Its black face was stained with blood, exuding a strong sense of Killing Intent. 0

When I grasped the rope, I felt its heavy weight. I held on tightly, not daring to slacken my grip for even a moment. The Zongzi before us seemed to possess immense strength, binding all five of us tightly. 0

With every movement it made, our steps wobbled slightly, causing the dust on the ground to scatter in alarm. 0

Fat Ma gritted his teeth and muttered, "This damn Zongzi is really something else!" 0

My heels throbbed faintly; an old injury had flared up again, and fresh blood marks appeared on my heels. Large beads of sweat formed on my forehead. 0

Looking at the others, their conditions didn't seem much better. The two Eerie Figures had turned pale, while the Mud Man had completely lost all color in his face. The strain was too great; all our movements were entirely controlled by the Zongzi, and it was exhausting. If this continued, we would all collapse here. 0

I said to the Mud Man, "We have to take care of this Zongzi." 0

As I spoke, not only did the Mud Man look at me, but the two Eerie Figures also turned their gazes in my direction. 0

The Mud Man shook his head at me. 0

"Why?" I couldn't help but ask. 0

At that moment, the situation was worsening. The Zongzi's violent aura erupted completely, pulling us forward. I released one hand and reached for a dagger at my waist. 0

Fat Ma's sharp eyes caught my movement, and without hesitation, he also drew a dagger from his waist. 0

"The corpse must not be damaged!" the Mud Man suddenly spoke up. 0

"What do you mean?" 0

I couldn't help but think of what Fat Ma had said about the Xiangxi corpse transportation; could the Mud Man be planning to raise a corpse? 0

"What do you want with a damaged corpse?" Fat Ma replied irritably. But at that moment, saying anything was risky. With a sudden 'whoosh,' Fat Ma's base lost its grip, and his feet slid toward Zongzi. "Ah!" Fat Ma exclaimed, quickly trying to loosen the reins, but the damn thing was wrapped around several times. He was nearly in tears from panic. Just as Fat Ma was rapidly approaching Zongzi, I hurriedly grabbed my dagger, enduring the pain from my earlier injury. When Fat Ma was only about ten centimeters away from Zongzi, I finally cut through the hemp rope. 0

Fat Ma lost his balance and fell to the ground, gasping for breath. 0

At that moment, the three Mud Men pulled hard on Zongzi from behind. 0

We had all witnessed the fate of the two dead people just moments ago. Fat Ma sat down heavily on the ground, filled with dread, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down. 0

About two seconds later, even the Mud Men couldn't hold on any longer. 0

Fat Ma took a sip of water and muttered under his breath, "Damn it, how dare you bully me? Just wait and see what I do to you." He strode forward with determination, taking three steps at a time. 0

The glint of the dagger flashed in the eyes of the Mud Man. 0

Just as Fat Ma was about to bring down his knife, the Mud Man suddenly relaxed and quickly grabbed Fat Ma's wrist, panting heavily. "The corpse must not be damaged," he said with an extremely grim expression. 0

Fat Ma was taken aback by this move from the Mud Man and immediately shouted angrily, "Mud Man, what the hell are you doing?" 0

"The corpse must not be damaged!" the Mud Man kept repeating that phrase. 0

"Damn it, this corpse is your ancestor!" Fat Ma shouted angrily. 0

"Be careful!" Fat Ma yelled again, then kicked the Mud Man. The Mud Man fell backward, and in that instant, Zongzi's withered claws tore through the Mud Man's clothing. 0

That was close! 0

Fat Ma quickly withdrew to the back. 0

Zongzi's frenzied movements produced a harsh, jarring sound that sent chills down my spine. 0

At that moment, only I and two Eerie Figures were holding onto the rope tightly, but it felt as if we were exerting no force at all, swaying around aimlessly. 0

I couldn't understand why the Mud Man kept repeating, "The corpse must not be damaged." 0

The Mud Man fell to the ground, dazed. By the time Zongzi approached, the Mud Man finally reacted and rolled backward a few times. 0

Capturing this Zongzi alive was proving to be incredibly difficult; it was practically impossible. Our strength would wane while this Zongzi seemed to possess endless energy. 0

It was too hard to handle. 0

Once the Mud Man and Fat Ma regained their grip on the rope, my pressure eased slightly. 0

But if this continues, the five of us won't last much longer. My hands were starting to ache from gripping the hemp rope, and it showed signs of fraying. 0

"Clayman, we have to deal with this Zongzi; capturing it alive is unrealistic." 0

"But..." 0

I felt a bit relieved at Clayman's words, but then I added, "This is a corpse, not a living person." In my dazed state, it seemed like I was beginning to grasp something. 0

Clayman's hand suddenly paused, and then he said, "I know." 0

"Damn it, what do you know?" Fat Ma pressed. 0

"Fatty, you can't talk to the leader like that," an Eerie Figure interjected suddenly. 0

Fat Ma, already fuming, retorted, "What’s wrong with saying that?" 0

Without hesitation, the Eerie Figure pulled out a handgun. In this tense situation, Fat Ma looked furious, and I feared he might provoke the man into pulling the trigger. Just as I was about to speak up, something surprising—or rather strange—happened: Fat Ma shamefully laughed. "Brothers, let’s talk this out; this isn’t a joke." 0

Seeing that the man didn’t react, Fat Ma continued, "I won’t mention your leader anymore; is that enough?" He chuckled again. 0

Looking at Fat Ma's grin, I understood a profound truth: a true hero must never suffer losses; even if one isn't a hero, they shouldn't be humiliated. 0

Only after hearing those words did the man put away his gun. 0

As soon as the gun was put away, Fat Ma's smile instantly vanished, and he cursed, "Damn it, Mud Man, what do you want with this corpse?" 0

The Eerie Figures were caught off guard and didn't react in time; the contrast of this fat guy's demeanor was too drastic! In a rush to defend their leader, they exclaimed, "That's our Old Sect Master!" 0

This statement hung heavily in the air. 0

At that moment, I finally understood everything. 0

Fat Ma seemed to grasp something as well. The Mud Man's expression shifted from serious to relaxed, as if he had been relieved of some burden. 0

Time felt like it had stopped at that instant. 0

However, Zongzi had no intention of giving us even a moment to breathe. In that split second, the rope snapped, and we stumbled backward a few steps. 0

"Not good!" Fat Ma shouted in panic. 0

"Let's run!" Fat Ma suggested again. 0

I had to admit that his suggestion was sound. 0

At this point, gathering our things and fleeing was the best option since we were no match for this Zongzi. Yet, deep down, I knew that the Mud Man would never retreat easily. 0
