Jiang Zhilin watched Dai Yuanyuan leave, his expression complex. His feelings for this woman, who had given him so much help, were intricate. Without her, he would never have achieved his current status. He remembered their first meeting when he was still an unknown figure. Although Dai Guozheng held him in high regard, he felt that there was no real investment in his development until Dai Yuanyuan took notice of him at a banquet and became enamored. Jiang Zhilin's thoughts drifted back to the world-shocking Battle of Huiyang. That war changed not only the fates of thousands but also marked a turning point in human development. At first, Jiang Zhilin was eager to eliminate the Zombies, leading the most elite troops assigned to him by Dai Guozheng. In truth, he did not understand military strategy very well; with a military advisor present, he thought it would merely be a chance to gain fame and prestige, creating momentum for marrying Dai Yuanyuan. Who would have thought that he would be injured by stray bullets and surrounded by Zombies? Just when he despaired that his life was over, the bloodline of Ram Planet awakened within him, granting him abilities and restoring some memories. As he ruthlessly eliminated a Zombie he despised, he helplessly discovered that behind it were several ordinary people. His secret could not be revealed; thus, he cruelly killed those civilians. To cover up his crime and prevent any future reckoning, he was uncertain whether anyone else had witnessed it or if there were special ways for these people to communicate information. In that moment, he felt it better to wrongfully kill a thousand than to let one escape; thus, he issued the horrific order to massacre the city. Yes, all who witnessed it died, countless innocent lives were lost, and the blood flowing through that city could fill a lake; the stench of blood could be smelled from miles away.
In such times, people only saw how many Zombies were exterminated but did not perceive the tragic truth behind it. Jiang Zhilin became famous overnight, truly stepping onto the path of success over mountains of corpses and rivers of blood.
Realizing that such actions brought him immense reputation and power, Jiang Zhilin became somewhat intoxicated with it and quickly indulged in forbidden pleasures with Dai Yuanyuan without restraint. As his abilities grew stronger, he felt both joy and anxiety; his actions became increasingly reckless as he eliminated rivals.
Hearing about a grassroots organization called the Huaxia Army rising unexpectedly and gaining significant public support—especially since its development model resembled his own—Jiang Zhilin feared that they might grow strong enough to replace him. Using his power, he sought to suppress them thoroughly and even targeted the newly established faction known as Squad. Squad was too eager for quick results and fame; as a result, they brutally murdered the wife of a Senior General of the Huaxia Army. After that incident, memories from his past began to resurface frequently, intertwining with his present and exhausting him mentally. More terrifyingly, his abilities began to degrade; this truly alarmed him. He had reaped countless benefits from the strength of his abilities and could not imagine what losing them would mean. From his inherited memories, he learned that their genes had issues that could only be remedied through reconstruction—and the key lay with the sole heir of the Royal Family from Ram Planet who had come to Earth.
