The child paused for a moment before turning to Wang Niu and saying, "It's right back where we were."
After saying this, the child glanced back, but to everyone's surprise, Xiaomei was nowhere to be seen at that spot.
In an instant, both the child and Wang Niu panicked. Meanwhile, the Ghost Child remained subdued by the Heavenly Emperor's Light at its original position. This made Wang Niu think of the Ghost Child's people, and he quickly scanned the surroundings. However, there was nothing unusual in sight, which left Wang Niu momentarily stunned. Just then, the child's astonished voice caught Wang Niu's attention. He followed the child's gaze and saw a group of demons standing not far away, with Xiaomei in their grasp. This caused Wang Niu's heart to tremble violently; he couldn't believe what was happening.
Wang Niu's pupils dilated as he watched. At that moment, the Demon Child, restrained by the Emperor's Light, became agitated and began to thrash against it. This made Wang Niu's heart sink deeper with worry. The child moved closer to Wang Niu and said, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, I fear the Emperor's Light won't hold much longer. If this continues, the Demon Child will surely break free."
Listening to the child's words only heightened Wang Niu's anxiety. If the Demon Child escaped and joined forces with those demons, their pressure would increase significantly. Taking a deep breath, Wang Niu prepared to strengthen the Heavenly Emperor's Light when suddenly, the group of demons charged forward and threatened him, "If you don't release our Demon King, your friend will die immediately."
With that, Wang Niu watched as one of the demons reached out and tightened its grip around Xiaomei's neck. In an instant, Xiaomei turned pale and her face looked dreadful.
Wang Niu felt a tightness in his chest and said to the demons, "Don't act rashly. You want your Demon King freed, right? I will grant your wish."
With that said, Wang Niu was about to release the Demon Child when suddenly the child stepped in front of him. "No! Heavenly Emperor Uncle! If you let the Demon Child out, who knows how many more people will die!"
Upon hearing this, Wang Niu was taken aback as well; he knew very well that people would die if he released the Demon Child. But if he didn't let it go, Ruoxi would be in danger. This left Wang Niu feeling deeply conflicted as he glanced between the Demon Child and Xiaomei.
At that moment, Xiaomei looked even worse than before. Just as he was about to make a decision, Xiaomei suddenly took an unbelievable action that left Wang Niu stunned and unable to believe his eyes.
"Don't!" Wang Niu shouted at Xiaomei. In an instant, something inexplicable happened; Xiaomei suddenly exploded. The surrounding fragments scattered everywhere, leaving Wang Niu completely dumbfounded while the child's face turned pale with horror as they rushed toward the demons in a desperate attempt to confront them. Wang Niu seized this opportunity to stop the child; he knew that if they went over there, it would surely lead to danger.
The child was extremely agitated. Wang Niu said to them firmly, "Don't do this; it will only make things more dangerous."
Upon hearing Wang Niu's words, the child froze for a moment before responding, "Your mother still has a chance to survive."
The moment the child heard those words, he immediately calmed down, though he looked at Wang Niu with disbelief. Wang Niu, seeing the expression on the child's face, felt a pang of sympathy in his heart. He gently patted the child's head and said, "Do you trust me? I will bring your mother back."
Upon hearing Wang Niu's words, the child nodded vigorously and then glanced at the Demon Child before turning back to Wang Niu. "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, since those monsters are no longer a threat, let's get started and officially eliminate the Demon Child."
As soon as the child finished speaking, a sinister wind suddenly swept in from afar. Wang Niu sensed something and immediately warned the child, "Not good, something is coming!"
In an instant, a fierce shadow rushed toward them, tightening Wang Niu's heart with anxiety. The child glanced at the Demon Child and reassured Wang Niu, "Don't worry, Heavenly Emperor Uncle; I will help you!"
With that, the child charged toward the shadow and began to engage in battle. Wang Niu quickly regained his focus; he understood the child's intention and turned his attention to the Demon Child. He strengthened the Heavenly Emperor's Light and saw that the Demon Child was still glaring at him with an arrogant demeanor.
A slight smile appeared on Wang Niu's lips as he unleashed the Heavenly Emperor's Light. In an instant, another beam of light struck inside, causing the Demon Child to emit a deafening scream. Within moments, its body began to split in two, leaving Wang Niu astonished. The monsters fighting the child also noticed the commotion and turned their attention toward them.
Seeing this, Wang Niu issued a command to restrain the group of monsters. In an instant, they were under his control. Then he focused again on the Demon Child; he didn't want to miss such a great opportunity.
With another surge of power, it seemed that Wang Niu felt something shift and directly resolved the threat posed by the Demon Child. A tremendous sound exploded in his ears, and as a result, those monsters vanished.
In an instant, everything around them changed. Wang Niu was momentarily stunned as the ground began to shake violently beneath them. Suddenly, cracks appeared in the earth below their feet. The child reacted instantly and exclaimed to Wang Niu, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, we need to be careful!"
Then, the child took flight with Wang Niu. Just as they ascended into the air, the ground underwent a dramatic transformation; it split in half and turned into a massive chasm. Watching this change made Wang Niu shudder involuntarily; if they had been even slightly delayed, they would have been swallowed by the earth.
"Heavenly Emperor Uncle, what is happening?" The child looked at this scene with astonishment while confusion filled Wang Niu's heart.
At that moment, dark mists appeared before them. In an instant, these mists engulfed the entire land, plunging the world into chaos.
Terrified screams echoed in their ears while strange sounds came from afar. This left Wang Niu momentarily stunned. At that moment, all of those monsters trapped in the ground were pulled down as well; this was a fortunate turn of events for them. Taking a deep breath while observing this phenomenon, Wang Niu noticed that the child's expression had improved slightly. Looking at him, the child asked, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, does this mean those monsters will disappear for good?"
Wang Niu did not respond to the child, as he was uncertain himself. This uncertainty made Wang Niu feel increasingly anxious, and this state of affairs continued for a long time. It wasn't until night fell that the ground began to return to normal. At that moment, Wang Niu suddenly sensed something, and his expression changed dramatically.
"Not good," Wang Niu thought, filled with tension. The child looked at Wang Niu's expression and felt worried as well. He asked, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, did you think of something?"
Wang Niu nodded at the child and conveyed his thoughts, "If that's the case, your father and mother, along with the Queen of Heaven, will be taken underground."
Wang Niu was actually quite clear-headed about the situation. If that were true, they would end up in the Dark Kingdom.
The child froze for a moment, seemingly realizing something terrifying. He looked uncertainly at Wang Niu, who nodded in understanding. Wang Niu reassured him, "Don't worry; we will rescue them."
Upon hearing Wang Niu's words, the child felt relieved and nodded back, saying, "I understand, Heavenly Emperor Uncle. But where are we going to find them? The passage on the ground has already closed."
The child's words made Wang Niu's heart grow heavy again. He looked at the child and said, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, I’m really worried that those monsters will harm my mother and the others."
In truth, this was also a concern for Wang Niu. He replied to the child, "Rest assured; it shouldn’t happen."
However, after saying this, Wang Niu himself was not very certain. He didn't know if those creatures would deepen their hatred towards them because of their involvement.
The child and Wang Niu returned to the surface. At that moment, a series of bright lights began to emanate around Wang Niu. He recognized this as the light of reincarnation descending from above since his own cycle had recently ended. Taking a deep breath, Wang Niu suddenly felt something and said to the child, "We need to hurry back to the Underworld."
Seeing Wang Niu's anxious expression, the child seemed to understand something and replied, "Okay."
The two rushed toward the Underworld. On their way there, they noticed something strange; an unusual aura was emanating from both sides of the road.
"Heavenly Emperor Uncle, something feels off here," the child noticed immediately.
"Yes, I know. We need to be careful," Wang Niu cautioned as he watched the child closely.
The child said to Wang Niu, "It seems like there's still a trace of Ghostly Aura lingering here."
The child's words instantly tightened Wang Niu's heart, as if something deep within him had been stirred.
He squinted at the child and said, "There are places hidden that haven't been pulled back to the Dark Kingdom."
Upon hearing Wang Niu's words, the child immediately tensed up and replied, "I understand now, it's them."
As soon as the child finished speaking, several terrifying Demons emerged from the shadows. Wang Niu was momentarily stunned; these Demons resembled cockroaches.
"Uncle Heavenly Emperor, be careful! If these cockroaches catch you, it will be dangerous," the child warned Wang Niu. This made Wang Niu genuinely worried because he sensed that these cockroaches were anything but ordinary. They carried immense energy, and if things went wrong, they could potentially lead to mutual destruction.
Wang Niu pulled the child back and said, "Let's not act recklessly. These cockroaches have strong energy; we need to find their weaknesses first."
"I understand," the child replied.
Meanwhile, the cockroaches were fixated on them. Just then, a particularly large cockroach approached them.
"Creepy-crawly! You killed our Ghost King; now you must die!" it screeched.
The eerie cries of the cockroaches startled both Wang Niu and the child. The sounds were laced with a deep, sinister magic that made them tense up. Wang Niu quickly instructed the child, "Close your eyes!"
The child had no idea what was happening but followed Wang Niu's command and shut his eyes. In an instant, he seemed to sense something and opened his eyes again.
In that fleeting moment, he saw a sharp knife extending from the cockroach's hand. This sight terrified him, and he instinctively moved to shield Wang Niu. In an instant, a pool of Black Blood appeared on the child's back, staining him entirely red. His face turned pale as fear gripped him, while Wang Niu's expression also darkened. He quickly turned around to see a massive cockroach looming behind him.
Wang Niu's expression shifted to one of shock as he used Divine Power to staunch the bleeding on the child's back.
Gradually, color returned to the child's face. Wang Niu let out a deep sigh of relief. Just then, he sensed something and immediately lifted the child into the air. As they ascended, several large cockroaches charged toward their previous position. Instantly, that spot sank down into a deep pit they had seen earlier. Wang Niu felt a wave of anxiety wash over him.
He turned to the child and said, "Stay here safely; I will handle this."
Wang Niu landed on the ground, and immediately, several giant cockroaches surrounded him. In an instant, he felt an immense pressure weighing down on him.
Wang Niu took a deep breath and focused on dealing with the cockroaches. In a split second, they all surged towards him, and he sensed a great force rushing at him. At the same time, the cockroaches lunged at him. Wang Niu quickly responded, and two beams of light erupted from his body. This made him feel a wave of anxiety as he glanced at the cockroaches on either side of him and launched an attack directly at them. In an instant, the cockroaches were obliterated by his beams of light.
Surrounded by the corpses of the cockroaches, Wang Niu let out a sigh of relief. But just then, another tremor shook the ground beneath him. The earth began to quake, and as Wang Niu attempted to escape from the ground, he suddenly found himself caught in massive waves that seemed to wrap around him like claws, pulling him down. As he struggled to break free, he felt himself tightly bound beneath the surface. The moment the ground closed above him, darkness enveloped his vision, leaving Wang Niu feeling helpless.
Suddenly, his consciousness faded into oblivion, and soon after, he was completely unaware of his surroundings.
"What is this thing? Why does it look different from us?"
"I don't know; maybe it's some kind of monster."
"Quick! Call the Beast Guard to capture it!"
At that moment, Wang Niu seemed to hear strange voices and opened his eyes. However, when he did, he was stunned to find himself surrounded by monsters.
He stared at the creatures around him while they turned their gazes toward him as well.
Wang Niu quickly realized that he was in the Dark Kingdom. His heart raced with excitement. After a moment, he decided he wanted to leave this place. But before he could escape, the monsters suddenly went wild and pinned him down.
His heart sank as they captured him.
Fear gripped Wang Niu as he sensed that his powers were somehow ineffective here.
Could it be that his energy didn't work in the Dark Kingdom?
Wang Niu was taken aback by this realization; if that were true, he would be in grave danger.
Suddenly, a strange sound surged toward him. Wang Niu's heart skipped a beat as he saw more monsters approaching him. These creatures were different from the others; they wielded weapons and pointed them at him like soldiers ready for battle.
"What are you? How did you end up in the Dark Kingdom?" The Leader brandished a weapon at Wang Niu.
Wang Niu's heart raced as he shook his head at the leader, pretending to be mute.
The leader of the Haunted House narrowed his eyes in suspicion and exchanged glances with those beside him as if communicating something.
The nearby monsters seemed to understand and immediately seized Wang Niu.
They dragged him to a certain location where Wang Niu froze in shock; this place felt oddly familiar. Moreover, there were more monsters here than before, each dressed in ancient military attire.
So these monsters were Soldier Monsters.
Before Wang Niu could comprehend what was happening, a heavy whip struck his body. He couldn't help but scream out in pain as intense agony coursed through him. The pain quickly overwhelmed his entire being as more whips lashed against him.
Wang Niu collapsed onto the ground, motionless.
The monsters burst into laughter at his state. Looking at their mocking faces filled Wang Niu with rage; if only he could unleash his Divine Power, he would retaliate fiercely against them.
As Wang Niu lay there barely conscious, for some reason, his breath began to weaken.
At that moment, without warning, his body soared into the air. Wang Niu thought his Divine Power had returned but was startled when he saw a large pot of boiling water below him. Flames roared beneath it, causing genuine concern within him—were they planning to cook him alive?
Suddenly, flames erupted around him for no apparent reason, growing larger and engulfing him in fear.
In the next moment, Wang Niu felt a tremendous fire igniting on his body, the intense pain threatening to consume him entirely.
The monsters around him erupted in laughter, treating Wang Niu as if he were merely a toy. If he continued to burn like this, he would surely meet his end.
Just then, a figure appeared. This person extinguished the flames engulfing Wang Niu, and the surrounding demons were deeply frightened by this scene, staring in disbelief.
"It’s... it’s the princess!"
