"Bang! Bang!"
Watching the performance of Andrew and his companions on the Light Screen, Ye Kai's lips curled into a slight smile. However, in the next moment, he turned the muzzle of his Gauss Needle Gun and fired twice at the figures behind him.
"Ye Yi and Ye Er, bind Andrew and his three companions, as well as Tartus, Aining, and all the elders of the Demon Hunter Guild."
Despite Ye Kai's calm demeanor, even daring to ignore a vampire over seven hundred years old, he was actually feeling quite anxious inside.
However, as time passed, he found that he could faintly sense Mel's movements, which gave him a bit of confidence.
Before his words had fully settled, Ye Kai's body trembled. His eyes widened with tension before suddenly becoming eerily calm.
"Smack!"
As Mel stepped forward, countless steel bars and sheets beneath her feet exploded outward with a loud bang. She soared into the air like a bird taking flight, her hands reaching out toward Ye Kai.
Her speed was astonishing; they had been at least thirty meters apart, but in the blink of an eye, Mel had crossed that distance and was leaping high above him, aiming to grab his neck.
If she managed to catch him with that grip, he would surely experience what it meant to be 'suffocated to death'!
The swiftness and naturalness of her leap made it clear that she possessed an instinctual skill for snapping necks and tearing throats.
Without his Ability, Ye Kai would have struggled to react to such rapid Speed. But now, with Mind Control at his disposal, evading her was not impossible.
Yet at this moment, he did not dodge. Instead, he focused intently on her approaching hands. His mental energy concentrated intensely as a solid Telekinetic Ripple surged forward to collide with hers. Meanwhile, the Gauss Needle Gun in his hand unleashed an almost imperceptible stream of energy.
"Boom!"
The Telekinetic Ripple collided with the flesh-and-blood palm. Due to the incredible speed, even the air couldn't disperse in time, resulting in a violent explosion that echoed through the air.
At the same moment, Ye Kai felt as if his head had been struck by a brick, letting out a low groan as he nearly lost consciousness.
“Puff!”
Mel also did not escape the bullet. With a soft sound, her black leather jacket was instantly torn into shreds, fluttering around her, and a long gash had already opened up on her left side.
Seeing the enemy before him vanish again, Ye Kai snapped back to reality, his pupils constricting as his Ability activated like never before.
“Bang!”
Though she bore a human appearance, Mel wielded a terrifying strength that surpassed human stamina limits. If it weren't for Ye Kai possessing extraordinary abilities himself, even a strike from Mel would have left deep imprints on a black bear.
After another exchange of blows, Mel used the momentum to separate herself, letting out a low growl as she crouched down. Her legs propelled her into a series of powerful jumps, causing the ground beneath her to crumble like tofu. In an instant, she sent debris flying from the ruins.
In fact, when she finally leaped up, she had cleared two large craters about thirty centimeters in diameter at her landing spot while rapidly circling around Ye Kai.
She stirred up swirling currents of air that fiercely clawed at his back.
However, Ye Kai was already prepared. As Mel lunged at him, he extended his right hand holding the Gauss Needle Gun forward like a spiked spear. With a sharp sound, he shattered her claw attack.
“Bang bang…”
In just two minutes, the two were locked in fierce combat. The intensity of their battle sent countless pieces of debris flying, with shards of steel and iron sheets scattered everywhere along with several sharp surgical blades soaring through the air.
Suddenly.
"Crash!"
Countless construction materials were sent flying by Mel, hurtling towards Ye Kai, who was gripping a steel beam as thick as a thigh, ready to bring it down from above.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Ye Kai's eyes were incredibly bright as he fired his Gauss Needle Gun, unleashing streams of transparent air that shattered nearly all the steel and iron raining down on him.
Then, his pupils dilated once more, and the air around him suddenly condensed.
Between the two, less than thirty meters apart, the air erupted with a series of explosive sounds. The atmosphere above the abandoned factory trembled violently, even causing the clothes of Emira and her companions, bound several dozen meters away, to billow in the wind.
The intense shockwave swept through, accompanied by a whirring sound, sending countless shards of metal flying in all directions.
The speed of their confrontation was simply too fast for an ordinary person to discern. Although Ye Kai's speed wasn't particularly high, his powerful ability allowed him to constantly scan his surroundings. With divine assistance at his side, he was assured there would be no mistakes.
Moreover, with the Gauss Needle Gun in hand, even if he couldn't gain an overwhelming advantage, he had managed to secure a position of safety for the time being.
The battle between them unfolded so rapidly that it was nearly impossible for the naked eye to follow; only in the brief moments of pause could one catch glimpses of their afterimages.
Andrew, Matt, and Steve stood by in stunned silence, their mouths unconsciously muttering something incomprehensible.
Wherever Ye Kai and Mel passed, everything in the ruins resembled a scene after a grenade explosion—debris and dirt flying everywhere as steel and iron splintered and scattered.
"Bang, bang..."
As the battle reached its climax, the arena between the two fighters expanded beyond the confines of the abandoned factory. Even those standing aside were not spared. In an instant, as Andrew and his companions watched helplessly, an invisible force intercepted all the flying debris.
After nearly ten minutes, Ye Kai finally began to feel the strain. Having reached this level of power, he could proudly declare that he had gained the ability to protect himself.
"Bang!"
Once again, a powerful wave of Psychokinesis erupted, sending shockwaves that shattered everything within a ten-meter radius. Ye Kai's body jolted upward, soaring into the sky. He quickly reloaded his Gauss Needle Gun and fired off seven or eight shots in rapid succession.
"Bang, bang, bang, bang!"
Mel's face turned pale as she narrowly avoided a blast. Countless screws and steel bars exploded around her, and in that moment, she vanished from her spot, constantly changing direction without a moment's pause.
Though she could sense her opponent's gun aimed at her in advance, she dared not let her guard down for even a second. If she were hit by such a terrifying weapon, she would undoubtedly lose her ability to resist in an instant.
Even with her formidable recovery abilities and the power to absorb blood to heal injuries, she did not believe her opponent would let her off easily after sustaining damage.
"Bang!"
With a fierce stomp, Mel sent numerous steel fragments flying. Using the immense force of her spin, she hurled a massive piece of steel upward with wild abandon.
Ye Kai's pupils constricted as his Ability surged violently outward. He once again angled his body to evade this attack.
"Whoosh!"
The intense wind pressure, along with the massive steel just a meter away from him, made his heart skip a beat.
However, he understood that he absolutely could not stop at this moment. He continued to fly backward toward Mel, his body propelled forward as if shot from a spring, and the Gauss Needle Gun in his hand showed no signs of slowing down.
Invisible streams of air, undetectable to the naked eye, sliced through layers of atmosphere, aiming directly at Mel's head and body.
"Thud!"
Mel barely managed to dodge in time, but after moving just a meter, a transparent stream grazed her right shoulder. There was a sharp crack as her bone shattered, blood splattering into the air.
This was Mel, the Vampire Countess; had it been anyone else, even if they had unleashed all their potential, their entire arm would have likely been severed from the shoulder in an instant.
In fact, they would have been completely shattered, exploding into a rain of blood.
Although Mel, as a vampire, was not immune to pain, having lived for over seven hundred years allowed her to dismiss most of it.
This minor injury would heal in less than a minute for her.
What she needed now was to attack relentlessly and drain every drop of blood from her opponent before her.
