Qiu Ze suddenly produced a short sword in his hand, gripping it tightly with his right hand. His arm quickly turned a deep purple, and he moved with incredible speed, darting past Ye Yi and Ye Er in an instant to reach Ye Kai's side, plunging the short sword fiercely into his waist.
"Clang!"
Although the strike left Ye Kai dizzy and sent him stumbling back three meters, he quickly regained his composure and sneered, "If you want to kill me, then you should be prepared to die!"
A sci-fi-looking weapon appeared in his hand—a Cryo Gun, its barrel thick and heavy, nearly a centimeter wide and almost 40 centimeters long, gleaming with a blue-black sheen.
Ye Kai had no other thoughts; he aimed directly at the bastard who dared to attack him and pulled the trigger.
"Vroom!"
Hearing what sounded like a machine powering up, Qiu Ze's heart sank as he realized the danger. Just then, the other guy behind him lunged forward. He had no choice but to crouch down and push off the ground, instantly diving toward the nearby Abandoned Parking Garage.
"Trying to escape?"
Seeing that the bastard who had stabbed him was attempting to flee, Ye Kai's anger surged. As he saw the energy build-up complete, he pulled the trigger at the guy stepping into the parking structure.
"Whoosh!!!"
A burst of blue-white flames erupted from the gun, crossing several meters in an instant and striking Qiu Ze hard on his right shoulder.
"Ahh... let me go!"
A glint of ferocity flashed in Qiu Ze's eyes as he reversed his grip on the sword and plunged it into his shoulder. With a fierce twist, he retaliated.
"Bang!"
Ye Kai's eyes trembled as he was shocked by the ruthlessness of the person before him. It was one thing to be cruel to others, but he had never seen anyone inflict such harm upon themselves.
This person had actually severed their own right arm to block the terrifying cold of the Cryo Gun, which approached absolute zero.
However, it was unfortunate that even though this shot did not achieve its intended purpose, he could no longer escape.

Ye Yi had already taken advantage of that brief moment of delay to rush in front of him, delivering a powerful kick. With a dull thud, Qiu Ze was sent flying backward once more, landing awkwardly three meters away from Ye Kai.

But at that moment, he was utterly powerless to resist; he couldn't even get up. Blood flowed from his seven orifices, his ribs were shattered, and his internal organs were nearly reduced to a pulp.
"Clean up and gather the bodies; don't let anything go to waste," Ye Kai said coldly.
Although he had already dealt with three waves of pursuing enemies, he still did not want anyone to find any traces left behind here. It wasn't his desire to do so; it was a necessity.
Who knew what kind of dark technology the forces behind these people might possess? They could discover some of his hidden cards.
In less than a minute, aside from the completely obliterated body, nearly thirty corpses were gathered together by Ye Yi and Ye Er.
Ye Kai suppressed the urge to vomit as he touched the pile of bodies. In almost the blink of an eye, he transferred them all, including the still-breathing Qiu Ze, into the System Space.
As for the roughly five-meter-wide area of shattered ice, he poured a bucket of highly flammable liquid over it and then set it ablaze.
Ye Kai really wanted to throw a few more bombs here, but after some thought, he realized that they were less than 100 meters away from the food street. The gunfire from earlier was already enough to attract attention, and if there were explosions now, it would undoubtedly draw countless eyes.
Seeing that time had already been delayed significantly, the three of them quickly made their way toward the outskirts.
With the shielding function of the System, they were temporarily safe from any electronic tracking. However, for those seasoned individuals, it would only take a little time to find a solution.

The old-fashioned cart rolled along the dusty road at a slow pace. The clattering of the wheels and the sound of hooves echoed particularly clearly in the unusual silence of the road. The feeling of only this cart moving forward allowed Ye Kai to relax slightly.
Finding a comfortable position, he lay down on top of the stalks with a calm expression.
"I was too reckless this time," he thought. "Clearly, my opponents had premeditated plans, and multiple forces are coordinating against me. They even managed to deploy so many Genetically Modified Humans and those half-human creatures to attack me in such a short time. If they find even a trace of me again, I might be in serious trouble!"
"But who could gather so many forces to launch such an attack...?" Ye Kai suddenly recalled the Dayong Group he had discovered.
This was an absolute behemoth; not even a part of the leadership in Huaxia would dare to act lightly against it.
This was a colossal matter that could set off a chain reaction. Clearly, if it was the Dayong Group that took the lead, then everything could be resolved.
Next, the Black Demon, whose head had been smashed by Ye Er, seemed to have been involved in some sort of capture of experimental subjects.

"Could it be that the guy from the International Auto Show Center who gave me the Low-Level Energy Crystal is the experimental subject they mentioned?"
"They stole items from the Dayong Group's laboratory and then were hunted down. If that's the case, everything makes sense!"
The Dayong Group was the employer; they had hired assassins, including the already deceased Bald Giant and Vixen, also known as Viper Su Qiong, who had killed Liuli Li and a man.
It was evident that these two were also involved with the Dayong Group's laboratory. They had stolen the Azure Crystal, which was a fundamental component of the System—the Dimension Search and Localization Component.
Then, when their scheme was exposed, they were eliminated.
Following that, he caught the attention of the Dayong Group. They believed he had obtained something from Liuli Li. While that wasn't entirely wrong, he absolutely would not hand over the Azure Crystal.
Furthermore, that guy at the International Auto Show Center had also stolen the Low-Level Energy Crystal from the Dayong Group's laboratory, along with coordinates for a Dimension named "Unknown," and thus faced similar pursuit.
With all this in mind, things started to make sense. Ye Kai began to piece together what was happening.
However, this only made him more vigilant.
Because now, almost everything seemed to be connected to him, and this hidden force undoubtedly believed they had everything under control.
They could not, and would not, easily allow themselves to leave.
