When the sound of crying erupted, Gao Qing didn't even wait for my response. She immediately rushed over to Yu, who had fallen unconscious. 0

After Gao Qing left, I found myself at a loss for words. 0

Gao Ling reacted quickly, saying, "This is bad. Could it be that the Demon Child is about to be born?" 0

I hurried towards Yu, with Gao Ling closely following behind. 0

Gao Ling asked, "Is that the crying of the Demon Child?" 0

Gao Qing was checking Gao Ling's pulse and paused for a moment before confirming, "Yes." 0

But how could that be possible? The Demon Child hadn't even been born yet; how could it be crying inside Yu's womb? 0

Gao Qing shook her head, indicating she didn't know. 0

Now things were getting tricky. The atmosphere hadn't lightened even though Chen Jian had been sealed away. Perhaps it was because the surroundings had returned to silence that Yue's parents quickly came downstairs. 0

Gao Qing instructed us to hold off on anything for now. 0

Both Gao Ling and I agreed. 0

When Yue's parents saw that Yu had fainted, they rushed over to inquire about her condition. Gao Qing simply explained that Yu had fainted from shock and would wake up after a good night's rest. 0

Yue's mother called for an aunt to help support Yu as they took her away. 0

Once they left, Uncle Cao turned to us and asked how things were being handled. 0

"Gao Ling" interjected, "Chen Jian has already been subdued, Uncle Cao, so you don't need to worry anymore." 0

Uncle Cao was overjoyed upon hearing this. "Finally, that troublesome spirit has been captured. Now my family can feel a bit safer." 0

After a moment, Uncle Cao paused and asked, "What about the Demon Child in Yu's belly?" 0

Gao Qing replied, "Don't worry about that. I will handle it properly, but now is not the right time." 0

Uncle Cao said, "After all this, I completely trust you. I'll leave Yu in your capable hands." 0

Gao Qing nodded in agreement. 0

Suddenly, Gao Ling coughed a few times and glanced at Uncle Cao. Understanding the hint, Uncle Cao quickly presented a red envelope. 0

Gao Qing shot a disdainful look at Gao Ling. 0

As it was getting late, we took the bowl used to seal Chen Jian and left Uncle Cao's house. 0

On our way out, Gao Qing instructed, "Burn those children's toys and buy some new ones." 0

Once outside, I still had many questions swirling in my mind. Why did Chen Jian have that pattern on his neck? It was highly likely that the pattern had caused him to become so filled with malice. 0

Gao Ling was straightforward; once we got into the car, he distributed the red envelopes. "Four digits—pretty generous," he remarked. 0

Gao Qing didn't hesitate either and took her share without any fuss. 0

I then asked from the backseat, "Why was the Demon Child in Yu's belly crying just now?" 0

Before Gao Qing could respond, Gao Ling chimed in, "Brother Fei, isn't it obvious? It must have known that its father was sealed by us and got scared." 0

Gao Qing frowned and told Gao Ling to stop the nonsense. 0

Gao Qing's face was gloomy, and the child in her womb, Yin Qi, seemed to be growing heavier. This was likely due to Chen Jian's presence affecting her, and Chen Jian himself had also changed, his hostility intensified several times over. 0

After a moment of contemplation, I decided not to hide anything from Gao Qing and directly said that I had found that pattern on Chen Jian's neck. 0

"What pattern?" she asked. 0

I replied, "The one carved in your uncle's house." 0

As soon as I finished speaking, Gao Qing's expression changed, but she remained silent. 0

Gao Qing still didn't know that her uncle was already dead and that the current Old Wang was nothing but a fake. 0

The atmosphere in the car became somewhat strange. Gao Ling said, "We need to think of a way to get rid of the demon child in Yu's belly!" 0

Gao Qing responded, "I'll find a way." 0

When we returned home, it was still not yet midnight. I quickly took a shower, and by the time I finished, it was almost time. I lit incense and burned joss paper for the urn. Then I planned to go to sleep. 0

However, lying in bed, I couldn't fall asleep. I kept staring at the floral ceiling, looking at the urn placed among the glutinous rice. This urn had indeed taken away my freedom. 0

Zhang Xun had come to find me twice recently; I wondered when he would come again. 0

There must be a conspiracy hidden behind that pattern. Lost in thought, I eventually succumbed to sleep. 0

The next morning, I was awakened by Gao Ling calling me. 0

I glanced at the time; it was only seven o'clock in the morning! 0

Why are we up so early with nothing going on? This isn't like Gao Ling at all! As I opened the door, I saw Gao Ling looking half-asleep. 0

It was clear that Gao Ling was also caught off guard. I glanced at Gao Qing, who had already finished washing up. So, I asked, "Why are we up so early? What’s the plan?" 0

Gao Qing replied directly, "Can you two stop dawdling? Hurry up and brush your teeth and wash your faces. We need to head to the Mass Grave soon." 0

What? The Mass Grave? Hearing those words first thing in the morning jolted me awake. 0

I asked, "What are we going to the Mass Grave for?" 0

Gao Ling echoed my confusion, "Yeah, what are we doing in that creepy place?" 0

Gao Qing responded, "You two ask too many questions. Don’t you want to earn back the rest of the money?" 0

"Of course we do," Gao Ling said. 0

"Then move a little faster," Gao Qing urged. 0

After getting ready, we left home around seven-thirty and drove to the Mass Grave, arriving around eight-thirty. 0

The Mass Grave was an unplanned burial site where people buried there generally had no identity or were completely unidentifiable. 0

In places like this, where bodies are buried haphazardly, the feng shui is all out of whack, and the Yin Qi is particularly heavy. 0

I couldn't understand why Gao Qing would bring us to such a place. 0

As we climbed the hill, the fog still lingered in the air, and the sunlight was weak, barely penetrating through. We walked on. 0

"Gao Qing," Gao Ling said, "why did you drag us out here to this creepy place so early?" 0

Gao Qing replied in a low tone, "We're looking for Millennium Coffin Soil." 0

I didn't understand what Millennium Coffin Soil was. Gao Ling was just as clueless, and naturally, so was I. It seemed like Gao Qing knew we were lost, and said, "The reason I'm looking for Millennium Coffin Soil is to nurture the fetus." 0

"Nurture the fetus?" 0

I was increasingly baffled by Gao Qing. Just before, she wanted to kill the Demon Child, and now she wanted to nurture a fetus? 0

Gao Qing urged us, "Hurry up and find it." 0

I replied, "You’re not even telling me what characteristics Millennium Coffin Soil has. How am I supposed to find it?" 0

Gao Qing said that Millennium Coffin Soil was blood-red and told us to keep our eyes open. 0

The Mass Grave was indeed vast! We had been searching for several hours without finding any trace of the red coffin soil. How could it possibly be here? 0

Gao Ling also chimed in, "In this dump of a place, how could there be Millennium Coffin Soil?" 0

Gao Qing insisted, "If I say it's here, then it's here. I found some here before." 0

We searched from morning until night without any luck, which tested my patience. Maybe there really wasn’t any Millennium Coffin Soil here. 0

Gao Ling suggested to Gao Qing, "Where did you find it last time? Let’s go look at that grave." 0

Gao Qing snapped back, "Are you stupid? If I found it last time, I took it all! That stuff is very precious." 0

Once again, Gao Ling had no retort against Gao Qing's scolding. By nightfall, we started searching with flashlights. Time passed slowly, testing our patience. 0

Frustrated with the search, Gao Ling cursed and said he wouldn’t look for this worthless stuff anymore. He plopped down on the ground. But not long after sitting down, Gao Ling let out a scream. Gao Qing and I reacted almost simultaneously. 0

I asked, "What happened?" 0

Gao Ling quickly stood up from the grave and exclaimed, "Damn it, something just touched my backside!" 0

We walked over, and I glanced back, saying, "Could it be a corpse trying to rise?" 0

At that moment, we were in the Mass Grave, stepping on what could very well be bodies beneath our feet. The idea of a corpse rising was not far-fetched at all. 0

We exchanged glances; in such a haunted place, it would be unnatural not to feel fear. Gao Qing took a deep breath and said, "Let's not scare ourselves." 0

But just as Gao Qing finished speaking, something unexpected happened. 0

The ground where we were staring suddenly began to heave, as if something was moving beneath it. We all held our breath, frozen in place. 0

And then, in the next second... 0
