The forest path was relatively wide, allowing the four of them to race through without any hindrance. 0

They had already reached Ultimate speed, and it seemed as though the cave behind them was trembling, the massive boulder that had blocked the entrance shattering into pieces in an instant. 0

Countless Straw Worms surged out of the cave, their green membranes shimmering with a green light. 0

It was like a soul-harvesting light, and even though they were all together, it felt terrifying. 0

The humans had also reached Ultimate speed; their endurance was significantly greater than that of ordinary people. 0

They arrived at the vehicle they had parked earlier and leaned against it, struggling to pull it out from its hiding place. 0

Freyr quickly jumped into the driver's seat and started the engine, turning back to say, "Open the lid of the Oil Drum and get ready to pour oil on the ground." 0

Indeed, even if the off-road vehicle was in Ultimate gear, it couldn't outrun these creatures. In fact, there were so many of these worms that it was hard to estimate their numbers. Unless they exterminated them completely, they risked attracting them into the town, where the residents could be endangered. 0

For this reason, although it wasted some diesel fuel, it proved to be quite helpful. 0

"Don't stop while driving along the way." 0

In fact, Freyr kept shouting as he drove; the engine roared to life, maintaining a moderate speed while the smell of diesel filled the air. 0

The shadows were completely unaware of the impending disaster. As they scattered Oil Drum, Relock had already cut open a White Phosphorus fork. The vehicle paused for a moment, and just as the swarm of Straw Worms drew near, a match of White Phosphorus was thrown fiercely. Suddenly, a Firewall erupted, forming a barrier that blocked the monsters' path. 0

But they shouldn't celebrate too soon; as long as those Straw Worms flew high enough, they wouldn't be affected by the flames. 0

In fact, they had underestimated their situation. Although that wall of fire bought them some time to regroup, it wouldn't be long before they would be pursued again. One side had flying advantages while the other was escaping in vehicles on the ground; clearly, the advantage lay with those large Wings. 0

Freyr frowned slightly and said, "Hmm, it's still not going to work. At this speed, we'll be caught up quickly. We need a simple method to make the car move on its own, and then use a basic explosive device to make it self-detonate after a while. That should take out quite a few bugs at once." 0

"Really? How do you plan to do that? It's a good idea, but none of us have done anything like that before. What about you, Ross?" Xiong Tai looked around eagerly and focused on Ross. 0

"Cough, don't look at me. When I was younger, I lived with beautiful women; I'm a romantic, so all the dirty work was done by them. What are you looking at me for? It's useless," Ross said as he lit a cigar. Given the situation they were in, he probably just wanted to enjoy the thrill of tobacco one last time before it was all over. 0

"Ah, right. That was a pointless question," Xiong Tai shook his head. 0

As for Relock, working as a bodyguard at Freyr's place, he had decent composure when it came to firearms. Strictly speaking, he could qualify as an average soldier, but he still carried an aura that didn't quite fit with military life. The essence of someone who had served often lingered even if they changed careers. Freyr glanced at him and shook his head helplessly; it didn't matter that he hadn't served in the military—having handled a gun and killed bugs was enough. 0

Having experienced bug killing once already, the second time would at least not make them tremble. 0

"Alright, I'll do it. Who's going to help me hold the steering wheel? Just like that," Freyr decided that while the suggestion was good, it was better to rely on himself in critical moments. 0

Relock stretched out his arm and stood up to hold the steering wheel while Xiong Tai reached around from behind to support his waist. 0

This position was too dangerous, but together they managed to steer the car back onto the right path. 0

Freyr took out tools from his backpack and created a simple automatic explosive device. 0

After wrapping the fuse several times, once the setup was complete, they each followed their pre-planned sequence to jump out of the car. 0

Once on the ground, they continued to assist others. 0

Freyr secured a stick on the gas pedal to keep the car moving forward and then opened the door to jump out sideways. 0

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Xiong Tai leaped forward and intercepted Freyr mid-air, and then both rolled into a nearby trench. 0

The two emerged from the black sludge, their bodies already covered in dark muck, looking utterly disheveled. 0

Digging through the black mud on its eyelids, a large swarm of Straw Worms hurriedly chased after the vehicle. 0

Not long after the vehicle was set up for deployment, it came to a stop, and a multitude of Straw Worms rushed toward it. 0

Their sharp jaws tore through the metal roof of the car, causing it to tremble slightly from the impact. Suddenly, a burst of flames erupted. 0

It was a combined bomb made from a Nuclear Landmine and a High-Explosive Grenade, along with other flammable and explosive materials placed in the vehicle. 0

Thus, the force of this explosion was quite substantial. 0

Flashes of fire lit up the sky, and the clustered Straw Worms immediately scattered in all directions, but the white, membrane-like Wings connecting their nervous systems quickly caught fire as well. 0

Clearly, such intense heat was enough to ensure that no creature could escape unscathed; the Wings were the first to be affected. 0

Large swathes of Straw Worm Wings ignited and fell to the ground. 0

Once they lost their ability to fly, even their straw-like mouths were twisted by the searing flames. 0

Screeches filled the air simultaneously. 0

The shockwave from the nearby explosion crushed a large number of worms, leaving no remnants behind. 0

Ross peeked out from behind some grass, awkwardly spitting out a mouthful of grass. 0

The vehicle was now unrecognizable, consumed by flames that continued to rage on, while nearby Straw Worms were caught in the aftermath of the attack. 0

Flapping their Wings in panic, they hovered in the air gasping for breath, dark green liquid continuously oozing from their mouths. 0

Mixed with chunks of putrid flesh, they appeared utterly disheveled. 0

The Straw Worms suffered severe internal injuries from the intense shockwave, and even if left alone, they would soon die. 0

Xiong Tai lowered his voice, his fists cracking as he exclaimed, "Collect them!" 0

The bodies of the exploded Straw Worms were of no use anymore, but those that hung limply in the air became prime targets. 0

Xiong Tai grabbed a rock and hurled it like a frisbee, knocking one of the Straw Worms down from the sky. 0

Below him, Relock wielded his knife and swiftly struck down on the head of a Straw Worm. 0

Freyr stepped forward slowly, picking and choosing suitable worm corpses to store in his ring. 0

After dealing with everything, it was already bright out. 0

The ground was littered with charred remains. Freyr picked up a shovel and dug several large pits to bury the bodies. 0

Three of the Bounty Missions were completed, and they had even brought back many reusable dirty items. 0

This batch of dirty items should be enough to save over ten injured poor people in need of assistance. Not to mention the Retina among them, which would still yield a profit when returned. 0
