"I can clearly see that we are not on the same path," Rain Master Luo said.
Song Qianqiu laughed heartily and continued, "Senior Sister Yu, although we are not on the same path, at least we can be friends. Back in the day, you saved Yang Hao from being thrown off a cliff by the Five Great Sect Leaders. It was I, Song Qianqiu, who risked my life to save you. I gave you the Yaochi Sacred Liquid and the Mountain Spirit I had painstakingly collected, even sacrificing my own life essence to pull you back from the Ghost Gate. Although I did receive some benefits from you, I have never thought of harming you. Now, you willingly follow Yang Hao and his group, gathering Mountain Spirit for a fickle man who abandons you without a word. Don't you have any thoughts about that?"
"My affairs are none of your concern," Rain Master Luo replied.
Song Qianqiu said, "Senior Sister Yu should consider helping me seize this Nation. At that time, you would be the Empress of the Central Plains. No matter what kind of man Yang Hao is, all will be within your grasp. Back then, Wu Ze could claim the throne and commanded respect; no one dared to defy him. Don't you want to reach the pinnacle?"
"I've already told you that we are not on the same path; our principles do not align. Farewell." Rain Master Luo turned to leave.
Song Qianqiu snorted and said, "What a waste of my words! Rain Master Luo, do you really think I will let you leave today?"
Rain Master Luo turned back with a fierce gaze and said, "Do you truly believe I cannot kill you?"
"Why not give it a try?" Song Qianqiu replied, glancing at Miao Shengnan behind her.
Miao Shengnan's pupils were pitch black, her eyes filled with murderous intent as she held her sword and advanced toward Rain Master Luo.
Rain Master Luo's expression turned cold. Seeing Miao Shengnan approach with her sword raised, she called out Miao Shengnan's name in her heart, but Miao Shengnan showed no sign of response. She swung her sword down toward Rain Master Luo.
Rain Master Luo deflected Miao Shengnan's sword with her wooden sword, pressing the tip against Miao Shengnan's throat. Miao Shengnan stepped forward, causing the tip to pierce her neck, black Ghostly Energy seeping from the wound. Rain Master Luo retreated slightly, bringing her sword tip to Miao Shengnan's heart.
Without hesitation, Miao Shengnan moved forward deliberately allowing Rain Master Luo's sword to pierce her heart. In that moment of hesitation from Rain Master Luo, Miao Shengnan thrust her sword toward her. Rain Master Luo managed to catch the blade with her fingers.
Miao Shengnan suddenly withdrew her long sword and transformed into countless phantoms using Phantom Layers. Hundreds of illusions surged toward Rain Master Luo from all directions. With a sigh, Rain Master Luo closed her eyes; she felt her long hair gently sway in the wind of the swords as cold light flashed by. She raised her wooden sword horizontally to block a strike from one of the phantoms.
Then she swept her sword across; Dao Fire blazed brightly on it as she cleaved Miao Shengnan in two. The Dao Fire consumed Miao Shengnan's body as it trembled and exuded death energy. Her expression showed slight pain just before being engulfed by the flames; the black light in her eyes faded away, revealing a hint of clarity.
Miao Shengnan looked at Song Qianqiu standing on the rooftop along with many experts behind her and then at Rain Master Luo standing alone in the glow of firelight. She hesitated to speak, fearing it might disturb Rain Master Luo's state of mind. In silence, she turned to ash.
Song Qianqiu clapped and said while applauding, "Truly worthy of being the first extraordinary woman, Rain Master Luo—heartless and ungrateful, killing her own master without batting an eye."
Anger ignited in the eyes of Rain Master Luo, and the air within dozens of feet around him became exceedingly strange. A Sword Momentum erupted from Rain Master Luo's body. Behind Song Qianqiu, the head of a Miaojiang Grand Shaman immediately slid off its neck. The moment Rain Master Luo raised his wooden sword, Song Qianqiu suddenly vanished.
Having witnessed Rain Master Luo condensing the lethal Sword Momentum multiple times, Song Qianqiu realized that the true One Sword Technique that could take a life was not something that could be unleashed at will. If every strike were a One Sword Technique, there would be no need for combat. He had repeatedly visualized the scenarios in his mind when facing Rain Master Luo; after all, Rain Master Luo was far too powerful, and even those from older generations dared not engage him in battle.
Song Qianqiu initially planned to have Miao Guanyin or the White-Robed Old Scholar block a fatal blow for him, then finish off Rain Master Luo, or unleash the Great Wilderness Scripture at the moment Rain Master Luo activated his Sword Momentum. However, when he saw that Rain Master Luo's state of mind was affected and that his Sword Momentum was pierced through with a single glance, he laughed and concealed himself alongside the White-Robed Old Scholar within the void.
The One Sword Technique missed its target, instantly turning several Miaojiang Grand Shamans behind Song Qianqiu into mush. Even though these Miaojiang Grand Shamans were experts in the Mahayana Realm during their lifetimes, they could now only recover about fifty percent of their strength, and some could only return to the Nascent Soul Realm, unable to withstand even a single strike from Rain Master Luo.
Song Qianqiu reappeared from the void and slashed at Rain Master Luo with a folding fan. The wooden sword in the bathroom flicked upward, and the folding fan flew back into Song Qianqiu's hand.
With a chuckle, Song Qianqiu was about to speak when Ke Yu Shi Luo struck again with his sword. The sword energy was fierce and incredibly fast. The White-Robed Old Scholar appeared before Song Qianqiu and formed hand seals to cast the Void Defense Technique. Song Qianqiu screamed in agony, having not seen where the sword energy came from; a deep gash cut through his back down to the bone, exposing his spine.
Cold sweat poured down Song Qianqiu's face as he activated the Blood Demon Technique to consume his blood essence for healing.
"Kill this bastard!" Song Qianqiu shouted. "Everyone attack together! Use your strongest killing moves to take this bastard down!"
As soon as he finished speaking, all Puppets surged forward. Meng Xuanjian soared through the air, hands rubbing together as he unleashed successive strikes with Void Blades. Countless Black Blades shot toward Rain Master Luo. The wooden sword of Rain Master Luo moved at incredible speed, enveloped in Dao Qi as it sliced through each Void Blade one by one. Then, with a sweeping strike, he unleashed unparalleled sword energy. Meng Xuanjian, who had been a Grand Elder of the Serpent Cult in life and was at the late stage of Mahayana Realm, despite not being at his peak after death, still retained eighty percent of his power due to long-term nurturing. His instinctive reaction was not weak; he crossed his arms to block Rain Master Luo's strike but was sent flying back into a courtyard wall.
The Sky Master recited Buddhist scriptures as black Sutras overflowed from him. He pressed a palm toward Rain Master Luo like a swarm of bees attacking. Rain Master Luo retreated while holding his Sword Body horizontally and immediately executed the Huanhua Sword Technique, shifting his form to traverse through the black Sutras and thrusting straight into the Heart of Haikong's residence.
The Sword Body stirred as Dao Fire erupted. Rain Master Luo withdrew his sword just as Dao Fire ignited within the Sky Master's Heart, quickly transforming him into a burning figure.
"Amitabha!" The Sky Master regained a moment of clarity before death; he saw what lay before him—Rain Master Luo standing alone against many foes. With hands clasped together, he drifted away in the raging flames.
Beside him, Song Qianqiu felt immense pain; they had barely begun and already lost two Puppet generals. The ground trembled as Ghost King lifted Song Qianqiu and leaped away. In an instant, countless giant branches sprouted within the courtyard, resembling swords aimed to pierce through Rain Master Luo's body.
Rain Master Luo hung upside down in mid-air as he stirred his wooden sword, instantly shredding all thorns into wood chips.
The Daoist Arts of Withered Wood Monk were forced upon him just as Rain Master Luo prepared to strike down Dead Tree with his sword when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his heart. He groaned softly and staggered backward while clutching his Heart.
Nearby, Withered Heart Monk's right hand was surrounded by Sutras; black Sutras crawled up his arm as Rain Master Luo stumbled back and spat out a mouthful of black blood.
"Having been struck by Master Ku Xin's Withered Heart, I wonder how you will survive?" Song Qianqiu laughed heartily. "The Goddess Rain Master Luo is nothing special!"
A powerful palm descended, the White-Robed Old Scholar's right sleeve hanging empty as his left hand pressed down. Rain Master Luo rolled aside, drawing her sword to slash at the White-Robed Old Scholar's palm. The scholar's hand emitted a cold light, instantly sending a gust of wind that repelled Rain Master Luo.
The large hand came crashing down, crushing the void and suppressing all directions. A beam of white light gathered as the hand formed, grasping Rain Master Luo tightly.
Blood trickled from the corner of Rain Master Luo's mouth. With her sword held before her, she slid two fingers along its blade, causing the wooden sword to tremble and create an afterimage.
"Withdraw!" Song Qianqiu sensed something amiss and immediately ordered the White-Robed Old Scholar to pull back.
The large hand retracted, and the sword light danced wildly. Thousands of sword energies shot out from Rain Master Luo, only to return to her body moments later. The White-Robed Old Scholar's arm bled; had it not been for Song Qianqiu's timely warning, his only arm would have been lost.
Although one could regenerate flesh and blood at the Supreme level, reattaching severed limbs or even reconstructing a body required considerable energy and vitality, not to mention potential side effects.
Among Song Qianqiu's Puppets, Miao Guanyin was the strongest in combat. However, when it came to importance, Song Qianqiu leaned more towards the White-Robed Old Scholar; these two were his right and left arms. Their existence was crucial before he ascended to Supreme status.
