Others seemed to understand what was being implied and nodded slightly. 0

However, even if it was just a suggestion, there was no need to act as if they were on the brink of war, with expressions filled with surprise. Once he processed the situation, he quickly nodded in acknowledgment. 0

"Our mission only has this one point that we need to be particularly cautious about. I've looked over the other tasks as well, and they don't seem to have much fluff. The truth will be revealed once we get there. For now, we need to check out our spoils from this time, pick out some weapons to arm ourselves. We can't afford any mistakes this time; everyone needs to have their own weapon." 0

At the mention of weapons, some people's eyes suddenly lit up. Above them were the Gene Tower and the Technology Building. Their goal was to obtain permission first, and given the current circumstances, the likelihood of getting that permission was relatively high. They only needed to select a few weapons, still within the purview of the administrator, Falcon. 0

After pondering for a while, Falcon emerged from his office after taking a brief rest. His expression was somewhat serious, and his steps were light, suggesting he had been secretly observing them before deciding when to make his entrance. 0

"Have you made your decision? I believe you can give me a clear answer now," Administrator Falcon said with a slight smile. 0

The others exchanged glances and nodded. Freyr spoke up, "Yes, we're ready. However, we would like to visit the Gene Pool upstairs first and select a few genetic abilities. Is that alright?" This caught Falcon off guard momentarily, but given the situation, such a thought was not surprising at all. He feigned an expression of shock and shrugged as if to say, "Why not go now?" 0

"Alright then, I'll grant your team access," Falcon replied, his fingers dancing over the keyboard with rapid clicks. The sound of the keyboard echoed in the room; his long fingers seemed more suited for playing piano than typing. 0

He glanced at the Virtual Screen that had been processing for a while before looking up and asking, "Are you heading to the Gene Tower or the Technology Building?" Although these two places were unrelated, hunters typically visited both; they would start from the top floor and work their way down, picking out valuable items along the way. 0

"Well, of course we want to see both; how could we only go to one place?" Freyr responded. 0

Falcon furrowed his brow slightly, his expression appearing amused as he muttered something like "a bit faster now" under his breath while rubbing his hands together. The light source from a nearby machine flickered yellow as he excitedly tore off a strip of code from above and said calmly, "Alright then, I knew it would be like this. You can head up now; just take what you choose and deduct it from your account. Do you need me to explain the rules up there?" 0

"No, that's not necessary. I'm much more familiar with those rules than you are," Freyr replied with a confident smile. 0

"Well, good luck then. The stairs are over there." The administrator, Falcon, said as he pointed to the other side and slowly sat down, sorting through a large pile of documents in his hands. There were quite a few data sources to process, which he usually buried himself in, but it was rare for someone to come by and give him a chance to take a break. 0

"Thank you," Freya said, giving a slight bow as she bid farewell. She held nothing but respect for him and no other thoughts. 0

She then led her team to the upper level of Wanderer's Home. With their current level, they couldn't go any higher; the second and third floors were accessible to them: Gene Tower and Technology Building. They had visited these two floors many times before, but for some of the newer members of the team, it was their first time seeing them. Upon arriving at Gene Tower, Freya had a plan in mind; this time she wanted to enhance everyone's genetic attributes. 0

Having attribute abilities would at least increase their chances of survival. For instance, Rubber Man could withstand minor impacts and was immune to part of a bullet's force. His body was like plastic, which also aided in movement. 0

Then there was Flame Body, Exhausted, and Feigning Death—attributes that were relatively common. Particularly Feigning Death; Freya had witnessed its effects last time and thought it might suit her well. 0

"Feigning Death!" The so-called Feigning Death was an ability that allowed one's body to exhibit characteristics of feigning death when physical strength approached Ultimate levels, while still allowing consciousness to remain active. Under this ability, the pain caused by bodily collapse became less perceptible. Moreover, with this enhancement, it seemed to increase their odds when confronting formidable enemies. 0

There was also a backup energy stamina bar that could provide power for movement. Although it sounded like the Feigning Death attribute wasn't overly powerful, it allowed life awareness to diminish to nothingness. This meant that others wouldn't know whether one was dead or alive; as long as one was alive, they could rise again through sheer willpower—like a moving corpse. 0

Just thinking about it felt eerie, but this tactic proved quite useful. She immediately decided to choose Feigning Death to enhance her abilities. Meanwhile, Nosty opted for the plastic body; the only weakness of this plastic form was that it couldn't stay in fiery environments for too long, or else it would create an oxygen-deprived situation for itself. 0

Next was Duan Shuai's desired attribute. He spotted an attribute with three eyes that seemed perfect for him; it was a potential exchange for President's third eye ability. The benefit it brought was doubled intelligence, allowing him to consider data more quickly during analysis and simplifying complex multiplication and division. 0

In no time at all, he decisively made up his mind about his choice. 0

"Have you decided?" Freya asked as she held the note in her hand. Once they entered that room, there would be a magical light to assist in their powerful transformation. 0

"Yes, I'm ready," Ross chimed in from the side. The others looked on with anticipation; they already seemed to possess their own attributes. Although Ross hadn't exchanged for any so-called attributes himself, he didn't lack them either and hoped to see how things would unfold later on. That left just him, Nosty, and Duan Shuai with their exchange issues remaining. 0

In fact, this wasn't much of a problem; all they had to do was step into that room. 0

However, only Duan Shuai and Nosty were unsure how to handle the current situation. Seeing this, Freyr smiled slightly and said, "What's so difficult about it? Just take this note and walk in, just like I did. Wait for me to come out before you go in." With that, Freyr stepped into the room, slowly entering before firmly closing the door behind him. 0

A flash of light flickered through the glass door, and soon after, Freyr emerged, drenched in sweat. The situation was exactly as they had seen; it all happened in an instant, and there was no sense of pain at all. 0
