The power was not diminished; rather, the strength of the Azure Skeleton was significantly greater than that of the previous White Skeleton. 0

Just by judging with the naked eye, one should already understand the difference in their capabilities. After realizing this, the two immediately stood back to back, pressing their backs against each other. 0

Although the number of Azure Skeletons was still astonishing, the lethality of the arrows remained powerful enough to eliminate two or so Azure Skeletons at once. Additionally, some Azure Skeletons were shattered by grenades. Overall, this wave posed much less of a threat compared to the earlier group of White Skeletons. 0

Freyr had only swung his weapon a couple of times, conserving a great deal of energy. The Spirit Fire of the Azure Skeleton Army turned around again; this rebirth would take a considerable amount of time. During this process, both could take a moment to rest, as it might not be so comfortable later on. 0

"Are you okay?" Freyr turned to ask. 0

"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about me," Ross replied, shaking his head to stay alert. 0

However, looking at him gripping the bow, his hands were already raw from continuous tension and relaxation of muscles, pushing him into an unprecedented state of fatigue. The number of arrows he had shot far exceeded that during his time as a hunter. Fortunately, during their brief respite, he quickly applied some anesthetic to soothe his palms where the skin had worn away and wrapped them with bandages. 0

This method merely aimed to minimize contact between his palms and the bowstring to reduce muscle strain. In fact, his other palm was relatively uninjured; he had also applied two bandages on key areas to lessen pressure points. 0

"Is that hand really okay? You might not even be able to hold a bow after this," Freyr said as he began tending to Ross's palm. Once done, they both sensed hostility emanating from all directions. 0

"Duan Shuai, are you alright? Can you stay awake? The team needs your help right now. Here, take this Sniper Rifle," Freyr urged as he noticed Duan Shuai's dazed expression. It seemed that after such stimulation, Duan Shuai's emotions had shifted, and his demeanor had grown cold. When someone teeters on the edge of losing control, there is often a latent period before they unleash unimaginable abilities once they do lose it. 0

"Huh!" 0

Duan Shuai took a deep breath; his gaze became unfocused. In the next moment, numerous weapons fell onto the battlefield—a devastating weapon comparable to cannon caliber and a Demon Commander Version Terminator. Of course, he couldn't wield both at once. 0

He didn’t even glance at the Sniper Rifle tossed his way nor did he respond; instead, he silently wrapped a large bundle of ammunition around his shoulder, revealing a significant portion of his abdominal muscles while gripping the Terminator weapon firmly in both hands. 0

He just needed to place the frighteningly long chain of bullets at the tip of the barrel, and there would be no problems, unless the gun misfired or the ammunition ran out, at which point the weapon would simply quiet down on its own. 0

In addition, there were two Man-Portable Missiles on the ground, along with a large pile of ammunition, including a dozen Grenades. This was quite an impressive stockpile, though it was certainly less than what he had when he first acquired it from the Weapon Store. 0

Seeing this, it was clear that a significant amount of their stock had been consumed in recent battles. This surprised him a bit; after all, they had been just two people back then, but now they were three. Ross's storage ring contained quite a few Cold Iron Arrowheads. 0

He probably had over a thousand Feather arrows stored up, so he wasn't worried about lacking weapons. His main concern was about their next opponent. Just then, the ground trembled slightly, and indeed, at that moment, the terrifying Skeleton Army reappeared. However, this time it felt different; this was clearly a squad formation with nearly nine skeletons. The eerie Spirit Fire flickered in their eye sockets. 0

These nine skeletons exhibited a very different demeanor compared to the previous army. Each one radiated an aura akin to a protective barrier. Upon seeing this scene, he sensed that things might take a turn for the worse. 0

Upon closer inspection, he realized that not all the skeletons emanated this aura; only two of them displayed a distinct red energy. Their presence was faint yet palpable, and their cohesion could not be overstated. 0

In fact, they could easily withstand ordinary bullets. The skeletons' exterior was blood-red; it was unclear whether they were dyed or if that was their natural color. The Spirit Fire within their eye sockets flickered with blue flames as they emitted chilling cries reminiscent of the Undead. 0

The sounds echoed like calls from spirits, intermingled with the cries of children. This place felt incredibly strange; it seemed many stories had unfolded here before. 0

If that were the case, these Undead must have some thoughts of their own—perhaps they sought to establish a connection with those who intruded upon them. What kind of connection that might be remained unknown; however, if they were seeking connection, why attack? 0

This left him puzzled, but pondering it further seemed futile. Now that they had all revived completely, their intent was clear: they wanted to eliminate the intruders before them. 0

This time, the red skeletons had many peculiar features; their heads were somewhat deformed, resembling grotesque skulls. Their spines were covered in jagged spikes that would surely inflict far more pain than being pricked by a file if one were to get caught by them. 0

Facing such monsters was already terrifying enough for one person; now he had to confront five at once. 0

Lost in thought, suddenly gunfire erupted as bullets rained down in rapid succession. The flames flickered at the muzzle before the nine skeletons swiftly split apart. The Demon Undead version of the Destroyer took aim and fired at one of them. 0

The movements of the skeleton were indeed more impressive in person than in reputation, as it wielded a longer bone to sweep and block the impact of the bullets with all its might. 0

Although it managed to deflect some of the bullets, several still slipped through the gaps. 0

The bullets collided against its body with a series of sharp sounds, echoing as they struck the bones. Some of the bones cracked under the relentless barrage, and the continuous force quickly escalated into a significant impact. 0

After enduring a flurry of gunfire, several joints of the skeleton shattered, and it collapsed under the dense hail of bullets. With no strength left to struggle, it gradually succumbed. Meanwhile, other skeletons nearby quickly regrouped and surrounded the area, attacking from both sides. They brandished their bone daggers, slicing down from above. 0

“Danger!” 0

Freyr dashed forward, raising his Dual Daggers to block the incoming attack. 0

Before he could finish his warning, a buzzing sound filled the air as another wave of thunderous gunfire erupted. The skeleton above exploded mid-air. Although the Destroyer's momentum had slowed somewhat, it still unleashed bullets at an astonishing rate—twenty rounds per second—making evasion impossible. In mid-air, the bullets shattered bones into fragments. 0

“Bang!” 0

Simultaneously, another deafening sound pierced through the air as a figure descended from above. Freyr braced himself against the onslaught below. Despite being attacked, he did not fall; instead, he held his ground in a fierce standoff. 0

Freyr showed no signs of fatigue; rather, a glimmer of excitement shone in his eyes as he fought back with renewed vigor. 0
