After bidding farewell to Zhang Fusheng, Wang Chao arrived at the warehouse. Thanks to his relationship with Zhang Fusheng, Wang Chao had managed to obtain a military rank. While he might not command many troops, at least he could freely enter and exit the warehouse. After being promoted to Silver rank, the size of his Spatial Ring had also increased. It was essential to stock up on food, and then there were items like cigarettes and alcohol, as well as medicine and gold. Fortunately, these supplies were plentiful in the capital; otherwise, Wang Chao feared he might empty the entire city. 0

Once he filled his Spatial Ring with supplies, Wang Chao couldn't help but marvel at its usefulness. Items stored within it wouldn't spoil, eliminating any time constraints, and it took up no physical space—he just needed to wear it on his finger. This ring had been given to him by a girl named Xiaocao. Whenever he recalled their meeting, he found it hard to believe; who exactly was she? 0

The next morning, after saying goodbye to Old Zhang, Wang Chao reflected on how he would not be alive today without him. He felt deeply indebted to the Zhang family for their kindness. Old Zhang looked at Wang Chao meaningfully, as if wanting to say something, but after a long pause, he merely waved his hand. 0

Leaving Old Zhang behind, Wang Chao requested a transport plane from Zhang Fusheng. One by one, everyone boarded the aircraft. The temporary members of this squad included Wang Chao, the Shen sisters, Yang Mengying, Wu Wan'er, Yiyi, and Xiao Wei. Wang Chao felt a bit of a headache; among them, only he and Shen Zhiying had real combat capabilities. Shen Zhitao and Xiao Wei could serve as alarms in case of danger, but the remaining three had no practical experience and could easily become liabilities. 0

Nevertheless, Wang Chao agreed to their request. After all, in this world, one must rely on oneself for protection; he couldn't guard them for a lifetime. While he pondered this, Shen Zhiying had already taken off in the plane. The roar of the engines snapped Wang Chao back to reality. It seemed that Shen Zhiying was exceptionally skilled with machinery; having her around was like adding wings to a tiger. Otherwise, they would have had to drive forward, which would likely lead to traffic jams. 0

"Captain, where are we headed?" Shen Zhitao asked from the co-pilot seat. 0

The "captain" she referred to was naturally Wang Chao. He was not only the strongest among them but also the only man present. This made Wang Chao feel somewhat awkward; would he really have to discuss private matters with Xiao Wei, that young boy? 0

"Let's go to Yucheng," Wang Chao said without hesitation. "Since humans can indeed evolve, people from the Bioterrorism Security Department—like Tang Feng and Da Qiang—should also have antibodies against the T Virus. I didn't observe closely before, but if I could be infected by the virus without any issues, then they should be able to as well. Perhaps they have already evolved. In any case, we need to check out Yucheng..." 0

Yucheng. 0

Tang Feng shook his wrist, causing all the blood on his Tang Dao to fall away until the blade gleamed white again as if it had never been stained. He looked down at the countless corpses of zombies beneath him and leaned against the counter with his eyes closed. Tang Feng could no longer remember when he had woken up; all he knew was that when he regained consciousness, he still possessed awareness. 0

Everyone around him had vanished—Wang Chao, Shen Zhitao, Da Qiang—he didn't even see their bodies. For nearly a month now, he had been searching for them without any trace. In desperation, Tang Feng returned to this neighborhood only to be surprised by the appearance of a large wolf over a meter long with pure white fur and fiery red legs. 0

Tang Feng recognized this wolf; it was the one that Wang Chao had adopted in Erlong Mountain. However, this wolf was wild and difficult to train. Since Tang Feng arrived in the neighborhood, it seemed to harbor some grudge against him and had continuously targeted him for several days. The wolf's strength was formidable; even at Silver rank, Tang Feng found himself at a disadvantage compared to it. 0

The strength of the wild wolf was evident, forcing Tang Feng to hide within these walls. The moment he showed himself, the wolf would relentlessly pursue him. After taking a few bites of bread, Tang Feng carefully tucked it into his clothing. Through the window, he gazed at the ground blanketed in white snow, quietly observing when suddenly, he drew out his Tang Dao with swift precision. 0

At that moment, the iron security door was blasted inward. Tang Feng stepped forward, swinging his Tang Dao downwards. The door split in two, rushing past him—one half embedded into the wall while the other shattered a window and landed on the snow below, crushing several zombies beneath it. Immediately after, a white figure charged in—the wild wolf. 0

Tang Feng stood firm, turning to deliver a strike at the wolf. The wolf extended its sharp claws, which were as deadly as his exquisite blade. It lunged forward, and as Tang Feng stepped back with his sword raised, the wolf seemed to dance along the edge of the blade, closing the distance in just a few steps. With its jaws wide open, it aimed to bite him. The small room made it impossible for either of them to fully unleash their abilities. 0

Seeing this, Tang Feng executed a backflip and leaped through the broken window—this was the tenth floor! The wolf followed suit, jumping out after him. In mid-air, Tang Feng swung his sword; the sharp blade pierced into the wall, nearly shattering his grip. He dared not let go, hoping to lure the wolf down while he flipped over to the ninth floor. 0

However, the wolf was not fooled. It appeared to run along the wall and pounced on Tang Feng like a tiger hunting its prey. If it landed its attack, there would be no chance for Tang Feng to escape. In a hurry, he released his grip; the wolf missed its target but both fell toward the ground below. With Tang Feng's strength, falling from the tenth floor would certainly injure him but not severely; yet after sustaining injuries, how could he possibly contend with the wolf? 0

Thoughts raced through Tang Feng's mind, but in reality, everything unfolded in an instant. Within seconds, both he and the wolf hit the ground. He rolled upon impact, but felt a sharp crack in his shoulder—he knew something was either broken or fractured. Meanwhile, the wolf landed on all fours and surprisingly remained unscathed thanks to its padded feet. 0

Without his Tang Dao, Tang Feng could no longer be considered himself! 0

Before he could react further, the wolf charged at him once more. This time, how could injured Tang Feng evade? 0
