New Era of Humanity in the Apocalypse 0

There were still two Black Iron Skeletons remaining, their forms somewhat disillusioned, as if they had just crawled out from the scorching magma. Their bodies were searing hot, steam billowing out in waves, causing the ground beneath them to begin sinking under the intense heat. 0

Seeing this, they instinctively stepped back; the heat was indeed unusual. The surrounding area was gradually warming up, and the faces of the Black Iron Skeletons were slowly regaining their shape, but they appeared even more ferocious than before. 0

It was unclear whether this was a result of the flames, but their menacing visages offered no hint of comfort. Their bodies, having expanded from the heat, looked enormous, resembling Mechanical Gundams. However, there was nothing else amiss. 0

As the flames began to recede, the density of the steel had surely expanded from being burned, making it vulnerable internally due to the heat. Once the heat dissipated, Freyr charged forward with a swift leap. 0

“Feather Flow Slash” 0

The attack struck like lightning, propelled forward with incredible speed. The force of impact was such that even he could not halt his momentum. 0

The Black Iron Skeleton's reflexes were insufficient to respond in time. Amidst the rapid collision sounds, it staggered backward as a large dent formed in its chest. A flash of light pierced through the gap, followed by a loud crack as one of its legs was severed cleanly. 0

The Black Iron Skeleton seemed unaware at first; it looked down only to find itself suddenly off balance and crashing to the ground. As it attempted to rise again, it realized that everything below its knees had been cut off and could only stand on one leg, awkwardly hopping in place. 0

There was no other option; the rapid assault continued. At that moment, he felt a rush of warmth at his ear. A sharp arrow shot out ahead of him with a whoosh. The other Black Iron Skeleton, attempting to ambush Freyr, found itself swiftly outpaced. 0

However, that Alchemical Arrow struck true into its chest. The pure energy of Alchemical power surged forth, causing its chest to shatter layer by layer. Even steel would ultimately succumb to such relentless force. 0

In that moment of impact, the one-legged Black Iron Skeleton was hit squarely in the chest. Just as it raised its spear to stab at him, Freyr executed a retreating step and smoothly advanced forward again. The attack missed entirely, but his counterattack landed directly on its chest, knocking it over completely. 0

With that momentum, Freyr leaped once more, channeling all his strength into a decisive strike. 0

The attack, renowned as the "Feather Dragon Slayer," struck directly at the Black Iron Skeleton's skull. The force penetrated swiftly, pushing down through the bone and applying pressure, causing cracks to spread around it. In an instant, the skeleton's head was cleaved in two, leaving behind sharp gashes. 0

Such wounds were not easily inflicted by just anyone, yet here it was accomplished. At the same time, a chilling aura emanated from the skeleton's eye sockets. Although it dissipated almost immediately after forming, a powerful black mist surged around its body. 0

Meanwhile, the sound of bullets whizzed through the air like a barrage, slamming into the skeleton's form and creating deep craters across its body. The damage inflicted was purely from the bullets themselves. 0

Then, a sharp arrowhead sliced through the air barrier, piercing straight ahead. Two Feathers collided with the tail of another Feather, propelling forward with force and tearing off one of the skeleton's arms at the joint. 0

"Thud!" 0

The skeleton tilted its head slightly as it sat on the ground. Its back had been struck by a Phantom blade, forcing it down. At first glance, it seemed to be sitting casually, but in reality, its spine had suffered severe impact and collapsed under the strain. 0

Seizing this opportunity, another Feather shot forth, followed closely by four or five more Feathers that all launched simultaneously. 0

On another front, Duan Shuai’s fingers were stained with blood; his tendons and bones had clearly sustained wear and tear. This time he didn’t exert much effort as these Feathers flew out in unison, piercing into the chest area and causing significant wounds. 0

These were Cold Iron Arrowheads. The skeleton’s body was riddled with injuries as attacks continued to accumulate, and the cracks widened. One Feather embedded itself deep within the skeleton's eye socket, where Spirit Fire flickered within and began to drift outward. 0

It seemed that every time the skeleton’s form was severely damaged, this fire would escape and attempt to reshape itself anew. With each resurrection, that power grew stronger. 0

However, it was uncertain what form the next skeleton would take; it might even manifest as two. As each skeleton became more powerful, they would require even greater strength to penetrate their defenses. Now their bodies were becoming increasingly battered; if they could not recover their combat capabilities in time before the final wave of enemies arrived, they would likely suffer severe losses in the end. 0

Their physical strength was undoubtedly affected, and Freyr's peak power had dropped by at least four levels due to this exhaustion. Although he still seemed unaffected in terms of killing enemies, that was solely due to the influence of morale. From an offensive standpoint, he showed no signs of fear; the main concern was his stamina, which everyone else needed to pay attention to. 0

The group sat on the ground, and the impact of this situation was something none of them had anticipated. They had not expected that after such a long time, Duan Shuai's estimated duration of two to three hours would turn into four and a half hours according to the watch. No wonder there was still a lingering effect after such an extended period; four continuous hours of intense fighting had undoubtedly taken a tremendous toll on their bodies. 0

"I'm so tired. I wonder if we can hold out for the next wave of attacks," Freyr said emotionally, looking up to see a swirl of dark energy hovering above him. The pink sky was overshadowed by this ominous black mist, making their sitting position appear quite strange. There was no way for them to escape, and this entity likely had tracking capabilities; it would not rest until it eliminated any intruders who dared to enter this place. 0
