"Do you know me?" Jiang Zhilin asked, suspicion clouding his mind as he worried it might be a trick by Su Ruolan. He struck without mercy.
Meanwhile, the memories flooding back to Su Ruolan made her gaze linger on the familiar face before her. Could it really be this person who ordered the death of her past self? Was this the one responsible for all her suffering in both lives? But wasn't he the teacher she had regarded as a father figure in her previous life?
"Teacher!" Su Ruolan couldn't help but whisper, overwhelmed with emotion. At last, she had found him.
In that moment of distraction, her attack faltered.
Jiang Zhilin seemed oblivious to her hesitation and lunged toward Su Ruolan's forehead.

It was Kong Xiang, the quiet companion who had always been by her side, indispensable and family to her. Su Ruolan stood frozen in shock.
Jiang Zhilin's expression remained impassive as he prepared to strike Su Ruolan again. However, just as his fist was about to connect, it halted inches from her face. He clutched his head and cried out in pain.
Seizing the opportunity, Su Ruolan knocked him unconscious and stored him away in her space.
Her heart was in turmoil; her companion had been killed by her mentor, who was also the executioner of her past life and now a sworn enemy in this life. What should she do? Su Ruolan felt lost in this chaotic situation.
