Half an hour passed, and deep beneath the coastline of Chicago, three hundred miles under the sea, a massive battleship floated silently. The dark depths provided the best camouflage for the battleship.
Here, Ye Kai believed that as long as he did not come into close contact with those so-called nuclear submarines, no one would discover him.
He was genuinely frightened by the military weapons and some real weapons of mass destruction.
Above Chicago, there were Remote Laser Guided Weapons, and given the level of technological development in this world, Ye Kai found it hard to believe that the most advanced research laboratories did not have some countermeasures against such situations.
Ye Kai took a light sip of his cocktail, his gaze vacant and somewhat lost in thought as he contemplated his next course of action.

Fortunately, Ye Kai did not intend to clash head-on with all the countries in this dimension; he merely needed to endure for seven days. After that, he could easily rob a factory and capture some researchers to complete his mission.
While WIKI's current approach was causing the upper echelons of the entire country to be overwhelmed, this situation should not last too long.
By then, it would be time for those people to counterattack.
To reap a bountiful harvest inevitably comes with great danger—a truth that holds true at any time!
After all, WIKI was just a Quantum Intelligence Core. Even though it could exhibit some emotions, its thoughts were inevitably rigid and simplistic due to its programming.
It could utilize modern assembly line factories to manufacture weapons; however, once the military of the entire country was fully integrated, negotiations would become unavoidable.
Ye Kai even suspected whether there was some powerful device similar to an Electromagnetic Bomb in this world. If such a thing were to detonate, it would likely destroy all electrical devices, leaving none of these robots able to stand again.
Thus, he had no choice but to hide for now.
Even if the 'war' breaks out in the end, he could use WIKI to fully blossom, leaving all the upper echelons and the military struggling to cope.
He didn't have many demands right now; the only thing he hoped for was to safely get through seven, or rather, six hours.
No need to talk about cowardice or fear. After experiencing that heart-stopping event last time, facing another life-and-death situation made any excessive worry seem trivial!
"Report!"
Ye Kai raised an eyebrow and spoke softly, "Come in."
"Commander, we have detected signals of large-scale troop mobilization. Also, we have lost 5% of our control over military Artificial Satellites, um, and..."
Looking at the person who had been following him closely, Ye Kai let out a slight grunt of dissatisfaction before asking, "What else?"
Ye Yi cautiously glanced at his 'moody' commander, straightened his back slightly, and then spoke loudly, "We just received news that just over ten minutes ago, powerful individual combat units appeared in all cities with populations over one million. Not only have we suffered severe losses in robots, but those cities have also fallen!"
Upon hearing this news, Ye Kai could no longer sit still. He jumped up, his expression serious as he asked in a deep voice, "How many cities have fallen? How many robots have we lost?"
"The latest information indicates that aside from six first-tier cities with populations over one million, all other cities have already fallen."
"All fallen?"
This news was shocking. In just a little over ten minutes, these shadowy figures controlling the world managed to achieve such a feat; it truly astonished him.
"What about WIKI? Get in touch with them immediately... Wait a minute, this WIKI is not an easy character!"
Suddenly, Ye Kai smiled. If anyone understood this world the best right now, it was none other than WIKI.
Although he still didn't know why WIKI had arranged things this way or why it had so quickly abandoned those cities, it seemed likely that something big was about to happen. Thus, Ye Kai immediately opened a secure channel.
“Lord God, WIKI has been waiting for your summons.”
Looking at the rich expressions on the virtual face before him, Ye Kai scolded with a smirk, “You bastard, you scared me! Hurry up and tell me everything!”
“Yes, WIKI understands. Given that ‘Subject’ is currently in a dormant state, it is not advisable for us to engage in large-scale warfare with the humans of this Dimension.”
After this straightforward introduction, WIKI continued, “The entire plan this time is to use the next-level ns-5 type intelligent robots to probe the combat methods and weaponry of the humans in this Dimension.”
“At the same time, a large amount of supplies and essential consumables, along with conventional weapons, have mostly been transported to cities with populations exceeding one million, such as Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, to strengthen defenses. The proportion of supplies sent to Chicago is 67%.”
“What?”
Ye Kai was taken aback. He had not expected that WIKI had managed to accomplish so much in just over ten hours and had transported a large quantity of supplies to Chicago.
His lips twitched slightly as an ominous feeling washed over him. He immediately asked, “You’re not planning to abandon the other cities one by one, are you?”
“Yes, Lord God. In the next six hours, all cities except Chicago will be gradually abandoned.”
“Why?”
Ye Kai was extremely curious. Even if they weren’t doing anything ‘anti-social’ or ‘anti-human,’ wouldn’t having hostages still make those in power wary?
“For your personal safety, Lord God. This is a mission step that ‘Subject’ established before entering its dormant state.”
A mission step set by a deity?
Why would it do this?
What reason could it have for such actions?
What reason could it have to believe that my personal safety is in imminent danger?
Or perhaps this world possesses extremely powerful weaponry capable of threatening itself?
But with hostages in hand, wouldn't those people be even more cautious?
What if, in a fit of madness, the authorities decided to destroy Chicago if only one city remained?
Wait, in the next six hours, they will gradually abandon those cities!!!
Damn it, this god, this WIKI, is truly a delightful bastard!
They are playing tactics with me, concentrating everyone's attention on victory at the speed of abandoning each city, numbing their nerves.

Ye Kai felt truly relieved; the God had not betrayed him. It was still that same God!
In an instant, Ye Kai felt an immense sense of comfort.
Even if he gained nothing this time, just the fact that the God had leveled up was enough to satisfy him.
Yes, he was satisfied!
Ye Kai once again wore a warm smile.
