Wang Chao had encountered many evolved Zombies before, but this was the first time he had seen one like this! Lost in thought, the Six-Petal Mouth Zombie had already risen to its feet. Just as Wang Chao intended to slide his Bone Knife across the Zombie's neck, he noticed that another Six-Petal Mouth had sprouted from the Zombie's neck, its sharp teeth viciously clamping down on Wang Chao's Bone Knife. He found himself unable to push any further, and at the same time, the Six-Petal Mouth on the creature's face vanished, leaving only a round, greasy head behind!
Could this monster move its Six-Petal Mouth freely to different parts of its body?
Suddenly, Wang Chao felt a crack forming in his Bone Knife! The creature's teeth were incredibly hard! Compared to the Zombie Chicken or Little Wolf he had encountered before, these sharp fangs were the toughest he had ever faced! Even his Bone Knife, which could easily pierce through walls, was cracking under the pressure of this monster's teeth. If he continued to struggle against it, his Bone Knife might shatter!
In an instant, Wang Chao withdrew his Bone Knife and transformed his hand back to normal. Then, with lightning speed, he summoned the Bone Knife again and aimed it directly at the monster's featureless head. However, just at that moment, the Six-Petal Mouth that should have been on its neck appeared in the direction Wang Chao was attacking. His strike reached its maximum speed and power, aiming for a thunderous blow to finish off the creature.
But as he thrust forward, that Six-Petal Mouth bizarrely emerged once more and clamped down tightly on Wang Chao's Bone Knife. Startled, Wang Chao wondered if this monster possessed greater strength and speed than him. Unwilling to accept defeat, he launched several more attacks with his Bone Knife, but each one was blocked by that same Six-Petal Mouth. After a few exchanges, Wang Chao was left panting heavily.
It was strange—truly strange. This method of defense seemed completely flawless!
While Wang Chao was attacking, the monster suddenly lunged at him with one hand at incredible speed—its speed rivaled his own. With no time to swing his Bone Knife, Wang Chao hurriedly transformed both hands into shields to block the attack. However, the monster's Six-Petal Mouth appeared again on its attacking hand!
It bit down hard on his shield. With a crack, Wang Chao realized that his shield had been damaged. He quickly reverted his hands back to their original form just in time for the Six-Petal Mouth to miss again. This was Wang Chao's only advantage; otherwise, if anyone else were in his position—even with his level of skill—if they were caught by this Six-Petal Mouth Monster, whatever part it bit would surely be torn away!
If it relied solely on a single Six-Petal Mouth for both offense and defense, then as long as he kept attacking relentlessly, it would have no chance to counterattack. Moreover, it seemed to have only one mouth; if that were true, then by transforming both hands into Bone Knives simultaneously, there was no way it could defend against both attacks! As they say, the best offense is a good defense. Wang Chao transformed both hands into Bone Knives and attacked with maximum speed.
One strike was blocked by the Six-Petal Mouth; another was also intercepted! It turned out that within the brief moment of Wang Chao's attack, that Six-Petal Mouth seemed not to need any reaction time—it appeared directly where he aimed! If that was the case, then attacking two different parts simultaneously should overwhelm it since it only had one mouth!
In an instant, Wang Chao swung both hands at either side of the monster's neck.
A smile crept onto Wang Chao's lips. But just then, there was a clang sound; both of his simultaneous strikes were blocked! Could this monster evolve more than one Six-Petal Mouth? If so, Wang Chao simply did not have the strength to contend with this creature! Looking down in disbelief, he realized that what was biting onto his Bone Knife were not two Six-Petal Mouths but rather two Three-Petal Mouths!
One Six-Petal Mouth transformed into two three-petal mouths!
Could its limit really be six mouths? If only he could attack seven of its parts at once, it wouldn't have any mouths left to defend itself. But how could he possibly attack seven parts simultaneously? Even if he used a Submachine Gun, the bullets would come in sequence, making it impossible to strike all seven parts at once. While Wang Chao pondered this, the monster let out a howl and began attacking him with both hands, each hand sporting a three-petal mouth.
Wang Chao did not defend himself; instead, he continued to attack with two Bone Knives. The monster was forced to defend itself, but suddenly it roared, and the two three-petal mouths transformed into three mouths resembling human ones. Two of the mouths blocked Wang Chao's Bone Knife attacks while one appeared on its hand, relentlessly attacking Wang Chao!
In an instant, Wang Chao found himself in a dire situation, having to halt his attacks to defend himself. However, whenever he defended, another mouth would appear on the monster's other hand and begin attacking him. After several exchanges, Wang Chao had no idea how much flesh had been torn from his arms. He activated the Breathing Technique, but even then, he could only manage to protect himself. Once the state of the Breathing Technique ended, he would be completely at a disadvantage; at that point, the monster could wear him down completely!
With this thought in mind, Wang Chao felt increasingly flustered as the monster's attacks grew sharper. He could only retreat repeatedly. Suddenly, flames erupted from the three mouths of the monster. Wang Chao quickly sidestepped to avoid them, but as soon as the flames subsided, one of its hands reached out towards him. Three mouths lined its arm, and their speed was simply too fast for Wang Chao to counter with his Bone Knives. Just as he thought to use his shield for defense...
But then he realized that if he only used his shield to block, once the state of the Breathing Technique expired, he wouldn't be able to block again. Damn it! Was he really going to die here? Suddenly, an idea struck him as he glanced at his fingers. With that thought in mind, Wang Chao abandoned the idea of using both hands as a shield!
The description may seem redundant, but this was merely a fleeting thought that crossed Wang Chao's mind.
Just as those three mouths were about to bite into Wang Chao's neck, all the mouths on its arm vanished. Only a regular arm struck at Wang Chao's neck—barely a threat at all. In contrast, the monster now had six mouths instead of three; although they were called mouths, they were merely half-lips with teeth that couldn't open or close.
The six mouths blocked six of Wang Chao's fingers transformed into bone spikes. However, there were still four fingers turned into bone spikes that the monster had no mouths left to block!
