After a moment of contemplation, Wang Chao sighed and recounted the true nature of these monsters. Those individuals were too focused on their goal to care about who Wang Chao was. Just as they were about to reach him, Wang Chao drew his Panlong Blade without hesitation and swung it down.
In an instant, the heads of the first few people were severed from their bodies. With that single strike, silence enveloped the surroundings. No one could have anticipated that Wang Chao would truly unleash such a massacre. Everyone was stunned, and the young men immediately froze in place, terrified that they might be the next victims. Wang Chao smiled and said, "Someone, throw the heads out to feed the fish."
"I don't think I need to repeat myself; these people are hardly elderly or children!" At this moment, Wang Chao had already sat down again.
As a few approached to dispose of the bodies, Wang Chao suddenly seemed to remember something and stopped them. He said, "Wait, put these bodies in a room first. I'll need them later." "Understood!" Zhu Feng and Wang Xiaochuan shouted in unison.
"Understood!" came another voice; it was the Coastal Soldier from earlier. In truth, this soldier was confused about the situation. Since Wang Chao arrived at this building, Zhao Qin and Lin Chuan had completely lost their authority; it seemed as if Wang Chao was now the highest commander of Coastal. After shouting his response, he hurried upstairs to gather the other Coastal Soldiers.
It was only then that Lin Chuan realized that Wang Chao intended to usurp command. He was supposed to be the commander of the Coastal Safety Zone army; those were his subordinates! How had it come to pass that in just a few words he had become subordinate to Wang Chao? Realizing this, Lin Chuan shouted, "Stop! Who told you to move? Can't you tell who your commander is?"
Actually, when they heard Wang Chao calling for the Coastal Safety Zone army to assemble, those Coastal soldiers who had been scattered began making their way toward the first floor and hall. However, upon hearing Lin Chuan's words, they hesitated momentarily, unsure whose orders to follow. Lin Chuan stepped forward until he stood before Wang Chao and said, "Wang Chao, you’re just an outsider; what right do you have to flaunt your authority here in our Coastal Safety Zone? Who do you think you are?"
Wang Chao remained silent. He understood that Lin Chuan was primarily concerned about Zhao Qin's opinion. Yet Zhao Qin stood off to one side, maintaining her composure. Wang Chao shook his head; it seemed Zhao Qin harbored considerable ambition.
