As soon as Ye Kai emerged from the dungeon, he sensed a faint aura of killing intent behind him, followed by Ren Woxing's hearty laughter.
At some point, Ren Woxing had found a long sword and with a swift motion, he infused his energy into the blade. A series of vibrating sounds echoed as he swung the sword directly at Ye Kai.
The strike came with tremendous force, moving as fast as lightning. In less than a blink of an eye, the sword's energy had already pricked the skin on Ye Kai's neck, causing a sharp sting.
"Clang!"
Irritated, Ye Kai scowled and turned around, sweeping his sleeve to deflect the attack. The robe's fabric met the long sword, and their energies collided with a thunderous impact, unlike their previous encounter where they had merely brushed against each other.
This time, however, their energies intertwined and lingered for two full breaths, buzzing like bees flapping their wings.
A flicker of surprise crossed Ye Kai's eyes as he felt a pulling force emanating from Ren Woxing's sword. It seemed to be gradually disassembling the true energy he had concentrated in his sleeve.
"Star-Absorbing Technique!"
Once the true energy clinging to his sleeve was dissipated, Ren Woxing's power surged forward like an unstoppable tide.

The energy behind this strike was contained yet potent. Ye Kai sensed the sudden surge of killing intent in Ren Woxing's eyes and noticed a layer of glow on the sword. With his keen ability to sense emotions, he quickly grasped this hint of malice. With a cold smirk, he stepped aside and executed the Translocation technique, evading the deadly strike with remarkable speed.
With a sharp sound, the Sword Finger unleashed a sword aura nearly a foot long, suddenly reversing direction to strike at Ren Woxing's chest.
"Clang!"
As the sword was thrust forward, the sword aura sliced through the air, producing a series of crisp sounds. However, it was met by the tip of Ren Woxing's sword, and the contained energy erupted violently, sending ripples through the air.
Ye Kai's sword intent shifted abruptly, swiftly drawing out dozens of sword lights that enveloped Ren Woxing's limbs and vital points on his chest.
This strike was both real and illusory, blending the two in a way that was astonishingly intricate. Even with Ren Woxing's decades of experience, he could not discern it in an instant. His eyes brightened as he let out a cold snort, slamming his left palm forward. A swirling surge of condensed energy erupted forth.
"Is this the inverse application of the Star Absorbing Technique?" Ye Kai raised an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes.
Before the force reached him, the dozens of sword lights transformed once more, merging into one. The speed was pushed to its limit, resembling a bolt of lightning as it pierced through the center of the energy.
"Boom!!!"
Ye Kai remained rooted in place while Ren Woxing staggered back six or seven steps. His palm tingled with numbness, and a trace of crimson blood seeped from his hand.
After retreating a few steps, Ren Woxing held his long sword horizontally, his expression showing signs of embarrassment and anger. With a fierce shout, he shook his sword and lunged forward once more!
Who was Ren Woxing?
He was once the leader of the Sun Moon Holy Cult, a figure of great renown in the martial world with numerous skilled subordinates beneath him!
At this moment, being forced back by someone so much younger? How could he face anyone after this? Although this battle would never be made public, Ren Woxing could not overcome this hurdle in his own heart.

Ren Woxing's body trembled; his face flushed unnaturally before turning pale. Stumbling back several meters, he coughed up a spray of Blood Mist, startled to see a hand growing larger in his vision.
"Bang!!!"
After taking a deep breath, a sound like crashing waves echoed from his abdomen. Then, his right arm cracked three times as he unleashed another palm strike. The violent clash of energies resounded once more.
The blue stone floor around them shattered explosively, dust flying up to seven or eight meters high.
It had to be said that Ren Woxing was indeed formidable. Despite over a decade of imprisonment that had nearly worn down his body, his martial prowess had only become more refined. In their exchange of blows, he surprisingly matched Ye Kai blow for blow!
