I remember that Captain Wu once told me there was a secret room in the police station, built by the older generation to store some important secrets, and that there were also some items kept inside. 0

Could it be that Captain Wu is really beneath the police station? 0

"Wang Niu, do you know where the entrance to the secret room is?" Xiaomei asked me. 0

I shook my head, feeling disappointed as I replied, "I don't know. Captain Wu only mentioned something about going down, and I did ask." 0

Upon hearing this, Xiaomei looked disheartened. My gaze remained fixed on the personnel stationed at the police station. 0

"Wang Niu, do you have the compass that Uncle Tiger gave you?" Xiaomei's voice came again. 0

I turned to look at Xiaomei and instinctively checked my pockets. To my surprise, I found something there; it was indeed the compass that Uncle Tiger had given me. 0

"Hurry up and use this compass," Xiaomei urged. 0

I nodded and held the compass towards the police station, but it remained completely still, as if it were broken. 0

"What’s wrong? It shouldn’t be like this. Wang Niu, did you break it?" Xiaomei asked. 0

I shook my head and said, "Uncle Tiger told me when he gave me the compass that it's a special item. It only breaks if the user destroys it; otherwise, it should work fine." 0

Xiaomei furrowed her brow, seemingly deep in thought while I continued to focus on the compass. 0

"I got it! Wang Niu!" Xiaomei exclaimed excitedly as she took the compass from my hands. Pointing at the needle, she said, "Look, it's covered by a layer of mist. You need to clear this mist for the compass to work properly. Didn't I tell you? There’s a force obscuring Captain Wu and their presence." 0

My eyes lit up as I asked Xiaomei how to remove the mist from the needle. 0

Xiaomei pointed at my finger and explained that in order to clear the mist from the needle, I would need to use my most Yang Qi blood to wipe away the black fog on it, and that my own blood was indeed the purest Yang Qi. 0

I understood immediately, without hesitation, I bit my finger until it bled, letting the blood drip onto the compass. I heard a sizzling sound as the mist that had been swirling around the compass disappeared. Soon, the needle began to move, pointing towards the back of the police station, which had transformed into a mountain. 0

Xiaomei and I exchanged glances. Could it be that Captain Wu and the others were on that mountain? 0

"Wang Niu, let's check out the back mountain. We might find the entrance to the secret chamber," Xiaomei suggested. 0

I nodded in agreement and circled around the police station to reach the mountain. The scene was similar here; the flowers and trees were all destroyed, everything was gray, resembling a wasteland. 0

"Wang Niu, look! The compass is spinning continuously," Xiaomei remarked. 0

I glanced at the compass, frowning. Its constant spinning indicated that Captain Wu and his team were indeed nearby, but their presence had been interrupted by something. 0

"They're right here. Let's split up and search," I said to Xiaomei. 0

She nodded, and we divided into three groups. 0

As I moved forward, the needle on the compass shook even more violently, causing a surge of excitement within me. Did this mean Captain Wu was really close? 0

I quickened my pace and continued onward. Suddenly, I tripped over something and fell to the ground, my mouth filling with dust. 0

I quickly spat it out and noticed an object nearby—it was a gun. 0

I picked it up and examined it closely. It was Captain Wu's gun. My heart raced with excitement; this meant he was indeed nearby. My resolve strengthened as I pressed on, hoping for new discoveries. To my surprise, I kept finding familiar items along the way. 0

When I reached a small rock, however, there were no more items to be found, and the path ahead seemed to vanish. I paused for a moment—could this be where they were? 0

But it didn’t seem likely since this rock was very small. 0

Through our mental connection, I called over Xiaomei and the child. 0

"What do you think?" I asked, pointing at the stone in front of us. 0

Xiaomei and the child stared intently at the stone. After a while, they shook their heads, looking puzzled. At that moment, Xiaomei asked me if I had made a mistake. 0

I assured her confidently that I hadn't. 0

Furrowing her brow, Xiaomei placed her hand on the stone as if trying to investigate something. After a moment, she took my hand and, without me noticing when, a small knife appeared in her hand. I looked at her in confusion, unsure of what she intended to do. 0

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through my hand. I looked down to see that Xiaomei had cut my finger. I felt a surge of anger and was about to ask her why she did that when she placed my hand on top of the stone. 0

I hesitated—had Xiaomei discovered something again? 0

Blood flowed from my finger, quickly covering the entire stone, and then a map appeared. 0

I was taken aback as Xiaomei released my hand and examined the map closely. After a moment, she smashed the stone to pieces. 0

"What are you doing? I hadn't even seen it clearly yet," I said helplessly. 0

Xiaomei shot me a disdainful glance and said, "Don't worry; I've memorized it. I know where Captain Wu and the others are now." 0

"You figured it out?" I looked at Xiaomei in surprise. Just moments ago, she was only staring at the stone—how did she manage to find it? 0

Xiaomei explained, "I don't know if you noticed, but when I was looking at the stone earlier, I saw some patterns on its surface. I touched them and guessed it might be some kind of route, but I couldn't see it clearly. That's why I borrowed your blood to test it." 0

After saying that, Xiaomei smiled sheepishly, giving off an air that was both charming and infuriating. 0

"Then how should we proceed?" I asked. 0

Xiaomei pointed to the left and said, "Do you see that? The left side is covered in flowering vines, but there's a secret here: behind the vines is a stone door." 0

I raised an eyebrow and replied, "So you mean if we get through this stone door, we can find Captain Wu and the others, right?" 0

Xiaomei nodded. Excitedly, I walked towards the flowering vines on the left. 0

Since it wasn't very far, we quickly stood in front of the door concealed by the vines. To be safe, I instructed the child to stay nearby and keep watch. If anything happened, they were to alert me and Xiaomei. 0

I pushed aside the vines in front of me and, just as Xiaomei had said, there was indeed a stone door. 0

I pushed hard against the stone, but it seemed impossible to open; no matter how much I tried, it wouldn't budge. 0

Taking a deep breath, I attempted again when Xiaomei stopped me and pointed at something beneath the stone door. "Look at what’s down there." 0

I paused for a moment and shifted my gaze to below the stone door, where I noticed a small hole. 0

"What is this?" I asked Xiaomei. 0

Xiaomei thought for a moment, as if recalling something from earlier. "It seems like something is needed to open it." 0

Suddenly, Xiaomei's eyes fell on the compass in my hand. I was taken aback and lifted the compass, asking her if there was a problem. 0

Xiaomei took the compass from my hand, crouched down, and gestured towards the hole below. "Wang Niu, don't you think this hole is just the right size for the compass?" 0

I was somewhat confused by Xiaomei's words and asked, "Are you saying that this compass is what we need to open the stone door?" 0

Xiaomei's eyes lit up at my words. "Now that you mention it, I think you're right. Let's give it a try." 0

As she spoke, Xiaomei handed the compass back to me, urging me to take the lead. 0

I took the compass and crouched down, aligning it with the hole below. A sound echoed as the stone door began to open. 0

I couldn't help but exclaim, "It worked!" 0

As soon as I said that, the stone door slowly swung open, revealing a clear path ahead of us. 0

Is this the secret room in the police station? 0

"We should hurry inside," Xiaomei urged. 0

I nodded, remembering that the child was still keeping watch for us. I suggested that Xiaomei go fetch him, but she shook her head, insisting that he would find us. 0

I agreed and stepped inside, with Xiaomei following closely behind. As we entered, the stone door closed automatically. I expected darkness within, but to my surprise, bright lights illuminated both walls. 0

"Just keep going straight; they're inside," Xiaomei instructed. 0

I nodded, quickening my pace as my heart raced with excitement. I was about to see Captain Wu and the others. 0

The tunnel was quite long, and it took a while before we reached a corner. As we turned, we found ourselves in front of a large room filled with numerous files. 0
