Following Ishii Ansei, Honda Tashun began to learn the way of the sword. Influenced by Ishii Ansei, he became aware of the hidden talents within Huaxia Martial Arts and aspired to challenge them one day, which is why he studied the Huaxia Language.
"You dare to strike someone in front of me? If you don't give me an explanation, don't blame me for being rude," Honda Tashun said in Huaxia Language. Although his speech was somewhat awkward, it was understandable.
"I don’t need to explain myself to you, even if I were to kill someone," Jiang Chen replied nonchalantly, his eyes filled with disdain.
Honda Tashun's cultivation level was far weaker than that of the two Island Nation individuals Jiang Chen had killed earlier that afternoon. It was absurd for him to act so brazenly in front of Jiang Chen. He probably had no idea what had happened earlier! But Murata Kazuki should know; didn’t he tell him?
"You are too arrogant. Your Huaxia Martial Arts are nothing special. You, a mere child, dare to make a scene in our Island Nation? I could take you down with just one hand," Honda Tashun said in a low voice, his anger already igniting.
"Is that so?" Jiang Chen smiled.
"Master Honda, you are not his match!" Tengye Kikuko quickly warned Honda Tashun.
Tengye Kikuko intended to offer a kind reminder, but instead, it completely enraged Honda Tashun. What? A master like me isn't a match for this child?
His eyes glinted with murderous intent as he reached out, his fingers curling like steel claws towards Jiang Chen. In Honda Tashun's view, Jiang Chen was just a young man unworthy of him drawing his katana.
Honda Tashun struck like lightning, confident that he could seize Jiang Chen effortlessly. However, just as he was about to grab him, Jiang Chen suddenly shifted his form like a phantom, causing Honda Tashun's confident expression to change dramatically.
"Slap!"
A crisp sound echoed through the air as Honda Tashun was sent flying.
"You are not my opponent; don't embarrass yourself further," Jiang Chen said coolly.
Honda Tashun stood up from the ground, glaring at Jiang Chen with eyes that seemed ready to shoot fire. He had been slapped by a young man—such humiliation was unbearable for him. Yet, as a martial artist, he wasn’t foolish enough to think that Jiang Chen had merely gotten lucky with that slap.
Jiang Chen's speed had caught him completely off guard. However, despite this realization, Honda Tashun would not be intimidated. The martial artists of the Island Nation revered the spirit of the samurai; if he lost to Jiang Chen without regaining face, he would rather commit seppuku.
"Your speed is impressive. I’ve heard that in Huaxia there is a style called Wing Chun; that move you just used must be Wing Chun," Honda Tashun said solemnly.
Jiang Chen smiled but did not respond.
Honda Tashun continued, "Unarmed, I may not be your match, but what you don’t know is that I practice the way of the sword. When I draw my blade, no matter how fast your fists and legs are, they cannot match my sword."
"If you're unconvinced, feel free to try," Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
"Fine, you’ve forced me to draw my sword," Honda Tashun said slowly as he unsheathed his katana.
The slender blade gleamed coldly as Honda Tashun stood poised with it, glaring intently at Jiang Chen.
To be honest, deep down inside Honda Tashun felt uncertain. Jiang Chen’s calm demeanor and his earlier strike had deeply shocked him. If he couldn't defeat Jiang Chen even with his katana after being bested unarmed, then he would truly have no choice but to commit seppuku.
