At that moment, a figure slowly emerged from the bottom of the pool, undeterred by the flowing water, as if the current was being kept at bay by its presence. 0

Over there, Phantom was charging forward at an incredible speed. The dangerous aura it exuded was immediately sensed by those nearby; even without turning around, several people could feel the oppressive force rapidly approaching. This intimidation was no joke, and soon they felt the imminent danger of Astonishing closing in. The water hissed as something sliced through it at high speed, creating a powerful impact that split the flow apart, embodying a force that could kill anyone who stood in its way. 0

The strangeness and terror of this entity were beyond description. They quickly submerged to the deepest part of the pool, where the skeletal faces on the Ritual platform surrounded them. Those who had been here before surely recognized that these skeletons were not ordinary; they had been trapped here beneath the water until their muscle cells disintegrated. Although their bodies had long since perished, their souls remained locked beneath the Ice Spirit Pool, their resentment palpable. Some of this resentment seemed to be miscommunicated through the skeletons, perhaps they did not want intruders to share their fate. However, it was clear that the temperature of the water in this pool had dropped significantly. 0

Even with a Natural Temperature Patch, they could still feel the sudden chill seeping into their bones. Yet, this temperature did not seem to affect the speed of the Living Spirit, which continued to charge straight toward them; it was estimated to be very close now. 0

Ross and the others then saw a figure suddenly dart into a gap in the Channel ahead. While they were still astonished by its design, they hurriedly swam over. Upon closer inspection in Close Combat, they realized this was a space just large enough for an adult to enter while hunched over. Seizing the opportunity, they adjusted their postures and squeezed through. 0

Once most of them had entered that gap, another situation arose: Xiong Tai's large frame was too cumbersome. Half of his body had made it through, but no matter how hard he tried, his backside remained stuck. This seemed to be the most vulnerable point; while his rear wasn't a critical target, that monster could easily smash through rock and might slice him in half along with his lower body. If that happened, Xiong Tai would undoubtedly be in serious trouble. 0

"Hey! You guys are really heartless! You want to leave me behind? Come back and help pull me in! My butt is stuck!" Xiong Tai shouted loudly. Fortunately, they were already in Catacomb territory and he didn't hold back with his cries. 0

"Damn it! Who told you to eat so much? Now what are we supposed to do? Should we just chop off your butt?" Ross yelled back angrily. 0

"My butt is well-maintained! Go ahead and chop it off if you want! I still need it to eat!" Xiong Tai retorted. "Quick! Widen this gap! If I put in some effort, I might make it through! Don't just stand there—pull my arm from inside!" 0

Xiong Tai's movements became increasingly frantic as his face turned a deeper shade of pale. 0

That thing was definitely getting closer to him; feeling embarrassed, he waved his hand awkwardly. The others nodded in agreement, sensing that threat drawing near. The earlier jokes were all in good fun; thankfully, Xiong Tai had let Nosty go in first—this frail guy's ability to hold his breath was far inferior to theirs and he was almost at Ultimate level. Thus, Xiong Tai had been quick to send him inside first; now it wasn’t just him at risk—if left outside, he would either be torn apart by that monster or drowned by the water. 0

The others rushed over immediately; some tried to brace the gap wider despite its original design limiting them. Others desperately pulled on Xiong Tai's arms while his legs flailed outside as if trying to help him squeeze through. He himself wasn't idle either—he was working hard to slim down his backside so he could push himself inside more easily. 0

The way they squeezed in was truly unexpected. However, Xiong Tai immediately shouted, "Hurry up and pull me! That thing is getting close!" As he said this, Xiong Tai exerted all his strength, causing the gap to loosen slightly as he pulled at it. His stomach had already been scraped raw, but in the icy water, that was nothing. Despite the discomfort, after one last push, he managed to fully dive in. 0

Once inside, he gasped for air, emerging from a deep sleep. Suddenly, bubbles erupted on the water's surface, and it seemed that the narrow crevice below was trembling slightly. It was unclear what the creature outside was doing; it was likely attacking the fissure, trying to force its way in. 0

Though it had grand ambitions, its size would be a significant obstacle. To enter through the crevice, it would need slender limbs or delicate muscles to fit through—qualities it clearly lacked. Instead of retreating, it focused on breaking through the fissure. Although the cost of damaging it would be high, it seemed determined to proceed. 0

As a rumbling sound grew closer, signs of collapse began to appear in the fissure. If they were to plunge into the pool now, death would be certain. The water had become a swirling vortex akin to a washing machine, filled with lethal energy; anything that entered would be automatically disintegrated. This was the unique ability of the Living Spirit. 0

"Ugh, this thing is really not human," Xiong Tai snapped back to reality and cursed. He then looked at the others and gestured, "What's wrong? Aren't you all here to get out? Now that there's a way, what are you hesitating for?" 0

At this moment, Xiong Tai seemed to be the only one remaining calm. Perhaps it was due to the pain from his scraped skin that he suddenly found clarity and was the first to react by moving forward. 0

The others quickly realized something as well. Initially, the light emanating from that gap had been incredibly strange and possessed a soul-chilling power. It truly was bizarre; however, those who understood this quickly reacted. It appeared that this barrier had indeed been conjured by the Living Spirit. 0

Once they recognized this fact, they turned and headed toward another passageway. 0
