The crowd nearby immediately sprang into action upon hearing this, but they felt that after running for a short while, a golden light seemed to flicker in a tunnel not far from them. Following that, a figure dashed back to the spot they had just vacated. 0

It was the Living Spirit that had emerged from the first coffin. However, this Living Spirit appeared somewhat melancholic as it paused by the rubble, where remnants of Life Force lingered. For this type of Living Spirit, these Life Forces were akin to an addictive gas. 0

Just like Cigarettes hold a significant place among humans, these forces were essential for their spirit, and they were highly addictive energy. If infected by Evil Aura, they could even become more ferocious. Yet this particular Living Spirit seemed remarkably calm, perhaps showing some improvement since its past state, possibly due to the absorption of blood leading to a change in appearance. 0

The energy from such life forces was evidently nourishing, allowing the Living Spirit to gradually evolve and grow increasingly terrifying and powerful. While hunters of the same level might still pose a challenge, they no longer seemed capable of delivering a heavy blow to it. 0

However, those on the other side remained oblivious to the changes that had already taken place. They continued to sprint madly, diving deeper into the tunnel ahead. 0

After running for a while, they realized they were genuinely struggling to keep going. It wasn't that they couldn't run; if they were on solid ground, running over ten kilometers would be no issue. But now their bodies felt overheated; it seemed that the air in the cave was insufficient. Even with their careful rationing of breaths, they found themselves lacking. 0

Such signs had never appeared on flat ground before. Once their bodies heated up, the arrival of Ultimate was imminent. The others leaned against the walls, gasping heavily. 0

"This really reminds me of my long-distance running days back in school. I rarely find myself out of breath now," Xiong Tai remarked immediately. 0

"We're running out of oxygen; even we can't handle it anymore. Let's put on our Oxygen Masks and move forward," someone suggested. Indeed, having the Oxygen Masks was crucial; otherwise, they would be in serious trouble. In low-oxygen environments, survival depended on who could adapt better, but intense physical activity would inevitably take its toll. 0

Despite being seasoned hunters accustomed to rigorous training—some even veterans from the military—surviving in low-oxygen conditions would still require some adaptation. 0

This realization didn't clarify much for them. After donning their Oxygen Masks, the weakness in their bodies was alleviated by the influx of oxygen. Their spirits lifted as their vision gradually cleared; the path ahead became visible. 0

"How much longer until we can get out? We should start thinking about how to escape; that thing will definitely revive. We can't stay like this," Mackey shouted. 0

"Well, I think the same, but I can't pinpoint where the exit is. For now, we just have to take it step by step. Fortunately, the terrain here isn't particularly complicated. As we move forward, we're bound to encounter different situations. As I always say, whatever we see, let's pretend we didn't see it and keep our heads down as we carefully move ahead," Ross continued to gesture. The others nodded in agreement. 0

They pressed on, but the terrain ahead suddenly became treacherous. None of them had anticipated such an urgent situation; the path narrowed significantly, forcing them to crouch down and crawl forward. 0

What surprised them even more was that the narrow area at the end of the passage suddenly opened up into a spacious expanse. They couldn't understand why the original designer had set it up this way. As they moved forward, they found themselves at a dead end with a trapdoor below them, and before they knew it, they fell straight down. 0

They plummeted for what felt like an eternity until they landed in a pool of water. When they lifted their heads from the water, they immediately noticed a rotating trapdoor above them. 0

Then they realized that if they could climb up the walls beside them, there might be a way out. However, to their astonishment, the walls were made of ice, and the inner surface was smooth. A thin layer of white mist hovered over the water's surface, giving off an odd feeling—strange but not toxic. The water itself was rich in fresh components, resembling distilled moisture. 0

What struck them as odd was that just below the trapdoor was something resembling a hornet's nest. The violent disturbance in the pool seemed to have stirred creatures within the nest. 0

They saw flying insects emitting blue light that resembled dragonflies; however, these were not any known species of dragonfly but rather an unfamiliar type of insect belonging to the insect family and appeared quite dense as they suddenly swarmed towards the movement beneath the water's surface. 0

Clearly startled by the commotion, these insects soon regrouped and flew back into their nest. 0

"That was close! The air here is quite fresh; I feel relieved enough to take off my mask," one of them said. Although the oxygen in their masks could barely supply their physical exertion needs, there was suspicion that this oxygen was artificially synthesized. Breathing in nearly pure oxygen could be quite burdensome on their bodies. 0

"Don't worry; the air here is really fresh," another chimed in as everyone quickly removed their oxygen masks. They settled down by some nearby rocks and began to carefully observe their surroundings. It soon dawned on them that this place was merely a site of incident; the trapdoor had been deliberately designed this way. If their previous assumptions were correct, even if they managed to return above ground, they would only confront a wall in confusion—never suspecting that there could be an escape route below. 0

"The exit must be around here somewhere. If we look for it, it probably won't be obvious. We need to eat something and think this through properly. If you were the engineers who built this place, where would you design the exit?" In reality, this area wasn't overly complex in design. Thankfully, there were no ominous coffins present; otherwise, they might have encountered serious problems. 0

Without coffins, there were no living spirits; those living spirits would certainly find it difficult to locate this place. Moreover, given that their scents had dissipated in that body of water, it effectively masked their presence and made it even less likely for anyone to find them. 0

He still felt a bit dazed as he regained his composure. After careful observation, they discovered a so-called commonality, one that echoed the previous findings. The sound propagation quickly rebounded off the walls, creating an existence similar to a Sonic Barrier. Even conversations could hardly mask the consequences brought about by whispered words. 0
