"Run!" Su Ruolan shouted, covering her head and face as she turned to dash outside.
Two giant wolves hurriedly followed behind her, and the group stumbled back to the bottom of the pit. Feeling that there was no movement behind them, they turned to look and were horrified to find countless Vampire Bats gathered at the cave entrance, flapping their wings and climbing up and down, yet unable to escape even a step, as if a transparent barrier blocked their way. Countless green pea-sized eyes emitted a faint red glow, floating like ignited ghost flames, sending chills down their spines; anyone with a fear of clusters would surely faint.
The group stood frozen in fear when suddenly Cheng Xi chuckled and said, "Sister Su, I didn't know you were afraid of these things too!"
Su Ruolan blushed slightly, gripping her hands tightly. "I've only seen these creatures in books before. It's a bit frightening to see so many all at once. By the way, are you all okay? Is there anywhere you feel unwell?"
The two giant wolves focused for a moment; aside from some minor bites at first, they had been well protected afterward. "We're fine, everything's good."

"Master, I'm going with you," Monet's voice echoed in Su Ruolan's mind. The rough male voice contrasted sharply with its tall and handsome wolf form, like a tough guy housing the soul of an awkward teenager. Monet likely realized this mismatch and usually kept silent unless necessary.
"Alright then, since everyone is so determined, let's go together." Su Ruolan saw their resolve and decided not to insist on her original plan anymore. "By the way, do you know what Vampire Bats are afraid of?"
"Given how dark their environment is, they must be afraid of light," Cheng Xi quickly replied.
"I just tried, but we only have one flare, and it won't last long," Su Ruolan said helplessly.
"Sister Su, with your strength, you should be able to sweep through them, but it seems you don't want to exterminate them," Kong Xiang asked in confusion.
"We've disturbed their lives; if it's not necessary, we should minimize casualties," Su Ruolan replied, watching the Vampire Bats jumping up and down at the cave entrance. Some of the Vampire Bats, realizing they couldn't break through the entrance, slowly retreated into the cave.
"Did you smell a pungent odor just now?" Kong Xiang suddenly recalled something and asked.
"Yes, it smelled a lot like disinfectant," Cheng Xi said.

The group arrived once again at the cave entrance. Looking into the deep cavern, with flickering red lights and countless Vampire Bats with fierce faces, mouths open in roars, and wings spread wide as if ready to attack, everyone steeled their nerves and gathered their courage to move forward.
"Charge!" Su Ruolan conjured an Ice Sword and was the first to rush into the cave. She wielded the Ice Sword with precision, protecting her vital areas. The Vampire Bats that leaped toward her were struck by the Ice Sword and fell to the ground.
Monet unleashed his Ability, creating a mini tornado that spun closely around him. Countless Vampire Bats that aimed for them were caught in the vortex, spinning several times before emerging disoriented, some colliding with each other and teetering in mid-air.
Su Ruolan raised her hand and threw out a large bag of something while shouting, "Monet, change the wind direction!"
Monet immediately summoned a gust of wind that blew into the cave.
No wonder Sister Su wanted everyone to cover their mouths and noses; the smell of chili powder was overwhelming and truly unbearable. Protected by his metallic suit, Cheng Xi walked calmly while occasionally using transformed metal pieces to knock out attacking Vampire Bats.
Su Ruolan continued running deeper into the cave following Reset's guidance. With the stimulation from the chili powder, the Vampire Bats were no longer aggressively approaching them, leaving a faint path for passage.
"Useless creatures! How dare you disturb my peace; you all deserve to die." Suddenly, a magnetic male voice echoed through the cave, so melodious it made one feel as if their ears could conceive. The accompanying sound waves resonated like a massive gong, shaking their very souls. Kong Xiang and Cheng Xi clutched their ears in pain as a few drops of blood trickled from their ear canals. A group of Vampire Bats screeched even louder before plummeting from the air, convulsing a few times before falling lifelessly.
An Elegant Young Man emerged from the darkness, his curly golden hair framing a handsome face with thick brows and large eyes. His pale complexion contrasted sharply with his crimson lips, and he wore a black tailcoat that perfectly accentuated his tall figure. The transformed Vampire Bat before them had at least reached Level Five Ability.
Upon seeing the Bat King appear, all the Vampire Bats obediently retreated to the sides, their expressions filled with reverence and awe.
Monet stood firmly, his lean limbs trembling slightly. If it weren't for the dignity of the Wolf Clan supporting him, he would have likely knelt in submission under the oppressive aura.
Su Ruolan's pupils constricted, her heart filled with frustration. This high-level mutated beast was beyond the combined strength of the three people and one wolf present. The Elegant Young Man didn't expect Su Ruolan to have any strength left to fight back. He released his grip on her neck and swiftly moved back a distance of ten feet.
The three people and one wolf quickly huddled together, their expressions wary as they looked at the Elegant Young Man.
"You lot, is bird blood not enough for you? Do you have to drink this sweet soy milk? It truly tarnishes the noble honor of the Vampire Bat family," he lightly reprimanded his subordinates. With a wave of his hand, all the Vampire Bats that had drunk Cheng Xi's and Monet's blood exploded into a shower of gore.
"What do you want to die like?" The Elegant Young Man said nonchalantly, as if a gentleman were asking what kind of candlelit dinner he wanted for the evening. As soon as he finished speaking, he was already in front of Su Ruolan, a massive palm descending like a mountain.
Facing this elegant brute, Su Ruolan knew she couldn't match his speed and could only resort to Tai Chi. She quickly dodged the wind from his palm while skillfully employing techniques such as Peng, Lu, Ji, An, Cai, and Elbow strikes from Tai Chi—using stillness to counter movement and softness to overcome hardness. By evading his attacks and borrowing strength from them, she surprisingly held her ground.
The Bat King halted his movements; all his lightning-fast attacks had been neutralized, leaving him quite astonished.
"Unaware of your own mortality." Provoked by her defiance, the Bat King grew furious. He transformed into his true form and dove toward Su Ruolan.
A gigantic Vampire Bat about a meter long swooped down with black wings spread wide like a scythe of death. Its crimson eyes were mesmerizingly terrifying, and its sharp fangs glistened as it glided toward her. The wind generated by its wings sliced through Su Ruolan's skin, leaving deep gashes.
As blood spilled forth, the scent drew in other Vampire Bats nearby; they were tempted and restless.
"Eh, how strange, this blood smells so good, I really want to drink it." The Bat King suddenly seemed irresistibly drawn, its expression turning frenzied as it desperately craved Su Ruolan's blood.
The frenzied Bat King moved at lightning speed. Before Su Ruolan could react, it pounced on her, wrapping its arms around her neck and biting into her vein, greedily drinking her blood.
A wave of dizziness from blood loss hit her instantly. At that moment, Su Ruolan felt as if her entire body was frozen, completely unable to move. This was bad; the Bat King's saliva was toxic. Was she going to die? There were still so many things left to do; she was so close to Runzhou. She couldn't give up—she absolutely couldn't die here! Suddenly, the Bat King appeared to be struck hard, falling away from Su Ruolan and clutching its throat as it rolled on the ground.

"Mommy, don't!" Suddenly, a soft voice echoed in Su Ruolan's mind.
The Ice Sword abruptly halted at the Bat King's throat.
"Baby, is that you? Where are you?" Su Ruolan looked around in surprise and excitement.
"Mommy, I have a strand of consciousness in this Bat King. Please don't kill it," the soft voice continued.
Su Ruolan looked down at the Bat King in surprise, and indeed, she saw a hint of maternal affection in its eyes.
"Of course, it's good. But what will you do in the future? Will you stay inside it forever?" Su Ruolan cautiously cradled the Bat King, locking eyes with it as they communicated through their minds.
The two and the giant wolf watched as Su Ruolan suddenly discarded the Ice Sword and picked up the Bat King, gazing at it with a loving expression. They all thought that Su Ruolan had been mentally controlled, and they grew increasingly anxious, feeling helpless and frantic.
"I've suppressed its soul because it's currently gravely injured. Mom, can you form a contract with it? Once it regains its human form, my soul will also be nourished, and I can return then," the baby pleaded.

In the white energy circle, three half Ankas lit up, raising her Healing Ability to mid-level four; in the green energy circle, three trees fully illuminated, with one tree's crown shining brightly, elevating her Wood Elemental Ability to early-level four; in the black energy circle, four water droplets completely lit up, advancing her Ice Element Ability to high-level four.
The glow of advancement quickly enveloped Monet as Reset fell silent.
Cheng Xi was left dumbfounded by all of this.
Although Kong Xiang could not see it, he deeply felt Su Ruolan's transformation and was filled with excitement and determination.
