In that dimly lit room, among the dust of the Zombies, behind the seemingly decorative doors that refused to open, lay a bizarre cluster of buildings—a place that only she could see, hidden from others. Why had she been reborn there? What had caused this catastrophe for humanity?
"Reset, tell me everything you know," Su Ruolan asked, filled with doubt. This mysterious entity that had appeared in her rebirth space was her soul's contractor, her best friend, her partner, her family.
"Ruo Lan, my knowledge is limited as well. There were some things I didn't tell you before because you were simply too weak. Although you're still not strong now, since you want to know the truth, I can only share everything I know. I come from another planet, and it’s not just me; all humans on Earth are descendants of Ram Planet. There was turmoil on Ram Planet long ago, and the entire mother planet faced destruction. To prevent the extinction of our species, interstellar migration was initiated. During our journey to various habitable planets, we left behind some seeds and dropped off a portion of civilians and the Royal Family on Earth—these became the first generation of Earthlings. Afterward, humans on Earth began to reproduce and overcome various challenges, evolving different civilizations. However, environmental destruction worsened and internal conflicts continued. We are the last hope to prevent racial extinction. Your thirty generations ago ancestor married a descendant of the Ram Planet Royal Family, so although your bloodline is weak, it can still activate the rebirth system at the time of extinction and unlock my seal," Reset revealed calmly.
Su Ruolan was stunned. Was this a tale from a fantasy? Earthlings were not originally from Earth? They were descendants of aliens? She had blood ties to the Ram Royal Family? "Then what about Wei? Why hasn’t she inherited this bloodline?"
"She has inherited more from her father's side. After so many generations of transmission, the bloodline power has become very weak. You are also benefiting from your son's influence," Reset replied dismissively.
"What does all this have to do with our current situation?" Su Ruolan couldn't understand the connection between these extraterrestrial visitors and the present circumstances on Earth.
"I can't say for sure right now; you should return to where you were reborn and see if you can find new clues," Reset suggested after some contemplation. "Lately, you must remain calm. Haven't you noticed that your emotions have already affected Kong Xiang, Cheng Xi, and Bat King?"
Su Ruolan took a deep breath; she realized she had indeed been too anxious lately and needed to regain her composure.
This information was overwhelming; she needed a moment of silence.
Looking at Wei, who lay unconscious, Su Ruolan finally made up her mind. No matter what her identity was or whether she came from Earth or Ram Planet, she was a mother first and foremost. The most important thing now was to save Wei.
Fortunately, she still had one contract slot available from her previous upgrade. With great effort, Su Ruolan managed to awaken Wei and signed a contract with her. Wei knew Su Ruolan was her mother and trusted her completely without any resistance; thus, the contract went smoothly. Almost immediately after the contract was successfully established, Wei fell back into unconsciousness.
Su Ruolan placed Wei into Zero Space for proper care and attention.
After Su Ruolan stabilized her emotions, Kong Xiang, Cheng Xi, and Bat King gradually regained their calm.
Cheng Xi couldn't help but ask, "Kong Xiang, what exactly did you see that caused you so much pain?"
Kong Xiang looked bewildered; he had no recollection of the vision he had seen earlier. Su Ruolan urged Cheng Xi not to press further, suggesting that it might have been too horrific for Kong Xiang, who had instinctively sealed away that memory.
