“Stay in the car, lock the doors, and no matter what happens, don’t come out!” Jin Chengyan left the car keys in the vehicle. “If you get the chance, drive away.”
Jono was momentarily stunned. Was Jin Chengyan telling her to leave?
“You…” At that moment, she couldn’t process her thoughts; she couldn’t understand Jin Chengyan.
Just moments ago, he had pulled her out of the police station in a fit of anger over Ruan Shengyu, and now, when facing those people, he was willing to take it all upon himself!
Liu Mingzhang’s men had already gotten out of their cars, four from each vehicle. They were dressed like gangsters—ripped jeans, leather jackets, and their hair styled with who knows how much gel. Just looking at them made her feel uneasy.
Jono realized that these people were coming for her!
Because she stubbornly insisted on bringing Ruan Shengyu to the police station!
"My problems, I will solve them myself!" With that, Jono opened the car door and stepped out first.
Jin Chengyan grabbed Jono's arm and pulled her back into the car.
"Jono! Can you please not make me worry about you so much? Do you really think you can handle Liu Mingzhang all by yourself?"
"So you want me to just swallow my pride?" Jono retorted. Was she really supposed to let Liu Mingzhang ride on her neck?
No, Liu Mingzhang wasn't riding on Jin Chengyan's neck; he was riding on Jono's!
He was targeting Jono, testing how far Jin Chengyan would go for her!
But what he could do was limited!
Jono shook off Jin Chengyan's arm, got out of the car, and slammed the door shut.
Jin Chengyan frowned and immediately got out, walking around the front of the car to stand beside Jono, facing Liu Mingzhang and his ill-intentioned associates together.
The gangsters whistled at Jono, their eyes filled with various taunts.
Jono was already beautiful, and with her light makeup, the cold expression on her face made her even more stunning, captivating a crowd of men and stirring their blood.
Jin Chengyan had always hoped that Jono's beauty wouldn't attract unwanted attention, especially from these lowlifes. But now she was alone, without any real chance of winning against them!
To prevent Jono from being at a disadvantage, Jin Chengyan could only protect her behind him.
"Who are you people?" Jin Chengyan said coldly. In Qin Cheng, no one had dared to openly corner the Jin Family Young Master on such a desolate path before. What did they want?
The people from Qin Cheng naturally wouldn't dare to act; it was the newcomer who had just arrived in Qin Cheng that was responsible for this!
"Bring your boss out! Don't have the guts to act but lack the courage to admit it!" Jin Chengyan glared at one of the cars where someone remained inside, who looked particularly like Liu Mingzhang at first glance.
However, those gangsters ignored Jin Chengyan and instead stared unabashedly at Jono!
Jin Chengyan felt like he could gouge out their eyes. What were they looking at? Had they never seen a beautiful woman before?
He checked the time. How long did A-Shan need to mobilize?
Facing over twenty people, Jin Chengyan felt some pressure! He held Jono's hand and found it icy cold, possibly due to the weather or perhaps because she was frightened by the scene.
"Don't be afraid," he whispered to comfort her.
Jono glanced at Jin Chengyan, utterly confused by him. One moment he could be shouting at her, and the next he was offering her tender reassurance, protecting her behind him.
At that moment, the person who had been sitting in the car finally stepped out slowly. He put on a coat handed to him by a subordinate and held a handkerchief over his mouth, clearly not accustomed to being in such places.
With this person's appearance, the gangsters automatically parted to make way, respectfully calling him "Boss."
However, this person was not Liu Mingzhang.
Jin Chengyan frowned.
It was Ye Ling Tian.
Not long ago, a project in collaboration with an overseas group saw the Jin Family undoubtedly take the lead, snatching away the Ye Family's livelihood.
Perhaps the two families had long-standing grievances.
But where did Ye Ling Tian get these gangsters?

Ye Ling Tian shot a cold glance at Jin Chengyan. His icy face revealed no emotion, and his pale complexion seemed even more ghostly due to the cold weather!
Jono worried that if the wind picked up any more, this man might need to be rushed to the emergency room.
However, Ye Ling Tian paid little mind to such concerns. With a glance, his subordinates produced a contract. He glanced at it and said, "Sometimes I have to resort to special measures. You know that last time your Jin Family acted unjustly; now don’t blame me for being ruthless. Sign this, and today you and your wife can leave safely. Otherwise..."
Upon hearing Ye Ling Tian's words, the thugs surrounding Jin Chengyan and Jono had already drawn their knives, waving them menacingly, as if ready to strike at any moment.
Jin Chengyan sensed that Jono instinctively leaned closer to him.
In the face of life and death, Jono unconsciously chose to trust Jin Chengyan.
"Have you really fallen so low, Ye Family, that you need to resort to such tactics to secure a partnership?" Jin Chengyan scoffed coldly. He could only buy time, hoping A-Shan would arrive soon to help them out of this predicament.
"Don't try to provoke me with words. Since you've chosen this path, do you think I will show any mercy?" Ye Ling Tian waved his hand, and several thugs suddenly moved forward!
Each of them wielded a knife, and Jin Chengyan had no idea if they were armed with guns as well. If they attacked now, there would be no escape for either him or Jono!
"Ye Ling Tian! You know what will happen if you touch me!" Jin Chengyan shouted, pointing at Ye Ling Tian while shielding Jono behind him.
"I certainly do," Ye Ling Tian replied dismissively. "That's why I'll go after your wife!" With a command, the thugs brandished their knives threateningly at Jin Chengyan, the tips seemingly poised to pierce his heart!
"Don't touch him!" For reasons unknown, Jono suddenly shouted!
Her voice was sharp, and as she stepped forward, she pushed Jin Chengyan aside, exposing herself entirely to the blades.
"Jono!" By the time Jin Chengyan reacted, Jono had already been seized by the thugs and brought before Ye Ling Tian!
Jin Chengyan attempted to move toward her, but soon seven or eight men surrounded him, pressing their knives against his chin. He could feel the cold steel threateningly close; one more step forward and he would surely bleed.
Seeing Jin Chengyan in such a predicament made Jono's heart ache. Why had it come to this? Why was she more worried about his life than her own?
It was because… of love.
Jin Chengyan's heart was not untouched by the shock!
In that dangerous moment, before he could prepare for the next step, Jono had already rushed out, recklessly standing in front of him!
At that moment, there was a life-threatening danger; if anything went wrong, she would never see her brother again and would fail to fulfill her dreams!
Yet, she stepped forward and stood in front of him!
He watched helplessly as Jono was captured by those people, unable to fight back at all!

Jono turned her head away, freeing her chin from his grip!
"I advise you to know when to stop. You know whose territory Qin Cheng is on!" Jono said coldly. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jin Chengyan; he had a knife pressed against his chin. She was actually terrified—what if those people were reckless and hurt him?
"Then teach me how to know when to stop," Ye Ling Tian said, grabbing Jono's chin again with a force that belied his sickly appearance. Then he leaned in and kissed her lips!
Jin Chengyan felt as if his mind had exploded!
This Ye Ling Tian was utterly outrageous, shamelessly flirting with Jono right in front of him!
Did he think he was just a decoration?
"Ye Ling Tian, let Jono go! If you touch her again, I swear I'll make your whole family pay!" Jin Chengyan shouted, trying to break through the encirclement. However, those thugs mercilessly stabbed a knife into his arm!
Blood immediately gushed out!
"Ugh..." Jin Chengyan gritted his teeth against the pain in his arm, determined to rush over. How could he possibly stand by and watch Jono be defiled by that bastard Ye Ling Tian!
More punches and kicks rained down on him!
With Ye Ling Tian gripping his chin and his hands and feet restrained, Jono had no ability to fight back at all!
She heard the sounds of the struggle, or rather, it was Jin Chengyan being beaten alone!
Without a moment's hesitation, Jono bit down hard on the tongue that had slipped into her mouth!
Blood immediately filled both of their mouths, forcing Ye Ling Tian to release Jono. He grabbed her hair and leaned in close, almost pressing his face against hers.
"Baby, are you this violent in bed too?"
"Get lost!" Jono glared at Ye Ling Tian. Her hair was being pulled painfully, but she saw Jin Chengyan—he was being held back while trying to come to her rescue, blood streaming from his arm!

Ye Ling Tian actually listened to Jono's words and released her hair, stepping closer to Jin Chengyan.
He tossed the documents onto Jin Chengyan's body. "Jin Shao, today is just a little lesson for you. You've offended someone you shouldn't have! If Miss Ruan doesn't manage to get out of the police station within three days, your precious wife might just become someone else's plaything."
So it was Liu Mingzhang's arrangement!
"Boss, there's a car coming over there!" one of his subordinates rushed over to Ye Ling Tian and whispered.
Ye Ling Tian had achieved his goal for today. With a wave of his hand, those men released Jin Chengyan!
Blood was flowing from his arm, and he had multiple bruises on his body. He was barely holding on with the last of his strength, trying not to collapse!
A-Shan had arrived!
Moreover, along with A-Shan, another team had come, blocking Ye Ling Tian and his group's escape route!
Xiao Yuanshan's team!
On one side was a dark mass of vehicles, while on the other were cars blaring sirens, and even the Flying Tigers had been deployed!
A-Shan was the first to step out of the car. His men blocked one side, while Xiao Yuanshan's team emerged from the other, each holding standard-issue guns, aimed at the people trapped in the middle!
"Ye Ling Tian, have your people put down their weapons and cooperate with us! We suspect you are involved in a brawl. Please come with us to the police station!" Xiao Yuanshan announced through a loudspeaker on this one-way street.
Ye Ling Tian immediately raised both hands in response, saying, "Director Xiao, you might be misunderstanding. I was just passing by and saw Jin Family Young Master being bullied by these thugs. I couldn't stand by and did what I could to help! Who knew that Jin Family Young Master would leave without a bodyguard, giving these people an opportunity!"
Ye Ling Tian raised an eyebrow at Xiao Yuanshan.
With his own people arriving, Jin Chengyan took note and freed himself from their restraints. Even though they still had knives in hand, Jin Chengyan rushed over and pulled Jono from their grasp, pressing him tightly into his embrace!
"It's okay now!" Jin Chengyan whispered soothingly.
But the one who was clearly in trouble was Jin Chengyan.
"Your hand!" Jono exclaimed as he placed his hand on Jin Chengyan's arm, instantly staining it red!
The situation was quickly brought under control as Xiao Yuanshan's men apprehended the troublemaking thugs and loaded them into police cars, leaving only Ye Ling Tian behind! Then the police officers got into their vehicles while Xiao Yuanshan, who wasn't even in uniform, watched as Ye Ling Tian was surrounded by A-Shan's men!
The situation changed too quickly!
"Director Xiao, are you really turning a blind eye to this? Is that how you honor your badge?" Ye Ling Tian knew that A-Shan's people would come; he had already arranged an escape route. Who would have thought that even Xiao Yuanshan would show up?
Wasn't Xiao Yuanshan supposed to be with Yan Beiting?
At that moment, Xiao Yuanshan rubbed his nose, wearing an expression that said he saw nothing. He turned around and directed the police cars to back up, causing all the vehicles to turn their rear ends toward them and leave!
"It's five o'clock; I'm off work!" Turning back, Xiao Yuanshan pointed at his wristwatch and smiled innocently.
"But take it easy on Ye Ling Tian; he's known for being frail. I can't explain if he can't get up before reaching the police station!" Xiao Yuanshan casually instructed.
A-Shan and his crew saw their young master being wronged. If they just sent him to the police station like this, how could they resolve their anger?
"You guys are just bullying the weak with your numbers," Ye Ling Tian shrugged, not particularly bothered.
But who was it that was bullying the weak just now?
Jin Chengyan released Jono and raised his hand to touch her lips!
He had been touched by that person!
So, he needed to disinfect her!
After a deep gaze, Jin Chengyan leaned down and kissed her.
Jono still had a faint metallic taste of blood in her mouth. Jin Chengyan pried open Jono's lips and slid his tongue inside, swirling around hers while his tongue explored every inch of her mouth!
Jono felt a blankness in his mind!
There were so many people here, yet Jin Chengyan didn't care about anything, didn't consider anything, and just kissed him like that, even using his tongue!
But he was injured!
Yet he exerted force, using his uninjured hand to hold the back of her head, pressing her towards him.
It wasn't until her lips turned slightly red, and he felt that every inch of her mouth was clean, that he finally released her.
"You can only be mine."
Look at that, what a domineering declaration.
Jono was stunned, watching as Jin Chengyan revealed a cruel smile at the corner of his mouth before turning around. He returned the favor by personally taking action, beating Ye Ling Tian severely, worse than the injuries on his own body.
Then he said, "I just like to bully those who are fewer in number."
