Tengye Kikuko saw Honda Tashun brandishing his weapon, and worried that things might escalate to a deadly confrontation, she quickly stepped in between Jiang Chen and Honda Tashun.
"Senior Honda, Mr. Jiang is not an ordinary person; you really can't match him. This afternoon, Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu were killed by him. Don't you know that?" Tengye Kikuko urged in Island Language, her tone earnest.
"What? Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu were killed by him?" Honda Tashun was taken aback, looking at Murata Kazuki as if seeking confirmation of this shocking news.
Murata Ichimura nodded helplessly; this was something that couldn't be hidden any longer. He had deliberately refrained from mentioning it earlier to see if Honda Tashun could teach Jiang Chen a lesson. Clearly, if Jiang Chen could kill Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu, then Honda Tashun stood no chance.
Honda Tashun furrowed his brow deeply. The fact that Jiang Chen could kill Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu indicated he was indeed no ordinary individual; even the Yagawa Association would likely not be able to contend with him.
Murata Ichimura realized that he had been foolish to think he could teach Jiang Chen a lesson; it would only lead to his own demise. How unreasonable!
Recognizing that he was no match for Jiang Chen and feeling the weight of Murata Kazuki's unreasonableness, Honda Tashun decided against challenging Jiang Chen further. He turned to Tengye Kikuko and said, "Alright, I'll find him for a spar another time."
Tengye Kikuko breathed a sigh of relief and quickly glanced at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen was uninterested in further conversation with these people. "Let's go now," he said, heading toward the door.
Tengye Kikuko nodded, informed her parents briefly, and left with Jiang Chen.
Tengye Shi and the others stood there in shock. They recognized Honda Tashun as a renowned swordsmanship expert but were astounded that such a famous martial artist had just been sent flying by Jiang Chen with a single slap. It was simply unbelievable.
Only then did they start to believe Tengye Kikuko's words—that Jiang Chen was far more formidable than they had imagined. But he was just a young man; was it that Huaxia people were truly exceptional, or were Honda Tashun and the others merely living off their past reputations? Was the martial arts of Island Nation really so far behind Huaxia?
Seeing the strange looks from Tengye Shi and the others, Honda Tashun felt embarrassed inside but maintained a calm exterior. He coldly remarked, "That kid is Kikuko's friend; I went easy on him. I didn't expect him to fight back with all his strength. Out of respect for Miss Kikuko, I won't hold this against him now, but I'll settle it later when I have the chance."
Tengye Shi and the others clearly did not believe he would go easy on Jiang Chen but dared not speak out against him, merely nodding in agreement.
"Let's get going too," Honda Tashun said curtly before striding away.
Murata Kazuki felt a mix of urgency, anger, and helplessness. Although he had suspected that Honda Tashun might not win against Jiang Chen, he hadn't anticipated such a vast difference in their abilities.
Seeing Honda Tashun leave quickly, he hurried after him and once in the car explained, "Master Honda, I didn't expect that kid to be so powerful! I thought Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu were ambushed by him; I didn't realize he was truly this formidable—he looks so young!"
"Yes, very young; he must be a martial arts genius with a strong background," Honda Tashun replied solemnly.
"Then... can you deal with him?" Murata Kazuki asked cautiously.
"I'm not skilled in close combat; I was careless earlier and got ambushed by him. You also didn't mention that Ishii Ansei and Yamato Zawafu were killed. However, if it comes to a swordsmanship contest, I'm confident I won't lose to him," Honda Tashun exaggerated.
One can lose their integrity but not their face.
