Time passed, and perhaps the insects were not in a hurry to launch their attack, displaying an attitude of indifference. 0

Gradually, the momentum began to build around the outskirts of the Mountainous Region. The barriers of the Mountainous Region were perilous. Without any assistance from others, the attacking forces continuously sought to circumvent the Mountainous Region. However, it was clear that the insects lacked such intelligence, and even humans could not guarantee their escape from the momentum within the Mountainous Region. 0

The barriers were not mere illusions; they were accompanied by extremely dangerous weather conditions—strong winds mixed with rain and snow, along with hurricanes and tornadoes swirling about. 0

At this moment, suddenly, the Zerg at the foot of the mountain came to a halt. Two rows parted to make way for a group of fiery red beetles that slowly emerged from the ranks, making their way toward the Tower below. 0

The Blazing Beetle frantically searched for opponents, roaring as it spewed forth fierce flames. The rain and snow in the Mountainous Region immediately weakened, forming steam that rose into the air. 0

Simultaneously, a massive figure appeared in the sky. Unexpectedly, alongside the super Danger Level beetles, a giant Dragonwing Insect flashed into view. To humans witnessing this sight, it resembled a divine dragon stretching for miles—a truly spectacular sight. 0

The Dragonwing Insect completely disregarded the harsh weather conditions but was still targeted by attacks. Unable to withstand the continuous bombardment from Gatling Guns and jumping Missiles, one Dragonwing Insect was overwhelmed and obliterated mid-air, its remains scattering like shredded meat. 0

Aircraft took to the skies, with pilots demonstrating sharp skills. At that moment, over a dozen planes worked together to take down one Dragonwing Insect. 0

However, a special figure stood directly in front of the mecha squadron. With arms integrated into a defensive shield, Freyr responded through his Pager: "Clear out other trapped individuals; I’ll handle this insect." 0

The other mechas wobbled and dispersed. Freyr appeared to be the oldest Gene Warrior among them. In his younger years, he had been an Ace Mecha Master—a title requiring high compatibility between pilot and machine—so few could master Battle Armor. 0

For over twenty years, he had been immersed in protective work within this world dominated by the Zerg. Living in such unfortunate circumstances on Earth, he had nearly given up on retirement opportunities to eradicate global disasters. Over these years, he had become a battlefield Commander, marking each conflict he led with significant victories. 0

Freyr shook his head and hesitated for a moment. Unlike others, he slowly descended above the Blazing Beetle and uttered a simple phrase. 0

"Now I will be your opponent!" 0

Upon hearing this voice, the Blazing Beetle turned its head and saw merely a middle-aged man of average size. Enraged, it let out an uncontrollable roar. 0

Simultaneously, its thick Giant Horn unleashed powerful spiraling Airflow that swept through. The Blazing Beetle was confident in its abilities; it had previously destroyed Noah's Sanctuary's defensive fortress with that very horn as if slicing through vegetables—effortlessly. 0

Freyr focused intently as he separated his hands; his left arm moved behind him to retrieve a High-Vibration Particle Cutter etched with patterns. 0

Upon closer inspection, this black broad blade was two feet long and resembled a scythe of death itself. 0

“Budou from Feather Slash!” 0

For Freyr, this set of sword techniques was all too familiar, having taken down countless heavyweight Zerg foes beneath its blade. 0

He raised the Black Iron Heavy Explosive Blade, his figure swiftly blurring as a shadow darted forward. 0

He brushed past the Giant Horn. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence would avoid colliding with such a weapon. Even at his current biological level, a direct hit might not kill him, but the injuries would be severe; he wasn't foolish enough to take that risk. 0

With immense force, the long blade struck, freezing his figure for an instant before slicing into the hard shell on the beetle's back. A resounding clang echoed as metal met metal, sending a jolt through his hands, leaving only a white mark on the crimson Exoskeleton. 0

Freyr quickly leaped back, the recoil almost forcing a cough from his throat. 0

The Blazing Beetle raised its mouth, exhaling a noxious breath tinged with the scent of Sulfur. The flames it emitted were dark red and surged to nearly two thousand degrees Celsius. 0

This high temperature could melt any metal. Although the refining process was unusual, he certainly wouldn't underestimate this extraordinary flame. 0

He hastily retreated, leaping into the air and darting back and forth. 0

“Damn it!” Freyr cursed, gripping the heavy explosive blade tightly as blood mist filled his eyes. “Bone Removal!” 0

For Freyr, his current speed still fell short of the Sonic Barrier. As long as he didn’t reach that threshold, he wouldn’t experience any discomfort. 0

On the contrary, he had already mastered controlling speeds that would terrify ordinary people—the speed of Ultimate. 0

“Just watch me strip away your Exoskeleton. You’ll need another ten years to beat me!” 0

Freyr swiftly descended but didn’t stop moving. He continued to dart around at high speed while expertly wielding his blade. Glimmers of light flashed around the Blazing Beetle as he attacked. 0

The Blazing Beetle struggled to adapt, and within seconds, its vibrant Subcutaneous Tissue was exposed to the air. Such flawless knife skills! The thick red Exoskeleton began to fall away in pieces. 0

“Hehehe, see you later!” 0

Freyr abruptly halted in mid-air, facing the Blazing Beetle. He held a long knife that emanated a slight chill, its terrifying murderous intent clinging to it. In a flash of dark light, he struck with incredible speed, and in an instant, the Blazing Beetle's body was cleaved in two. 0

"Die, you bastard! Now you know my strength, huh? This area is almost cleared; it's time to find a real opponent to spar with!" 0

Just then, a sudden scream echoed from the communication device. 0

He quickly glanced around and saw, a thousand meters ahead of the shelter, a grotesque mass of flesh with a humanoid figure towering above it. The sight was horrifying due to its sheer size. 0

In all his years of combat experience, he had never encountered such a monster. Despite his undefeated record in battle, a hint of melancholy surfaced in his heart. 0

Nevertheless, he observed that the area around the mass of flesh was still ablaze with artillery fire. Plasma Beam Cannons and Nuclear Reaction Split Sky Cannons were firing relentlessly, along with ineffective armor-piercing rounds that seemed to strike against an intangible barrier. 0

The pilots cursed angrily, trying to maintain at least some semblance of pride. What was this? Not being able to kill or even struggle was unacceptable; just this alone was enough to drain their energy reserves. 0

"Damn it! We can't hit him!" 0

"We've concentrated our fire and still got no response." 0

"Our energy is running low; we won't make it back to headquarters in time!" 0
