The three of them did not pause for a moment, moving swiftly along the wall and using the machinery as cover. The distance they had seen earlier, where Zhuang Peng had shot an arrow, was at least a kilometer away. They dared not be careless. Fortunately, they managed to navigate their way to where the helicopter was parked. Once they boarded, Wang Chao finally felt a sense of relief. "No matter how strong Zhuang Peng is, I will kill him!" he declared. 0

Shen Zhiying nodded in agreement, while Tang Feng remained unaware of the earlier conversation in the factory. However, seeing Wang Chao's furious expression and resolute words, he chose to remain silent and simply gazed out the window. It wasn't hard to understand why Wang Chao was so angry; those people from Yucheng were ones he and the Bioterrorism Security Department had risked their lives to save. Yet now, Da Qiang, Ouyang En, and Lei Father and Son were still missing. 0

Some of the survivors had not died at the hands of zombies but rather at the hands of humans, which only fueled Wang Chao's anger further. 0

"Among those people, Zhuang Peng's strength is unquestionable," Shen Zhiying said. "But that big man is also worth noting. Although he only has Brass Mid-Tier strength, I can tell by his demeanor that he has military experience—he's likely a mercenary type. If it comes to killing techniques, he might even be better than you." She glanced at Wang Chao and continued, "The man missing an arm doesn't seem unusual at first glance, but I have a feeling his strength is considerable. As for that small guy, he's not much of a threat... And those women? They seem like mere tools for venting." 0

Wang Chao nodded thoughtfully before responding, "You're right. Given Zhuang Peng's character, he wouldn't keep anyone around who isn't useful. Even that small guy might have some other specialty—maybe he makes arrows? Of course, that's just my guess, but it's likely true. As for those women... well, you might be right about them being tools. However, Shui Yun'er has Silver Lower-Tier capabilities." 0

"Exactly," Shen Zhiying replied. "Taking her hostage back then was a poor choice; after all, her strength matches ours. If she had resisted, we wouldn't have been able to hold her..." 0

Wang Chao interjected, "I had two considerations in mind. First, while she is strong, I didn't think she would be my match—I still have some confidence there. Second, if I had taken one of the other two women hostage instead, Zhuang Peng might not have cared about their lives and would have shot arrows at us without hesitation. Shui Yun'er was someone we encountered back in the small town; she must be important to Zhuang Peng..." 0

Shen Zhiying was surprised that Wang Chao could consider so many factors in such a short time. It wasn't surprising though; despite his usual carefree demeanor, Wang Chao had never faltered in critical moments. His experiences in the orphanage had honed his intelligence and emotional awareness; otherwise, why would so many people follow him? Why had he naturally become their leader? 0

Once she understood this aspect of him, it made perfect sense. 0

"We've found their hideout; they will definitely come looking for us soon. Plus, our helicopter is too conspicuous and easy to spot." After a moment of thought, Wang Chao continued, "In the future, we should avoid using the helicopter as much as possible. Zhuang Peng's arrow could probably pierce it directly." 0

Shen Zhiying replied, "This helicopter can fly up to three thousand meters high; if we ascend to two thousand meters, he won't be able to reach us with his shots. However, since our purpose here is to find people, we'll need to fly at lower altitudes of several hundred meters." 0

Wang Chao nodded and said, "Exactly. This helicopter is our lifeline; if we encounter powerful zombies or face another large-scale zombie siege, it’s our only means of escape... So when we return, let's hide the helicopter in a place that's hard to find and look for some cars that can still run. From now on when searching for people, we shouldn't use the helicopter." 0

According to Wang Chao, Shen Zhiying parked the helicopter in a concealed location, not far from where everyone was hiding and close to the previous neighborhood. Then, the three of them began searching for a functioning car. While Wang Chao was looking in the underground garage, he suddenly heard Tang Feng shout, "Over here! There are some writings left by Da Qiang!" 0

Hearing Tang Feng's words filled Wang Chao with joy. The fact that there were writings here meant that Da Qiang was at least alive! Instantly, Da Qiang's honest face appeared in Wang Chao's mind—his silly smile, his simple words, his willingness to go hungry just to share food with others, and his reckless determination to protect those he cared about. It all played out like a movie in Wang Chao's mind. 0

"Where?" Wang Chao asked as he ran. 0

"Right here." Tang Feng pointed with his hand. Following Tang Feng's gesture, Wang Chao saw blood-written words on the wall. He leaned closer to read: "When I woke up, there was nothing around me—no living people, no zombies. I... have been chased by evolved monsters here. If anyone sees this message, please be careful. I saved a little girl; she is not from Yucheng. I am heading to the southern city, Jing City. I don't know if you are still alive; I hope you are—Da Qiang." 0

"It really is Da Qiang's writing!" Wang Chao exclaimed. 0

There was no doubt that this message was clearly meant for Wang Chao and the others. Although they didn't know what kind of evolved monsters Da Qiang had encountered, it seemed that Da Qiang was not their match. Moreover, the message mentioned Jing City. Given Da Qiang's character, it was likely he had traveled there directly; if he took the helicopter to Jing City, it would only take about a week. 0

"What should we do next?" Tang Feng asked, feeling somewhat excited. 0

Wang Chao suppressed his excitement and said, "Although we have learned that Da Qiang is alive and either in Jing City or on the way there, we still haven't found Ouyang En and Lei Father and Son. Putting Da Qiang aside for now, we need to focus on two things: first, finding the remaining team members; second, being cautious of Zhuang Peng and his group; third, we must guard against these unknown evolved monsters." 0

"There is still much for us to do!" 0
