After three months of extensive renovations, the area once known as Milwaukee, Wisconsin, had been completely cleared of the Undead.
It was the first Saturday of November in the year 001.
In the evening, under a clear sky, a bright full moon hung high above.
The newly constructed City of Hope square was filled with singing and dancing Native Americans and Ice Lancers.
Ye Kai stood on the easternmost platform of the square, embracing Cecilia. He slowly raised his glass, a smile gradually appearing at the corners of his mouth, which eventually blossomed into hearty laughter.
His mood was exceptionally good; anyone who could build an enormous city in just three to four months would feel as proud as he did.
After a thorough scavenging in the Mechanical Enemy Dimension, he had acquired seven and a half million improved Combat Robots and two hundred thousand engineering robots.
Now, this City of Hope was the result of all those robots and Ice Lancers working together over three months to finally complete its construction.
No matter which Dimension one looked at it from, the City of Hope could rightfully be called the greatest city in the world.
It encompassed nearly all of Wisconsin's territory. Although more than half of it had originally been forested land, it was now enclosed by a wall that stood forty meters tall and ten meters wide.
Moreover, there was an inner city built around what used to be Milwaukee, featuring walls of the same specifications.
Due to the large population and the urgent need to restore normal living conditions, this place had finally become a paradise. Everywhere one looked, there were lush green cornfields and oats, while various fruit trees in orchards were beginning to flourish.
Additionally, since Wisconsin was known for its hardwood production, most buildings in the outer city were constructed from wood, aside from those that remained intact from before.
Now, smiles returned to people's faces. They believed that their tragic suffering was behind them and that they were beginning to embrace the hope of a new life.
As for other food sources—such as turkeys, pigs, cattle, and various vegetables—these supplies had been continuously purchased by Ye Kai from other known Dimensions without interruption.
Now, three months later, the people here could finally live a self-sufficient life with ample food.
Galastad Ammer might have seemed inconspicuous among this group, but he felt just as much joy and excitement as anyone else.
Yet he remembered his responsibilities. From this moment on, he would only have one identity: the captain of Lord God Ye Kai's Silver Guard.
“Lord God, Galastad requests that wherever you go from now on, allow me to remain by your side. This is the plea of your most loyal knight, and the honor and expectation of being a Silver Knight.”
Looking at the golden-haired handsome man kneeling beside him, Ye Kai tugged at the corner of his mouth. He was feeling a bit of a headache; this guy was determined to be a member of his guard.
No matter where he went, he could always find this fellow unexpectedly guarding him, like a piece of chewing gum that he just couldn't shake off.
What should he do?
Ye Kai had only recently come to truly understand the power of the so-called Silver Knight. It was simply inhuman. If he had to describe just how powerful Galastad was, it would take Ye Yi, Ye Er, and Alice all working together to completely suppress him.
If even just two of them were present, they would definitely be defeated in a very embarrassing manner.
Feeling the soft laughter of the woman in his arms, Ye Kai feigned anger and shot her a glare. He then shook his head and sighed at the still-respectfully kneeling Galastad. “Alright, alright, I promise you. From now on, you can stay by my side, but…”
“Lord God, please! As long as it does not violate the oath we once made, even if you were to take my soul right now, Galastad would willingly comply!”
Looking at Denric, who was known as the most powerful man and was originally the master of Ice Lanster, Dimension, and Frozen Castle, he was currently raising a wine cup alongside the strongest Mage Envoy, Alex, both slightly bowing in acknowledgment.
Ye Kai downed his drink in one go and declared loudly, “I want you to select some more personnel to form the most powerful Silver Knight team. You will be the first leader of this Silver Knight team. Remember, the Silver Knight team must be the strongest and bravest knights under my command!”
Galastad suddenly raised his head, his eyes shining with brilliant Radiance. He once again spoke in a deep voice filled with unwavering determination: “I, Galastad Ammer, humbly obey Lord God's decree!”
At that moment, for some reason, Ye Kai felt as if an incredibly blinding Radiance erupted from the Great Light Sphere above in his System Space.
“Oh dear, what is this? Why does it feel so familiar?”
A deity suddenly leaped out from the Great Light Sphere, tilting its head while floating in mid-air. Frowning, it muttered, “Why do I feel like I’ve grown a bit?”
Ye Kai had no idea what was happening in System Space; even this chubby little girl didn’t know. But someone did.
Denric and Alex wore expressions of shock on their faces as if they had seen a ghost. Ye Kai couldn’t help but glance over at them. Before he could ask what was going on, he heard an excited exclamation from the woman in his arms.
Curiously following her gaze, he saw that at this moment under the bright moonlight, huge fireworks were bursting open in the sky.
Ye Kai smiled; he remembered now that these were fireworks designed according to the plot he was following. With today’s technology, creating heart-shaped fireworks was hardly a challenge at all.
Above them, there was a phrase of love lingering in the air.
No wonder the woman in his arms was so happy that tears sparkled in her eyes, her smile radiant.
Denric tugged at Alex, and the two took advantage of the fact that no one was noticing them to slip into a nearby corner and began to whisper.
"Mr. Alex, do you think Galastad has really found the 'true' faith?"
A glimmer of wisdom shone in Alex's eyes as he spoke with a hint of excitement, "Perhaps... it is the 'true' faith. My old friend, it is a genuine faith, not that kind of vain 'worship.'"
The doubts they had harbored in their hearts suddenly transformed into shock and exhilaration at that moment. How could they not be thrilled by the discovery of even a trace of 'true' faith?
"It's so beautiful!" Cecilia's face flushed with excitement. The other high-ranking members of Ice Lanster were equally exuberant, cheering wildly. Such a life and such beauty were simply breathtaking!
Several maids pushed carts filled with various wines and cakes toward them, bright smiles on their faces as they served the high-ranking officials.
Seeing the grateful expressions on everyone's faces, Ye Kai nodded slightly, raising his glass with a smile. "Cheers! To hope, to new beginnings, and to a brighter peace!"
"Cheers!!" everyone responded in unison, downing their drinks in one go!
