"Wang Jun, let's go in" I nodded. When we stepped into Underworld, a very gloomy atmosphere directly enveloped us. For a moment, Ruoxi and I were froze by the air-conditioning for a while before the air disappeared. "Wang Jun, I seem to feel something is wrong" Ruoxi said to me. "What's wrong?" Ruoxi stepped forward and looked around, seeming to be looking for something. This made me curious, so I walked up to Ruoxi and said, "Ruoxi, what are you looking at?" Ruoxi turned around and said, "Did you feel strange that the breath just now seemed to be telling us something?" I was stunned. After a while, I recalled the breath just now. Although Ruoxi and I were resisted by that breath a few minutes ago, the breath did not hurt us. On the contrary, there was still a familiar feeling. Could it be "You mean Captain Wu" I said excitedly. Ruoxi nodded and said yes, and pointed to the left. I looked over instantly and saw a trace of black Gas appearing on the left, which seemed to guide us to a place. I immediately walked to the left with Ruoxi, following the black energy. "Wang Jun, I remembered, this is the breath of Captain Wu" Ruoxi turned to me and said. "You said this is the breath of Captain Wu" I was surprised. I thought it was Captain Wu who used the black energy to guide us here, but I didn't expect that it was the breath of Captain Wu. However, when I thought about it carefully, Captain Wu’s identity is different, he is the King of Hell in Underworld, and naturally his aura is also different. Ruoxi nodded and looked forward.
I looked back, and the black mist floating in the air grew fainter. Could it be that Captain Wu was nearby?
I immediately forced the blood from my fingers, and in an instant, a red light illuminated the area ahead. I noticed a ripple of disturbance in the air, and as I exerted more strength, the ripples intensified.
Before long, a massive cage appeared before me, and inside was Captain Wu.
"Wang Jun, look! That's Captain Wu!" Ruoxi exclaimed excitedly.
I nodded and followed Ruoxi toward Captain Wu. I couldn't tell what had happened to him; he seemed to be in a deep coma, as if he were on the brink of death.
"Wang Jun, is Captain Wu alright?" Concern appeared on Ruoxi's face.
I shook my head, unsure of how to respond, and tried to get closer to Captain Wu, but a mysterious force blocked my way.
"It seems like there's something here," I said, glancing at the air with a serious expression.
"It's the power from the Underworld," Ruoxi replied.
I attempted to destroy this force blocking us, but just as I was about to do so, it surged with even greater strength and violently pushed me backward.
"Wang Jun, are you okay?" Ruoxi quickly caught me.
I shook my head to indicate I was fine. It seemed that, as Ruoxi had said, the only way forward was to enter Captain Wu's consciousness space to awaken him; otherwise, we wouldn't be able to break through this force.
"Ruoxi, you guard me," I said before sitting down and using Divine Power to enter Captain Wu's consciousness space.
My consciousness left my body and entered a vast space filled with large stones all around.
I looked around but didn't see Captain Wu's consciousness. Suddenly, a light flickered in the distance. Within seconds, it vanished.
I hurried over to that spot.
To my surprise, I found Captain Wu's consciousness hanging from a tree. My heart leaped with joy as I strode over and retrieved his consciousness.
"Captain Wu, wake up!" At that moment, his consciousness appeared dazed; there was no light in his eyes.
No matter how I called out, Captain Wu remained unresponsive, which made me anxious.
Could it be that something was wrong with Captain Wu's consciousness?
Just as I was feeling worried, Captain Wu's awareness suddenly reacted, slowly opening his eyes, though there was a hint of confusion in his gaze as he looked at me.
I was puzzled by Captain Wu's reaction. What was going on? Did he not recognize me?
“Captain Wu, do you remember me?”
Captain Wu shook his head, his eyes still filled with bewilderment. At that moment, I heard a voice in my ear—it was Ruoxi's.
“Wang Jun, Captain Wu is missing a fragment of his soul. You need to inject the missing part into his consciousness for him to awaken.”
With Ruoxi's reminder, I understood what needed to be done.
I placed Captain Wu's consciousness before me while I sat behind him, channeling the soul fragment into him.
Since Captain Wu had once been a mortal and I belonged to the King of Humanity, upon returning to the human realm, I naturally possessed all the rights here. Thus, I could retrieve the lost fragment of Captain Wu's soul.
I infused the Wandering Souls into Captain Wu's consciousness, and immediately he began to react, shaking uncontrollably.
This was Captain Wu adapting to the soul fragment; it had been too long since his soul had left his consciousness, so there were bound to be some reactions during the integration.
“Captain Wu,” I called out as he stopped shaking.
After a moment, Captain Wu slowly began to respond. He turned to look at me with a hint of confusion in his eyes.
“Captain Wu, are you back?” I asked, feeling uncertain about whether he had returned to normal.
“Young brother,” Captain Wu opened his mouth, a flicker of expression appearing on his face.
Hearing that made me overjoyed—Captain Wu's consciousness had indeed returned!
“You finally remember me!” I felt like lifting Captain Wu in celebration.
“What happened? Why do you say that? And where is this place?” Captain Wu stood up and looked around in confusion.
I suddenly felt guilty, but now was not the time to dwell on such matters.
“Captain Wu, let’s not talk about that right now. I’ll take you out first. We can discuss everything later; you are still conscious.”
Upon hearing my words, Captain Wu's expression grew even more confused. I didn’t have time to worry about that; I directly brought Captain Wu's consciousness into this space.
I opened my eyes, and Ruoxi, seeing that I had awakened, anxiously asked what was wrong.
I turned my gaze to Captain Wu and said, “It’s all right now; we just need to wait for Captain Wu to wake up.”
As soon as I finished speaking, Captain Wu, who had been motionless, suddenly reacted.
“Wang Jun, look! Captain Wu is awake!” Ruoxi pointed at Captain Wu.
Once Captain Wu showed signs of movement, the barrier that had been blocking us disappeared.
Ruoxi and I walked over and opened the cage that had imprisoned Captain Wu, helping him to his feet.
Although Captain Wu had regained consciousness, he still appeared very weak.
“Wang Jun, you just expended a lot of Divine Power. Let me help supply some Divine Power to Captain Wu,” Ruoxi said.
I nodded and didn’t try to be brave. Ruoxi instructed me to help support Captain Wu.
Ruoxi stood behind Captain Wu and placed her hands on his back, channeling her Divine Power into him.
After a moment, I noticed wisps of black mist rising from Captain Wu's back.
This was the Miasma stored within his body.
No wonder Captain Wu was so weak; it turned out the Miasma was obstructing his strength and sealing off his original Divine Power.
Ruoxi continued to channel her power into Captain Wu. At this point, the black mist emanating from him was decreasing rapidly, indicating that the Miasma within him had been completely cleared away.
“Ruoxi, that’s enough,” I said as I noticed the change in her expression.
Upon hearing my words, Ruoxi withdrew her hand. Seeing her weak demeanor, I immediately pulled her into my embrace and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"
Ruoxi shook her head and replied, "I'm fine, Wang Jun."
Still feeling uneasy, I used Divine Power to check Ruoxi's condition. After confirming that there was nothing seriously wrong, I finally felt relieved.
"Thank you, little brother," Captain Wu said as he looked at us.
"It's nothing. By the way, there's something you need to do right away," I recalled Ruoxi's earlier words.
Captain Wu looked at me and Ruoxi with a puzzled expression. I explained the situation to him, and after a moment of contemplation, he nodded in agreement.
Together, we descended to the human realm, where Captain Wu began collecting the Yin Qi present in the world.
