"Don't touch that..."
"Bang!!!"
Damn it!
What the hell is this?
Ye Kai coughed as he waved away the choking smoke, finally shouting with an extremely displeased expression, "What kind of stuff do you have here? It explodes with just a light touch!!!"
"Enough already!"
Howard glared at the rogue in front of him, his face dark as thunder. Ever since he agreed to help design an aircraft carrier called 'Hope,' this guy had never once stayed quiet.
On the verge of losing his temper, he stepped forward, swinging his fist and shouting, "You bastard, this is the seventh time! Do you even know what that means? Huh? Are you trying to destroy my laboratory before you're satisfied?"
Ye Kai felt a bit embarrassed but still held his head high, defiantly glaring back. "That's because your stuff is too fragile. No one can compare to Dr. Zola. If your skills aren't up to par, you should admit it and learn more—watch more—ask more. Look at you now, hoarding your own things and stagnating..."
"Shut up!!!"
Howard grabbed a large pair of iron pliers and swung them a few times before suddenly remembering something. He tossed them aside and sighed helplessly, muttering, "If it weren't for the fact that I can't beat you, I would have knocked you out long ago."
"Heh heh!"
With a hint of embarrassment mixed with pride, Ye Kai plopped down on a nearby table. "Good to know. Anyway, you can always..."
Suddenly, he spotted something that looked like a fan. But was it really meant to be a fan?
With a curious and inquisitive gaze, he boldly picked it up again.
"Heart!!!"
"Bang!"
What the hell!
Ye Kai was completely thrown off, desperately holding back the veins on his forehead. He roughly pushed aside the chaotic mess scattered around him and stood up, gritting his teeth as he shouted, "Howard, you bastard, is there anything here that won't explode? Huh? Huh?"
"Damn it! That was the wind turbine on the Anti-Gravity Device!!!"
Howard was utterly furious, throwing a specially designed protective suit to the ground. "This is the eighth time, the eighth time, you bastard! Get out, get out, right now, immediately..."
Anyone who knew the name Ye Kai or Jon had a love-hate relationship with him, often gritting their teeth in frustration and wishing they could tear him apart.
At the same time, this guy was the hottest superstar in the entire military district, even overshadowing Captain America.
Not only did he possess formidable combat skills, but he also had an 'unparalleled' talent for warfare; he was practically a born soldier.
Unfortunately, he acted like a good-for-nothing rogue, running around aimlessly. He would either cause chaos in one lab or go to another Operations Command Center to berate the staff.
Of course, he was also the Commandant of the Howling Assault Team.
Every operational plan he devised could disrupt Schmidt and the little Führer's deployments, even forcing them into a hasty retreat.
Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Billy's time in Luxembourg... in nearly every country or region, he managed to help the Allies achieve maximum results at minimal cost.
He was already on his way to earning the title of 'King of War,' a super general.
Even the President of the United States and the Supreme Commander, Five-Star General Dwight D. Eisenhower, personally delivered the commendation, yet this guy couldn't care less about receiving it. His nonchalant demeanor was enough to make one grit their teeth in frustration.
However, there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Most capable individuals were trained by his subordinates, while those lacking ability almost worshipped him.
Thus, the high-ranking officials at the Allied Operations Command Center wished he would visit more often, yet they also longed to slap him and stomp on him a few times.
In short, there was only one way to describe their feelings towards him—love-hate.
Ye Kai was not oblivious to the resentment of these people; he could feel the immense respect in every soldier's gaze. However, he didn't really care much about it.
While it was sometimes quite enjoyable, over time it became just another routine.
What he looked forward to most was the superweapon project being developed by Howard, Albert Einstein, and their group of scientific geniuses.
Of course, the top priority among them was Ye Kai's long-cherished hope—the development of the "Hope" Aircraft Carrier, which had already been labeled as the least popular weapon in the laboratory due to its challenges.
...
A month later.
"How's it going?"
Ye Kai reclined in his chair, squinting as he asked, "Is this weapon capable of mass production?"
"No!"
Howard had always been meticulous about personal hygiene, but now he was not only covered in grease, he had also removed his shirt and was working hard alongside a few others who looked just as disheveled.
"Ye!"
At that moment, Albert Einstein, who at 64 still served as a United States Navy Scientific Advisor, suddenly shouted, "You better give us more samples; this one is simply not enough."
"Hey, guys, what do you think this is?"
"Could it be a new element?"
"It looks like Radioactive Element Polymer!"
"We can't detect anything; it shouldn't be a radioactive element. This stuff seems structurally stable."
"Wait, it's emitting unstable sequential wavebands..."
Damn it!
Ye Kai felt his scalp tingle as he watched these research enthusiasts ranging from their sixties down to their twenties. This was unstable Cosmic Cube Energy Polymer, and they actually dared to bring it out.
Moreover, they were all continuously testing it with various devices!
This was nothing short of reckless!
"Olyxet!!!"
Dual Eyes suddenly expanded to its limit, and a powerful wave of Psychokinesis directly lifted the object, hurling it into the sky.
“Boom!!!”
A blue Halo abruptly appeared above the laboratory and the Operations Command Center, dazzling colors startling everyone present, as the power of that object was undeniable.
Just as everyone stood there, dumbfounded, a strong gust of wind descended. Although it didn't cause any significant damage, at least the group of Soldiers and the Clerical Staff holding documents began to curse loudly.
They were either struggling to maintain their balance or watching their papers scatter all over the place.
Anyone who has served in the military or understands the life of soldiers knows that regardless of gender, they all have quite a temper.
Especially since this was during World War II, a time when everyone was already overwhelmed with work. Now, it seemed that those crazy scientists had conjured up yet another bizarre creation.
Of course, their deepest grievances were directed at that Commandant Sir Jon, who always seemed to stir up trouble with just a few words.
They didn't need to guess; it was clear that such a powerful phenomenon could only have been caused by that guy.
In an instant, everyone looked at the already dilapidated Big Warehouse with frustration, gritting their teeth...
