost Slaves launched a full-scale attack, eliminating most of the wolves before the Wolf King and the giant python made their appearance. They quickly regrouped afterward.
The Twelve Fierce Warriors took the lead, with Lian Yun, Yang Zai Xing, and Black positioned in the middle, while Big Head and the other nine were closest to the stone pillar.
When the final wave of giant pythons and Wolf Kings appeared, over ten Wolf Kings almost instantly reached the front of the Twelve Fierce Warriors. If the giant python charged in, it was likely that even the Twelve Fierce Warriors would struggle to hold their ground.
In response, Lian Yun, Yang Zai Xing, and Black swiftly attacked, taking down several Wolf Kings in front before rushing out to block the giant python.
After mitigating this wave of attacks, Three Spirits and others joined the fray, leaving only Sword Mountain, Zhao Jinlong, and Zhao Jinhui to guard the Five Dragon Pillar.
Their task was simple: to push back any approaching Wolf Kings.
Once Lian Yun and the others had defeated the giant python and returned to assist, they successfully eliminated all remaining Wolf Kings. With that, the fifth wave concluded, and Lian Yun received a notification.
"Perfect clearance achieved. Reward: Upgrade. Reward: Third-Class Imperial Citizen status. Reward: A Siheyuan in a prosperous area."
