In the Temporary Detention Center, Milu found herself trapped inside while Xu Qiubai and two Super Soldiers were interrogating her. 0

"You are not one of the Huaxia Army. What proof do you have of your identity? We have no record of you here, and you could very well be a spy," Xu Qiubai said, his pale face appearing eerie under the dim candlelight. 0

"You ugly thing, with your strange demeanor, how dare you interrogate me? I am from Jiang Commander's side. Let me go at once, or else when the higher-ups find out, you'll be in deep trouble," Milu shouted defiantly, showing no sign of being a prisoner. 0

Xu Qiubai was infuriated by Milu's words—"ugly" and "strange." He exchanged glances with the two Super Soldiers, who immediately began to beat Milu mercilessly. She wanted to scream but was horrified to find that no sound would come out. Her whole body ached terribly, yet there were no visible marks on her skin. 0

"I have no habit of sparing women. If this happens again, it won't end so easily. Think carefully," Xu Qiubai said darkly, his gaze fixed on Milu like a cold snake. 0

Milu, who had previously been oblivious to her situation, now felt a chill run down her spine. She couldn't help but harbor hatred towards that woman who had stolen her Black Gold Whip, leading to her current humiliation. Once she reclaimed her Black Gold Whip, she would ensure that these people faced experiments that would make them wish for death. Where was Peach Blossom? She wondered if she was off with some man; her grandfather shouldn't have saved her back then—she showed no gratitude. And Peng Bo, who claimed to love her, couldn't even take action against Dragon Jade and let him escape. Now that she was in trouble, he still hadn't come to her aid. Men were all the same—only good for fun and never trustworthy. At that moment, Milu was filled with hatred and blamed everyone around her. 0

Just then, the door swung open, and Peach Blossom walked in. 0

"Are you okay? I've come to rescue you," Peach Blossom said as she hurried to Milu's side. 0

"Why did it take you so long to get here? Sister, I was just beaten up; it hurts so much," Milu complained, tears welling up in her eyes despite having just blamed Peach Blossom moments ago. 0

"Alright, alright, it's okay now. I'm sorry for being late," Peach Blossom gently embraced Milu and patted her shoulder. "How did you end up here?" 0

"I was provoked; they thought I was part of the Huaxia Army. I got so angry that I killed someone and ended up getting captured. You know me; how could I be part of the Huaxia Army? Those poor fools are all ugly and should be sent off for contributions," Milu replied tearfully. 0

“Shh, keep your voice down. How can you be one of them? Didn’t Grandpa say we must keep this a secret? The antidote for the zombies cannot be revealed.” Peach Blossom raised her finger to her lips, signaling Milu to be quiet as she glanced around and listened intently. 0

“I—I understand now. I just got a bit angry. You know how I am; I can’t be provoked,” Milu realized she had spoken out of turn and quickly stuck out her tongue. 0

“I really don’t understand why Grandpa let you join this mission. I can handle being caught up in this mess alone, but you’re a princess. Isn’t it better to live a stable and prosperous life?” Peach Blossom sighed as she looked at Milu. 0

“Sister, you know I love beautiful things and admire heroes. With such a meaningful task that benefits humanity, why shouldn’t I participate? I begged Grandpa for a long time before he finally agreed,” Milu replied defiantly. 0

“Is capturing people for live experiments a good thing? They are human too, with families,” Peach Blossom pressed on, her tone growing more intense. 0

“In this great endeavor, someone has to make sacrifices. I only capture young women; sending them off is better than letting them fall into the hands of men and become playthings,” Milu retorted dismissively. 0

“We are women too; don’t you have any compassion?” Peach Blossom shot back, veins standing out on her hands. 0

“How can they compare to us? We come from noble backgrounds and have abilities; they are just poor commoners at best. By the way, Sister, I’m not you,” Milu argued confidently. 0

“So what if they are sent away? What will they discover? It can’t be without value,” Peach Blossom’s words struck deep within Milu, revealing her suppressed emotions. 0

“All I know is that they want me to pay attention to young women aged 0-6, especially those with abilities. Apparently, there’s something wrong with their blood. Sister, why do you keep asking about this? You never cared before,” Milu looked at Peach Blossom suspiciously. 0

“I—I’m just worried that you’re killing too many people and losing your virtue. Just hold on a little longer; I’ll talk to the Young Commander and try to get you out soon,” Peach Blossom reassured Milu. 0

“Sister, aren’t you here to take me away? You need to hurry. I can’t stay here any longer,” Milu grasped Peach Blossom’s hand, pleading earnestly. 0

Peach Blossom agreed and gracefully walked away. Milu looked around the empty room, suddenly feeling sad again. Ever since encountering that woman, he had been plagued with misfortune—beaten, forced to flee in embarrassment, and now he was locked up again. He missed his grandfather terribly; when would he be able to go home? 0

Peach Blossom reached a secluded spot and suddenly swayed, her mind going blank for a moment. Her eyes became hazy, and it took her a while to regain her senses. She pressed her right hand against her forehead, wondering what was wrong—was she just too tired? 0

Inside the tent, Zhang Yu sat on a stool, gazing at Peach Blossom standing across from him with a puzzled expression. "Is the antidote for zombies related to the blood of young girls?" 0

Milu explained, "It's like this. My grandfather dotes on her, so if he asked her to do this, he must have discovered something." 0

Peach Blossom asserted, "Young Commander, could you please release my cousin? She's just a bit willful; her heart isn't bad." 0

Zhang Yu replied, "If I let her go without any measures, how can I explain it to the families of the soldiers she killed? Instead, how about this: you have her apologize to the families of the soldiers and comfort them. Do you understand what I mean?" His peach blossom eyes focused intently on Peach Blossom, giving off a deeply affectionate vibe. 0

"I understand. Thank you, Young Commander." Peach Blossom looked at Zhang Yu with gratitude. This was a true man—young and handsome, holding a high position of power while treating women with such respect and consideration. Why wasn't he the first person she encountered? Was it possible that he liked her too? The thought made her blush unexpectedly, and she hurriedly walked away as if trying to escape. 0
