Before I could react, the Clay Man had accurately grabbed the snake by its vulnerable spot and slammed it onto the ground. He then took out a bandage from his backpack and wrapped it around Fat Ma's wrist. 0

"Fire, Old Sun," the Clay Man urged anxiously. 0

I pulled out my lighter from my pocket. The Clay Man passed the dagger through the flame, then made a cross incision on Fat Ma's palm, blood immediately seeping out. He took out a water bottle to clean the wound, then helped Fat Ma suck out the venomous blood. 0

After everything was done, Fat Ma stopped convulsing and fell into a deep sleep with his eyes tightly shut. 0

I touched Fat Ma's forehead; it was burning hot. I soaked a cloth in water and placed it on him. 0

Just when we thought Fat Ma was out of danger, suddenly his veins bulged, and something inside was thrashing about. I quickly pressed down on Fat Ma's vein to prevent whatever it was from moving further into his body. 0

To my surprise, that thing began pushing against my hand with considerable force. Sweat beads formed on my forehead as I tried to push it down. I pressed inch by inch, forcing whatever was inside Fat Ma's vein to retreat. 0

I exchanged glances with the Clay Man, knowing he understood my intent, which gave me some reassurance. 0

I couldn't afford to relax for even a moment; this was a matter of Fat Ma's life. With my thumb pressing on Fat Ma's vein, I finally pushed the object down to his wrist, where it was almost at the cross incision. 0

Taking a deep breath, I squeezed with all my might. A black object fell to the ground, immediately emitting a wail like that of a newborn baby. It then began to jump away in an attempt to escape. The Clay Man was quick; he plunged his knife into it, severing its body in two, yet it still wasn't dead and tried to flee in opposite directions. 0

"Use fire," I reminded him. 0

As flames engulfed its body, the baby's cries grew more piercing and chilling, sending shivers down our spines. Just then, the Clay Man withdrew his hand narrowly avoiding being bitten. He swiftly moved toward the other half of the creature. 0

Fat Ma's complexion gradually regained some color. I helped him tend to his wounds, and Hills mentioned she had a vaccine, giving Fat Ma an injection. After about five minutes, Fat Ma woke up. It seemed that the venom of the Gold and White Striped Snake wasn't too potent; the real threat was likely that black object. 0

I helped Fat Ma sit up. 0

"Old Sun..." 0

Suddenly, a strange woman's voice called my name. I immediately became alert. I glanced at Hills and then at Aran; it didn't seem to be either of them. There were no other women around besides these two. 0

"Old Sun..." the voice called again. 0

My heart tightened, but I replied heavily, "Who is it?" 0

"It's Fat Master! It's me, Old Sun." I looked down at Fat Ma, and indeed, that strange woman's voice was coming from him. Mud Man and I exchanged astonished glances at Fat Ma. 0

Fat Ma shouted at us, "What are you looking at? Are you ashamed of your own appearance compared to Fat Master's elegance?" 0

Hearing that bizarre woman's voice coming from Fat Ma's mouth, Mud Man and I couldn't hold back our laughter any longer. 0

" Fat Ma, look at you today!" Mud Man chuckled. 0

"What are you laughing at?" Fat Ma asked angrily. However, no matter how serious he tried to be, Mud Man and I couldn't stop laughing. 0

It seemed that Fat Ma still hadn't realized there was something wrong with his voice. I couldn't help but remind him, "Hey, your voice..." 0

"What’s wrong with my voice..." As soon as he finished speaking, Fat Ma panicked. "Damn! What happened, Old Sun?" 0

I laughed even louder with the Clay Man. 0

Fat Ma, seeing our glee, swung his fist towards us. 0

In the end, under Fat Ma's intimidation, the Clay Man and I surrendered, stifling our laughter. 0

Fat Ma exclaimed in anger, "The illustrious name of Fat Master is ruined!" 0

Hearing that, I almost burst out laughing again, but Fat Ma shot me a stern glare, and I struggled to hold it back. 0

Suddenly, I felt a heat in my chest, and without warning, a mouthful of fresh blood spewed out. 0

The smile on the Clay Man's face vanished immediately. Fat Ma said, "Looks like you’re getting your comeuppance, Old Sun." 0

I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth. 0

"Are you okay?" the Clay Man asked. 0

Just as I was about to respond, another spurt of blood erupted from my mouth. Fat Ma's expression froze for a moment before he hurried over to check on me. 0

The Clay Man placed his hand on my pulse to take my condition. 0

My throat felt itchy, and I thought it seemed to be getting worse. Blood nearly surged up to my throat again, but I forced it back down. 0

Fat Ma asked anxiously, "Clay Man, Old Sun, what’s going on?" 0

The clay figure shook its head. " Fat Ma " chimed in, "Old Sun, it can't be hopeless, right?" After saying this, he looked at me with a face full of sorrow. 0

I wanted to curse at this " Fat Ma," who was rambling again. 0

But the blood was stuck in my chest; as soon as I released that breath, it would burst out. 0

My expression was unusually grim. 0

To my surprise, "Xiao Nan" spoke up for me, saying, " Fat Ma, don't curse Brother Sun." 0

" Fat Ma " and "Xiao Nan" began bickering again. The strange sound of her voice made it hard for me to suppress a laugh. Frustrated, I spat out another mouthful of hot blood. 0

The clay figure quickly dodged aside. 0

At that moment, "Hills" also came over and pressed down on my wrist. His expression changed slightly. 0

After spitting out the blood, I felt much more comfortable. 0

"It's fine now," I said. 0

"Hills" frowned and replied, "After we get back, you should go to a big hospital for a full check-up!" 0

I nodded in agreement as "Hills" withdrew his hand. 0

After spitting out three mouthfuls of blood, I surprisingly felt much better mentally; it seemed like I could see things a bit more clearly now. 0

Fat Ma was getting anxious, grabbing Xiao Nan and giving him a good scolding. I intervened to stop Fat Ma. 0

Fat Ma wanted to speak but I cut him off. He looked at me with questioning eyes, asking why. 0

The clay figure glanced at me, seemingly waiting for my answer. 0

I stammered, "I'm afraid I won't be able to hold back my laughter." As soon as I said that, both the clay figure and I burst into uncontrollable laughter. 0

"Damn it, you two bastards," Fat Ma cursed in frustration. 0

By then, the clay figure and I had already started to run away, and after some commotion, we finally settled down. Fat Ma seemed to have learned his lesson and spoke less. 0

Hills pulled out that picture again at some point. 0

Fat Ma turned around and continued toward those niches. I followed him, knowing that Fat Ma never learned from his mistakes. I reminded him to be more cautious. 0

Fat Ma didn’t respond but snatched a drink from Xiao Nan, took a sip, pulled out a lighter, and ignited it. He sprayed some liquor on it, and a fire dragon shot into the niche. 0

Fat Ma quickly stepped back. After about a second, a Golden Mouse emerged from inside. Just as the fat guy was about to strike, another one quickly followed, and soon more Golden Mice began to tumble out of the niche in droves. There were more and more of them, and Fat Ma stood there in shock while I pulled him back. 0

I shouted, "Hills!" 0

Hills looked over at us, his expression changing. We quickly huddled into a corner. 0

The Golden Mice had taken over this roughly fifty-square-foot Golden House; astonishingly, there were so many hidden in just twenty or thirty niches. 0

Fat Ma knew he was in trouble, and his arrogance had clearly diminished. 0

At least hundreds of mice were swarming, a sight that made one’s heart feel heavy. 0

No more mice were spilling out from the niche, but the sound of their squeaking filled the air, a cacophony that made us cover our ears. The combined noise of hundreds of mice was not to be underestimated. 0

Aran crouched on the ground, preparing explosives. 0

Suddenly, another Gold and White Striped Snake slithered out from the niche. As soon as it appeared, the crowd of mice erupted like a pot boiling over, rushing into the tomb passage in a chaotic procession, moving as if they were marching. 0

Aran's hands came to a halt. 0

In just a few minutes, hundreds of Golden Mice vanished without a trace. 0

The Gold and White Striped Snake lay motionless on the ground. 0

This was damn strange; the snake was living among the mice. It seemed that the mice feared the snake, but how could they coexist like this? 0

The Gold and White Striped Snake rested on the ground, flicking its tongue. 0

"What kind of snake is this?" Fat Ma asked. 0

The Gold and White Striped Snake was about to chase after the Golden Mice when it heard Fat Ma's voice and surprisingly stopped, raising its head to face us. 0

I took a deep breath. A snake shouldn’t be too frightening, yet for some reason, I felt an inexplicable tension at that moment. 0

"Back off!" I whispered. 0

"Old Sun, what’s a little snake to be afraid of?" Fat Ma replied. 0

Suddenly, another voice echoed, "Old Sun, what’s a little snake to be afraid of?" I stared at the Fat Ma, seeing his innocent expression. 0

"Old Sun, what’s a little snake to be afraid of?" The voice repeated again, sending chills down my spine. 0

"It’s not me, Old Sun," Fat Ma explained. 0

"It’s not me, Old Sun." The voice echoed once more. 0

I turned my gaze to the Gold and White Striped Snake, which was raising its body and flicking its tongue. It repeated, "It’s not me, Old Sun." 0

I gasped; this snake could actually mimic Fat Ma's speech. 0

Fat Ma realized this and exclaimed, "Stupid snake, don’t copy me." 0

"Stupid snake, don’t copy me." The snake immediately echoed back. Its voice sounded remarkably similar to Fat Ma's at that moment, like an echo of him. 0

Fat Ma was furious and was about to step forward to deal with it. 0

I shouted, "Stop." 0

Fat Ma turned to look at me. "Old Sun, what’s wrong?" 0

“Old Sun, what's wrong?” it mimicked again. 0

Fat Ma's face turned the color of liver from anger as he muttered, “Damn it.” 0

I suddenly realized that this snake could only mimic Fat Ma's speech. Perhaps it was because Fat Ma had been bitten by a similar snake earlier, leading to this strange phenomenon. 0

“Old Sun, don't block my way.” 0

“No, this snake is different from the one before,” I said. 0

“What’s different? It’s just a bit bigger than the last one,” Fat Ma scoffed. 0

The clay figure also focused on the snake and then said, “It really is a bit different.” 0

“Don’t you two conspire to scare me; I, Fat Master, won’t fall for that,” Fat Ma said sharply. 0

“Don’t you two conspire to scare me; I, Fat Master, won’t fall for that,” the snake mimicked Fat Ma perfectly. After finishing, it happily flicked its tongue. 0
