In an instant, everyone turned their gaze to each other's eyes. Indeed, some individuals had a line encircling their pupils, but for most, the lines were black and could hardly be noticed without a careful look. However, thanks to Zhang Fusheng's prompt, many began to identify such people. 0

Zhang Fusheng continued, "After two months of research, the Academy has finally discovered the patterns of this virus. Have you ever wondered why the Zombie Virus suddenly erupted globally, yet some people turned into Zombies while others remained unaffected?" 0

The crowd was puzzled. Many recalled waking up to find the world around them transformed into a Zombie-infested landscape. But where did these Zombies come from? How did the Zombie Virus spread? 0

"Exactly! This is our shared confusion. Through the Academy's research, we found that some individuals are born with antibodies. This means that when the virus outbreak occurs, these individuals do not turn into Zombies. We refer to this stage of the virus as G Virus. Subsequently, countless people infected by Zombies—those who were bitten or scratched—will turn into Zombies; this is common knowledge." 0

"However! Just as some can resist the G Virus, there are others who, even if bitten or scratched by a Zombie, will not become one. Like Wang Chao on stage, like myself, and like those with lines beside their pupils. We call this stage of the virus T Virus, and these individuals are born with T Virus antibodies!" 0

Zhang Fusheng's words detonated in people's hearts like a nuclear bomb. Someone exclaimed, "Quick! Check if I have antibodies!" Another said, "Then why should I fear Zombies? It's just like catching a cold; some catch it easily while others don't..." Yet another spoke calmly, "Are you stupid? Even if you have antibodies, if surrounded by ten Zombies, they'll tear you apart!" 0

"Exactly!" Zhang Fusheng shouted again. "Some may have antibodies while others do not, but you need not be excited or disappointed. Even those with antibodies cannot survive against hundreds of Zombies; at that point, you'll simply become meat. However, if you are only bitten by one Zombie, it won't have any effect." 0

"But this innate antibody cannot be made into a vaccine. Experimental results show that every antibody-less individual vaccinated will turn into a Zombie!" Zhang Fusheng continued. "For those with antibodies, this is a gift bestowed upon you by heaven! The path of human evolution begins here!" 0

"You may wonder why your line colors are black while Wang Chao's is brass and mine is gem-colored; therein lies the issue. The stronger a person's abilities are, the more their line color changes. Both Wang Chao and I have been infected by the T Virus; however, the T Virus in our bodies has not harmed us but rather helped us evolve." 0

Zhang Fusheng stated, "I was present when Wang Chao transformed into what they call a 'monster.' If everyone could become a 'monster' like Wang Chao, would we still fear Zombies? If he truly is a 'monster,' why does he still possess consciousness and emotions? All of this indicates that the principles of evolution have been unlocked!" 0

"Perhaps you don't quite believe me. Well then, next up, please welcome Academician Wang from the Academy." Zhang Fusheng announced. 0

As soon as he finished speaking, an elderly man with graying hair and thick glasses approached from afar. The crowd recognized him as an Academician from Huaxia Imperial Capital Academy. Accompanying him was someone they didn't know well, but Wang Chao certainly recognized him—it was Dean Yang, Yang Mengying's father. 0

Academician Wang stepped onto the stage, adjusting his glasses, and spoke in a slow yet firm tone, "This research, which began with the outbreak of the Zombie Virus, has finally reached a conclusion this morning. As a scientific researcher, I assure you all that this is the truth." 0

After a pause, Dean Wang continued, "At the same time, the Academy has decided to inject a small amount of T Virus into every individual with T Virus antibodies to promote human evolution. Of course, this is entirely voluntary. If you do not trust us or are unwilling to receive the injection, we will not force anyone. To prove the validity of science, I will be the first to undergo this test myself." 0

As he spoke, a soldier pushed a bound Zombie onto the stage, its mouth sealed and limbs tied. 0

Academician Wang said, "Please look into my eyes." 0

The crowd turned their gaze to him; indeed, there was a black line encircling his pupils. He approached the Zombie without hesitation and removed the device sealing its mouth. The Zombie immediately let out a howl, but Academician Wang seemed oblivious to it as he placed his arm in front of the Zombie's mouth. 0

The Zombie wasted no time and bit down on Academician Wang's arm. A loud crunch echoed through the air, and in an instant, all the soldiers had their guns ready to fire at any moment should Academician Wang turn into a Zombie. However, Academician Wang acted as if nothing had happened; he resealed the Zombie's mouth and sat down on the ground. 0

He closed his eyes as silence enveloped the crowd. Time ticked by slowly; half an hour passed without a sound from anyone. Suddenly, Academician Wang stirred while sitting on the ground, startling everyone—some soldiers nearly pulled their triggers. 0

At that moment, Academician Wang opened his eyes and stood up. The crowd looked on in astonishment; the black line around his pupils had vanished, replaced by a Brass hue similar to that of Wang Chao's. However, unlike Wang Chao's complete encirclement, it only extended around one-third of his pupil. 0

"Now you should believe," Academician Wang said calmly. "As Zhang Fusheng mentioned, colors vary according to strength. Our research has found that these colors include Brass, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. We have not yet studied whether there are other colors beyond these; theoretically, there should be one more level." 0

"Moreover, each color is divided into upper, middle, and lower tiers of strength. For instance, I represent the weakest tier; Wang Chao has a full encirclement indicating he has reached Brass Upper Level. As for Zhang Fusheng, he is already at Diamond Lower Level. If one can reach Diamond Upper Level, they would have reached humanity's limit!" At that moment, everyone turned their gaze toward Zhang Fusheng; his light blue lines resembled those of a clear sky. 0

Old Zhang sighed softly from below the stage and murmured to himself, "An era has begun." 0
