Wang Chao hurriedly turned around. Spring had just arrived, and the evenings were still short. In a brief span of time, the sky had darkened significantly. The group could barely make out the movements of the Zombies. They saw ordinary Zombies, those that spewed Mucus, tentacle Zombies, and even more Zombie Dogs, all slowly retreating. However, as they moved back, they were also following the front lines forward. 0

Indeed, they were not retreating. Just as the warrior had said, they were not retreating at all; they were forming a formation, much like the varied arrangements of troops in ancient battles. But did Zombies truly possess such intelligence? With such large numbers and such significant movements, even if they were intelligent enough to plan and act purposefully, what entity was commanding this army of hundreds of thousands of Zombies? 0

Having intelligence does not equate to being able to form formations. Just as all humans are intelligent, it does not mean everyone can fly a plane. Yet humans can learn to fly through practice. Had these Zombies rehearsed their formations before attacking the Jing City Safe Zone? This raised another question: what higher-tier Zombies could control these creatures? What distinguished them from ordinary Zombies? Wang Chao thought that if he could find one or several of these higher-tier Zombies, he could disrupt the formation of the horde. At that point, these Zombies would surely lose their cohesion in attacking a specific location. 0

Though Wang Chao thought this way, finding those few higher-tier Zombies among the hundreds of thousands in the Zombie Horde was no easy task! 0

"Fire! Keep firing to disrupt their formation! We must not let them regroup!" Wang Chao commanded. The Guards around him were too preoccupied to care about their meals; they raised their weapons and began shooting! Many Zombies fell, but they showed no signs of panic and continued advancing in formation. 0

A troop that remained unshaken in the face of death and was unaffected by any external factors—could such a force truly be defeated? 0

As the slow yet steady troop advanced, everyone finally discerned their formation. All the Zombies were clustered behind a Giant Zombie. As previously mentioned, these Giant Zombies stood an impressive seven meters tall and were massive in size; ordinary bullets could do nothing against them! The crowd fired their weapons but found themselves unable to harm these creatures. The other Zombies were shielded by the Giant Zombie, making it impossible for bullets to reach them. 0

"A meat shield! This is a meat shield!" several soldiers shouted. "This won't work at all!" 0

Liu Jie furrowed his brow and pondered for a moment before shouting, "What about the Sniper Rifles? We need Sniper Rifles!" At that moment, a soldier beside him pulled out a wooden box from the platform. There were only three Sniper Rifles in the entire Safe Zone—one with Shen Zhiying and two with Liu Jie. The soldier retrieved a box that contained two Sniper Rifles. 0

Liu Jie was indeed the King of Soldiers among scouts; within less than a minute, he had assembled both Sniper Rifles. He shouldered one and handed the other to Wang Chao. "I’m really not good with guns!" Wang Chao protested. 0

"Right now, you're one of only two people here who can use this rifle," Liu Jie replied. "None of them are snipers by training. You already have Silver Upper Tier skills; using a Sniper Rifle shouldn't be an issue for you..." 0

Wang Chao nodded and took the Sniper Rifle. To be honest, he had never handled a Sniper Rifle in his life. Liu Jie seemed to aim without much effort before firing a shot. Through the scope, Wang Chao clearly saw blood splatter from the head of a Giant Zombie ahead. The Giant Zombie merely tilted its neck back slightly before standing upright again as if the bullet had no effect whatsoever. 0

Liu Jie frowned slightly and then fired again. This bullet struck directly into the Giant Zombie's eye; through the scope, Wang Chao watched as it penetrated without obstruction and exploded into an enormous spray of blood at its rear skull! To this Giant Zombie, Sniper Rifle bullets were akin to ordinary bullets against regular Zombies. 0

The import was small, but the export was large. The bullet had to spin countless times inside the Giant Zombie's head before it finally exited through the back of its skull. Now, even the Giant Zombie had only a fate of collapse. Everyone watched as the Giant Zombie staggered a few steps, unknowingly trampling countless Zombies and Zombie Dogs behind it. Yet those Zombies remained unresponsive until the Giant Zombie fell, crushing a large number of them beneath its weight. Only then did chaos finally erupt among the remaining Zombies. 0

However, after a brief period of turmoil, the Zombies regrouped once more. Liu Jie felt a surge of joy and shouted, "Their weakness is their eyes! Shoot! With such big eyes, just spray bullets at their heads!" Liu Jie yelled loudly, and with one bullet, he eliminated a giant Zombie. This encouragement was monumental for the Guards. 0

Everyone began to fire. Although their accuracy was lacking, they were generally aiming at the Giant Zombie's head. Occasionally, a bullet would hit an eye, causing that Zombie to crash down. It became evident that this new formation had significant flaws. Wang Chao felt elated and raised his Sniper Rifle. Looking through the scope, he saw the Giant Zombie's eyes were as large as cow heads. 0

Focusing intently, Wang Chao pressed the trigger and fired, but the bullet went wildly off course. Coughing awkwardly, he was relieved that no one around noticed. Wang Chao steadied himself again and took another shot; this time it hit the body of the Giant Zombie. For his next shot, he aimed for its head, and with the final shot, he blew one of its eyes apart. 0

Then, astonishingly, Wang Chao began to hit every target in front of him. Within minutes, he had shot out the eyes of all ten or so Giant Zombies before him. The people around him stared in awe, especially Liu Jie, who remarked, "You said your shooting skills were poor? You're not worse than me!" 0

Wang Chao smiled but said nothing. In truth, he wasn't aiming in the conventional sense; at the moment he pulled the trigger, he activated his Breathing Technique, enveloping each bullet with his energy. As long as Wang Chao could see his target—even from thousands of meters away—he could ensure every shot found its mark. The supposedly poor marksman had transformed into a sharpshooter. 0

"The Zombies are retreating!" 0
