"There is blood," the Mud Man said. I nodded. "I'm afraid time won't be long!" I added. 0

Fat Ma also looked down, and at that moment, under the light, it seemed to be glowing faintly. 0

"Blood? This cursed place has everything," he sighed, "except for any good treasures." 0

Just as Fat Ma finished speaking, as if in response to him, the windmill suddenly started turning again, startling us. 0

We turned to look, and the windmill spun faster and faster, water spilling out. 0

"Damn it!" I quickly ran back to shut off the Water Gate. When I arrived, I was taken aback; the Water Gate was broken! 0

I looked up at the Ghost Lantern hanging from the beam. "It needs to be extinguished," I shouted. 0

Without pausing, I ran to the stone door I had seen earlier and yelled, "Mud Man, explosives!" This was all according to plan. 0

As the Mud Man placed the explosives, the Ghost Lantern went out. A chill ran through me. 0

I raised my Submachine Gun, keeping a close watch on our surroundings. The water in the Stone Trough flowed down the slanted tomb passage. 0

"Step back," the Mud Man shouted. 0

Fat Ma and I immediately retreated. 0

With a sound of collapse followed by a loud bang, the stone door was blown open. We rushed in without looking back. 0

After running for a while, we didn't notice anything unusual. Could it be that the Ghost Lantern was just a fabrication? 0

But I didn't relax. After turning a corner, we finally stopped. 0

It seemed safe now; I leaned against the wall to rest. 0

When I looked up, I noticed that Fat Ma and the Mud Man had an unusual expression, their heads bowed while standing. 0

I said, "Why don't you squat down and rest?" 0

Fat Ma was about to squat down when he suddenly shouted, "What's wrong with my neck? I can't straighten it!" After a moment, the Mud Man reacted the same way. 0

I stood up in shock and shouted, "Turn around!" They complied and turned to face me. 0

I was nearly stunned; I saw that both of them had two lumps of black flesh growing from their necks, writhing and about the size of a fist. 0

"What happened?" Fat Ma asked anxiously. 0

I didn't know how to respond. Sweat was forming on my forehead as those lumps seemed alive, still moving. 0

The Mud Man didn't think much of it and reached back to touch the back of his head, but I quickly stopped him. 0

"Old Sun, just tell us! We can handle it!" the Mud Man insisted. 0

"You have a strange lump of flesh growing on your neck that moves. You both should avoid touching it." 0

Upon hearing this, Fat Ma exploded with anger. "Old Sun, get it off me now!" 0

The Mud Man sternly said, "Calm down, Fatty." At his words, Fat Ma quieted down considerably. 0

I asked Fat Ma to hand me the Searchlight. He quickly passed it to me. 0

When I shifted my gaze back to those two lumps of flesh, I noticed they were visibly growing at an alarming rate. 0

This situation was dire; I couldn't worry about anything else. I pulled out my dagger and said to Fat Ma, "Bear with the pain!" 0

Fat Ma understood what I was about to do and nodded his head while keeping it lowered. 0

As I grasped that lump of black flesh, the sensation intensified; it pushed against my hand. 0

I swung my knife, and black blood splattered across my face. The mass of flesh was severed, and I knew for certain that my blade had passed through it. 0

I wiped the black blood from my face, ready to speak, but before I could utter a word, I froze! 0

"Are you done yet?" Fat Ma asked. 0

The clay figure also noticed the situation; the knife had no effect at all. 0

Encouraged by the clay figure, I tried again, but it was still useless. I began to feel disheartened. I was genuinely afraid; if something happened to the two of them, I wouldn't know what to do. 0

"Use fire!" Fat Ma shouted at that moment. 0

His words jolted me awake. I pulled out my lighter from my pocket and brought it close to Fat Ma's mass of black flesh. Sure enough, the mass seemed to sense the heat and began to shrink slowly. Seeing it work encouraged me, and I turned the flame up to its maximum. The mass on Fat Ma started to shift position until it was forced away from him. 0

Once liberated, Fat Ma saw the mass trying to escape and fired his M11 Submachine Gun at it. A burst of black blood exploded, and we all hurriedly stepped back. To our surprise, the exploded mass was filled with hundreds of writhing black worms. 0

It was a sight that made one feel nauseous. 0

I focused intently on helping the clay figure get rid of that thing. When I looked down, those black worms were slowly making their way back toward the mass of flesh. 0

"Damn," Fat Ma cursed angrily. "How dare you ride on your Fat Master’s head? You’re asking for death." 0

The black mass was once again scattered by Fat Ma but began to coalesce right under our noses. It was too sinister. 0

Fat Ma, with his indomitable spirit, declared, "Today, I will definitely deal with you." He took out some disinfectant alcohol and poured it out. 0

Before I could stop him, he flicked his lighter, and flames erupted. The black worms crackled as they burned together, producing an eerie chorus of screams that sent chills down my spine. 0

It was only then that Fat Ma remembered. "Old Sun, what were you about to say to me?" 0

I didn’t respond immediately; after a moment, I said, "I wanted to clean your wound with alcohol; I'm afraid it might leave aftereffects." 0

Fat Ma slapped the back of his head hard. "How did I not think of that!" he lamented regretfully. 0

The clay figure calmly said, "I have!" 0

Fat Ma's previously gloomy expression instantly brightened as he praised the clay figure. 0

As I examined their wounds, I surprisingly discovered a small flesh spike embedded in them. 0

I informed them of the situation and explained that it needed to be completely removed. They had no objections. 0

I took out my dagger and carefully began to pry the flesh spike out. At first, black blood oozed out, and then I saw something that resembled a thick rubber band, dark and vein-like. 0

I pulled hard, and Fat Ma let out a scream akin to that of a slaughtered pig, warning me to be careful. 0

I replied, "Fat Ma, do you want to heal?" 0

Fat Ma had no choice but to remain silent. 0

The thing was quite slippery. With a strong tug, I finally managed to pull it out. Just as I sighed in relief, an astonishing scene unfolded—it quickly burrowed back into my skin, causing my flesh to feel weak against its assault as red blood began to flow out. 0

It nearly burrowed all the way in when I swiftly grabbed it with my hand and asked the clay figure for help. 0

Gritting my teeth, I forcefully slammed it onto the ground. The clay figure seized the opportunity and stepped on it. 0

Seeing this, I pushed the clay figure aside. It stumbled back a few steps, and damn, the creature was raising its head, clearly preparing to act. 0

I used my dagger to sever its body and followed up with several more strikes. It struggled a few times before finally coming to a stop. 0

The clay figure stood frozen in place, still shaken by the encounter. 0

Next came the treatment for the clay figure. This time, with experience on my side, there were no unexpected incidents. After squeezing out the black tainted blood and cleaning the wounds with alcohol, I wrapped them up simply. 0

Only then did I truly relax. Looking at the corpse of the creature on the ground, I found it strange how these ghastly things had appeared. 0

Suddenly, I recalled that 'Ghost Lantern' again. No way, I immediately dismissed that thought in my mind. 0

I couldn't help but glance back, my eyes narrowing sharply as if I had fallen into an ice cellar. Just a moment ago, a bloody figure had floated past me and vanished in an instant. 0

A lingering fear gripped me, making it hard to breathe. I gasped for air, as if I were suffocating. 0

"Are you okay, Old Sun?" the Mud Man asked. 0

I shook my head; it was probably just my imagination! I pressed down my racing heart and replied, "I'm fine!" 0

"What's wrong?" Fat Ma, who had been with me for so many years, noticed my unusual expression and sensed that I had something unsaid. 0

After a moment, I said, "Just now, a figure floated past behind you." 0

As soon as the words left my mouth, they immediately turned to look behind them. A cold breeze swept through, chilling us, but there was nothing there. 0

"Maybe I just saw it wrong!" I added. 0

"That can't be; there must be a reason," the Mud Man insisted. 0

"Let's be cautious," Fat Ma surprisingly said. 0

I felt uncertain inside, but I wholeheartedly agreed with Fat Ma's words. Ever since we entered this Tomb, there had been no peace. 0
