Shang Xiuxun secretly observed the gentle man before her. Although his demeanor was laid-back, for some reason, he did not give off an unpleasant vibe; instead, he felt quite natural to her.
Of course, most of her attention was focused on the delicious food in front of her.
Egg tarts, jellies, chocolates, ice creams, and many other oddly named yet exceptionally tasty desserts had captured most of her attention.
Not just her; even Juan was secretly swallowing her saliva, eagerly watching her sister.
As for the others, such as Luo Fang, the steward Shang Zhen, and other attendants like Liang, Liu, Tao, Wu, and Xu, they were similarly intrigued. While they were curious about how these pastries were made so deliciously, their primary focus remained on the True Immortal before them.
Ye Kai found it amusing. Although he hadn’t made it explicit, this group had already given a charming name to his ability to conjure various items out of thin air: "Sleeve Universe."
He wondered what expression Du Fuwei would have upon hearing this.
In the martial world, taking someone’s long-established nickname was akin to slapping them in the face; it could not be easily overlooked.
While savoring a piece of chocolate that looked unremarkable but was exceptionally smooth and delightful, Shang Xiuxun suddenly raised her head and curiously asked, “Senior, could you tell us about the Immortal Realm? What is it like?”
As soon as she spoke, the hall fell silent. Everyone held their breath in anticipation; they too were curious about what the Immortal Realm was really like.
Ye Kai had anticipated such a scene and had prepared something special—a simulation of an immortal palace based on various mythological films and television series like "Journey to the West."
Looking around and seeing everyone’s eyes sparkling with excitement, he noticed an old acquaintance hiding outside. He gently said, “Alright then, let me show you the Palace of the Divine Realm of that old Jade Emperor.”
With a theatrical flourish of his sleeve towards the sky, he softly commanded, “Star God’s decree, reveal! Palace of the Divine Realm, appear!”
In reality, it was merely a large array of holographic projectors being activated. However, even so, it startled the old acquaintance lurking nearby.
Golden light rolled like red clouds while auspicious mist spewed forth in purple waves. Before them stood a southern gate made of deep azure and crafted from exquisite glass; bright banners adorned with precious jade decorated its entrance.
Inside were several grand pillars entwined with golden-scaled dragons basking in sunlight; there were also long bridges where colorful-feathered phoenixes soared gracefully above.
The faint light flickered, shrouded in a misty haze that obscured the entrance. On the Longevity Star Platform, there were renowned flowers that had bloomed for thousands of years without fading.
At this moment, what Ye Kai displayed was the scene of numerous celestial beings paying homage to the Jade Emperor.
"Your subjects pay their respects to the Jade Emperor!"
"Your subjects pay their respects to the Supreme Emperor of the Infinite Purple Weeping Willow!"
After a thunderous hum, the crowd from Pasture was nearly overwhelmed with shock. They had speculated and guessed many things, but they never imagined that this celestial being before them could directly access the Lingxiao Palace of the celestial realm.
Lu Miaozu trembled all over; if he hadn't pinched himself hard and bitten his tongue, he might have cried out in astonishment.
"Purple Emperor, why are you here instead of receiving blessings in your Supreme Purple Weeping Palace?" The Jade Emperor, sporting a beautiful long beard, chuckled softly.
"Jade Emperor, do you mean to say that you do not welcome this Emperor?"
With a thought, Ye Kai's robe suddenly transformed into a golden-purple imperial gown adorned with countless twinkling stars.
"Hahaha, it's been so many years, and you still haven't changed your temper. Don't forget, one day on Earth is equivalent to one year in heaven. If you don't return soon, these mortal beings will have to tread the Six Paths of Reincarnation," the Jade Emperor laughed heartily and shook his head.
"Boring!" Ye Kai didn't expect the divine would arrange things this way. He rubbed his nose and said, "You may rise; this Emperor is leaving!"
He had thought he was merely a star deity, but it turned out he was a Purple Emperor. This divine being truly had a knack for nonsense!
However, it was quite interesting in its own right.
Perhaps decades later, when he looked back at this 'performance,' it wouldn't be so bad after all!
Yet while he felt pleased, tumultuous waves surged in the hearts of others, accompanied by flashes of lightning and thunder.
Shock!
Speechless!
In just about three minutes, everyone felt as if time had come to a complete standstill in that moment.
They stared blankly at the hall, which had returned to its usual appearance, but no one dared to speak. It seemed there were many things they wanted to say, yet they struggled to find the right words to express them.
Meanwhile, Ye Kai took advantage of the dazed state of the crowd and swiftly picked up the equally bewildered Wei Zhenzhen, floating out of the hall and landing in front of Lu Miaozu. "You've been watching for so long; did you see anything?"
"Huh?"
Lu Miaozu shuddered and snapped back to reality. He barely noticed that his clothes were soaked with cold sweat and hurriedly bowed at a ninety-degree angle, saying, "I, Lu Miaozu, a mere mortal from the lower realm, pay my respects to the Supreme Emperor of the Infinite Purple Weeping Willow!"
"Get up!"
Ye Kai said softly, "Let's go. Take me to your Cozy Nest; it looks quite interesting."
"Yes!"
Lu Miaozu suppressed his still racing heart and forced himself to walk ahead as a guide.
Curiously glancing at the couplet that read 'A room doesn't need to be grand; fragrance comes not from abundance,' Ye Kai smiled, feeling an odd sensation as if he were wandering through historical ruins.
As he passed under the plaque inscribed with 'Cozy Nest,' a sense of tranquility washed over him.
This made him once again marvel internally; Lu Miaozu, this 'useless god,' actually had quite a talent—he just hadn't been a decent person in the past.
At the entrance, two beams bore a couplet written on wooden plaques: 'Morning suits tuning the lute; evening suits beating the se; old friends arrive just in time; new friends come as rain begins.' The characters flowed gracefully yet were strong and powerful.
Upon entering the main hall, Ye Kai felt quite satisfied.
The hall was designed in a four-sided structure, with flowered wood separating windows that revealed the steep cliffs covered by plants behind them. The surrounding swaying bamboo subtly filtered into the hall, enhancing the solid yet unpretentious redwood furniture's relaxed and natural ambiance.
In the corner of the room stood a staircase made of Nanmu wood, leading to the upper level.
Everything about this place reflected the owner's taste and style.
Casting a glance at the respectful Lu Miaozu, Ye Kai casually sat down with the still-dazed woman in his arms and said softly, "Take out your fruit brew; this Sect would like to have a taste!"
Lu Miaozu carefully retrieved the fruit brew, not daring to be negligent in front of this most esteemed presence in the Three Realms and Six Paths.
Ye Kai gently sniffed the cup filled with emerald-colored brew, and a faint fruity aroma wafted from it. He raised the cup to his lips and took a sip. The brew slid down his throat smoothly, rich and mellow, refreshing yet harmonious, with a fragrance that lingered delightfully.
"Good wine, truly good wine!"
Only after this esteemed presence spoke did Lu Miaozu finally relax a little, feeling a surge of excitement within him. To receive praise from the Celestial Emperor was indeed a rare honor; such recognition in the mortal realm was likely as rare as phoenix feathers or qilin horns!
With this thought, he suddenly felt that even the Demonic Energy within him seemed to shrink back, not daring to stir even slightly.
However, considering the identity of the person before him, he didn't feel much concern.
Perhaps in his eyes, the Demonic Energy that had tormented him and was now nearing its end was hardly worth noticing.
