I cursed under my breath as I realized something had tripped me. I got up from the ground, wincing because I had fallen hard, scraping the skin on my palm against the rough stones. 0

The sting from the wound in my palm made me curse again. "Which bastard did this?" I turned to see a person in black lying motionless on the ground, their legs sprawled out across the path. They must have been the one who tripped me! 0

I hadn't seen anyone on the road just moments ago. Damn it, it had to be intentional. 0

I approached him and said, "Hey, buddy, what’s the meaning of this?" But he didn’t respond at all. I kicked him lightly with my foot. 0

The trees lining both sides of the road were dense and chaotic, and there was no one else around. 0

It felt like sunlight couldn’t penetrate this place. I kicked him again, but he remained still. My thoughts began to shift; what if I had just stumbled upon a dead body? The idea sent a chill down my spine. Surely, it couldn't be that unlucky to encounter a corpse right after arriving here? 0

My heart began to race. In broad daylight, I had run into a dead person—this Zhang Family Village was truly eerie. 0

But hadn’t everyone from Zhang Family Village died long ago? Was there another recent death here? 0

According to Fat Zhang, everyone from Zhang Family Village had perished over thirty years ago. So was this person someone who had died recently? Slowly crouching down, I caught a faint whiff of decaying flesh. I covered my mouth and nose; the corpse was face down. I tapped him gently, but there was still no response. 0

I decided to flip him over, but once I did, I nearly jumped out of my skin. 0

Damn! His face was crawling with maggots; it was almost completely devoured. He was unrecognizable, his features distorted beyond belief. 0

I quickly pulled my hand back and muttered an expletive—not directed at the dead man, but rather to bolster my own courage. 0

Good grief, that really scared me. 0

As I glanced around at my surroundings, an unsettling feeling washed over me; the atmosphere turned ominous. 0

Running into a dead body right after stepping out of the car was an ill omen. Looking at the winding muddy path ahead, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of dread creeping in. 0

I hesitated, unsure whether to continue down the path. Taking a deep breath, I glanced at the corpse and felt a wave of dread wash over me. It was truly tragic and terrifying. 0

Damn it, what a bad start. 0

I looked at the deceased and wondered if this body was a warning for me. 0

Initially, I thought about calling the police, but I realized that would involve a lot of talking, and I was in a hurry to get to Zhang Family Village. So, I decided against making the call right away. 0

I figured it wouldn’t be too late to report it once I got out. I shouldn’t be in Zhang Family Village for too long; at most, I’d be out by tomorrow morning. 0

I muttered to the corpse, “Sorry, brother. I didn’t mean to step on you.” 0

That was a lie; what I really thought was, Damn it, you tripped me up! And now I have to apologize? If you weren’t dead, I’d give you a good beating. 0

After saying that, I walked deeper into the area. Now I believed in ghosts; if I didn’t apologize, who knew what trouble might come my way? 0

I pulled out my phone to check the time—it was nearly two in the afternoon. The sun was blazing down on me, and sweat dripped from my forehead. I hadn’t brought any water, so all I could do was endure. 0

I had thought the path wouldn’t take long, but after walking for over an hour without seeing the village—or any signs of life—I began to feel frustrated. 0

Damn it, this road is really long and remote. After such a long trek, my feet were killing me. I took a short break of about fifteen minutes before pushing on. 0

By the time I arrived, it was around four in the afternoon. Damn, that was really far. The light was slowly fading. 0

As I reached this point, the view opened up a bit more. Fields appeared on either side of the road; looking out over them, I saw they had become overgrown and neglected. 0

I looked up and spotted an archway with "Zhang Family Village" written across the top in large characters. The archway was made of wood and had once been painted red, but decades of wind and rain had stripped it of its color. 0

I took out a photo to compare and confirmed that this was indeed the right place. 0

In the photo, I was standing right in the center. 0

Damn it, it seems that Zhang Family Village really exists, which means that Fat Zhang wasn't lying to me. 0

As I stood in front of the archway, a scene suddenly floated into my mind: Fat Zhang and a few others were here, laughing together, and we took a photo. 0

I suddenly wondered if the other person who had been "crossed out" in the photo was that woman. With this thought, I quickly looked at the picture. 0

However, after just one glance, I dismissed the idea that the Fifth Person in the photo was the woman from the video. The reason for my dismissal was simple: she didn't have any breasts; her chest was flat. Generally speaking, women have breasts. 0

Just as I was about to tuck the photo into my pocket, my hand suddenly froze. To be precise, it was my thoughts that froze. I began to wonder: if there were photos and videos, then who took them? 0

Could there be a sixth person? If I'm not mistaken, that sixth person should be the woman. With this thought, everything started to make sense. 0

The sun was still quite intense, and I was already sweating profusely. I took a deep breath and reminded myself, Chen Fei, don’t be afraid; nothing will go wrong. 0

I then walked further inside. The archway was a bit distant from the houses in the village, but it wasn’t far; it took me about ten minutes to enter the village. 0

The houses were all old and scattered without any pattern. Once inside, I felt an eerie silence—there wasn't even a whisper of wind. 0

At this point, I was extremely thirsty and began searching for water. I approached a house and pushed the door open. However, as soon as I stepped inside, I heard a sharp and piercing scream. 0

I froze for a moment; my heart raced. No way, could I have encountered a ghost so soon? Following the sound, I focused my gaze and saw a naked woman. Damn, she had a great figure, especially her chest—it was incredibly full and practically overflowing. 0

She hurriedly covered her chest with her hands and shouted, "Who are you? Pervert! Help me!" 0

Hearing her cry for help made it clear that she was alive. Besides, it was broad daylight; the sun hadn't set yet—ghosts couldn't possibly appear now. 0

As she shouted for help, a man quickly rushed over. He first comforted her not to be afraid and then turned to me, grabbing my collar and scolding me angrily: "You little brat! How dare you peep at my girlfriend!" 0

I quickly apologized, saying it was a misunderstanding. I had no idea there was someone in this room! 0

But the man wouldn’t let it go, insisting, "Is a misunderstanding all you have to say? Did you just let my girlfriend be stared at for nothing?" 0

I was furious. Was I peeping? I had clearly walked in openly to take a look. Seeing this man being so unreasonable made me angry. He grabbed my collar, spitting as he yelled at me. I had my limits too, and I pushed him down to the ground. 0

But wait! Wasn’t Zhang Fatty from Zhang Family Village supposed to be dead? How could there still be living people here? 0

I felt a bit confused and glanced at the two of them. The man quickly jumped up, ready to hit me. 0

The woman said, "I’ll call everyone over right now." 0

The man was relatively weak and wasn’t my match at all. However, I didn’t want to get entangled here. After pushing him down, I was about to turn and leave when suddenly five or six people appeared outside the door, blocking my way. 0

Damn it! What the hell? Weren’t all the people from Zhang Family Village supposed to be dead? Where did these people come from? 0

I was pushed back into the room. By now, the light had dimmed considerably, and I thought that this beating was unavoidable. 0

However, one thing was certain: these people were all alive. 0

They looked fierce and seemed ready to attack. I prepared to explain myself, but just then, the woman who had been naked suddenly screamed again. I quickly turned my head and saw her clothes fall away from in front of her. In an instant, she was completely exposed. At the same time, her eyes rolled back, her body began to convulse, and she let out a series of pitiful cries that made it seem like she was possessed. 0
