Outpost was utterly confused. Could it be that this little girl was a fool? How could a fool cultivate such high strength? Aikun'er continued to shout, seemingly unwilling to give up until she called out Outpost's sister. Wang Chao smiled lightly, choosing not to say much, and walked directly in front of the massive iron gate of the Safe Zone, staring at the enormous door.
Outpost truly couldn't understand what these people were here for; they all seemed a bit unhinged. After a minute, Wang Chao finally spoke, "Be careful; we're going to break through this Safe Zone." With that, Wang Chao kicked the door with all his might, sending it flying like a kite with its string cut.
Wang Chao's kick was full of power. The deformed iron door he kicked sent several guards behind it flying. Outpost's eyes widened in shock—what kind of monster could kick a door like that? After a brief moment of astonishment, one guard shouted at the top of his lungs, "Enemy attack! There's trouble! Get help!"
As he spoke, he prepared to fire his weapon, but Yuan Min was already ready. The Sleeve Blade shot up and struck Outpost in the neck before he could even pull the trigger, causing him to fall from the high wall. At that moment, the other guards reacted and began firing their weapons. Wang Chao raised his arms to form a shield, protecting both Yuan Min and Aikun'er.
"Close combat! That way their firearms won't be effective!" Wang Chao shouted as he moved forward. "Yuan Min, make sure to protect Aikun'er!"
"This is so exciting! This is my first fight!" Aikun'er exclaimed. "When I was with my mom before, she never let me do anything. Coming out with you was definitely a wise choice." As she spoke, Aikun'er looked thrilled and seemed completely oblivious to the danger around her. However, with Wang Chao and Yuan Min by her side—and given Aikun'er's own considerable strength—bullets were unlikely to pose a lethal threat.
But recalling what Aivina had said earlier sent chills down Wang Chao's spine. Aivina had warned that if even a single hair on Aikun'er was harmed, he would be ground to dust—not just hit by a bullet. As they spoke, the three moved quickly forward and soon charged into the midst of the guards. Wang Chao dispelled his shield and summoned his Bone Knife, wreaking havoc among the guards.
Yuan Min wielded a Sleeve Blade while Aikun'er had no weapon at all. Yet her Platinum-level strength far surpassed that of these guards. Spotting an isolated guard, she knocked him down with a single punch, rendering him unconscious. In that moment, Aikuner's excited shouts drowned out even the sounds of battle, ringing loudly in their ears.
At that moment, more guards surged in from all directions—there seemed to be at least a hundred of them.
However, most of these guards were only Golden Level; their strength couldn't compare to that of the trio. Just then, someone shouted, "The leader is coming! The leader is coming!"
Upon hearing this, Wang Chao turned back to look and indeed saw someone swiftly approaching from afar at incredible speed. Wang Chao recognized that this person was already at Platinum Tier level but couldn't quite place him. There was no time for further thought as the figure approached rapidly while shouting, "Who dares to cause trouble in my Anfei Safe Zone?"
As he spoke, the figure reached Wang Chao's side and reached out to grab him. It seemed he assumed Wang Chao was the weakest among them and intended to take him hostage to control the situation. However, before he could grasp Wang Chao's clothing, Wang Chao had already struck out with his palm. The man hadn't anticipated Wang Chao's reaction speed would be so quick and hurriedly countered with his own palm strike.
With a clash of palms, the man was sent stumbling back several steps by Wang Chao's overwhelming strength. It was only then that he could clearly see the three individuals before him. The girl was unfamiliar to him, while the man seemed somewhat familiar, though he couldn't quite place where he had seen him before. However, the remaining woman was instantly recognizable. He furrowed his brow and asked, "Why are you, Yuan Min, causing trouble here in my Anfei Safe Zone when you could be safely staying in the Zhonghu Safety Zone? Are you tired of living?"
Everyone had stopped fighting, and the guards surrounded the three of them. Yet, they paid no attention to it. Yuan Min spoke up, "Liu He, it's time for you to rein it in. If your subordinates continue like this, my Zhonghu Safety Zone will annihilate your Anfei Safe Zone!"
"Oh really?" Liu He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. Then, with a lazy tone, he replied to Yuan Min, "It seems like it's your Zhonghu Safety Zone that will be wiped out first! I've heard that your people have offended the Black Clothes Society. I believe that as long as I lend a hand, your little Zhonghu Safety Zone will be reduced to ashes in no time!"
"However!" Liu He's tone shifted as he continued, "As long as you follow me, I can guarantee your life. To be honest, I've wanted to deal with you for a long time. By the way, who is this little girl beside you? She looks incredibly delicate and adorable. Wouldn't you like to experience the thrill of a double date?" With that, Liu He burst into laughter, and the guards nearby joined in with their lewd chuckles.
Truly, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree; Wang Chao remained silent, merely observing this familiar-faced Liu He.
"Hmph! I think it's your Safe Zone that should be wiped out first!" Aikun'er interjected at that moment. "When I go back, I'll tell my mom that we destroyed your Safe Zone!"
Liu He laughed heartily and said, "Haha! You little girl are quite feisty! You should be more concerned about whether you can walk out of my Anfei Safe Zone!"
It was only at this moment that Wang Chao suddenly remembered who this person was. Four years ago, when the Zombie crisis had just begun, Wang Chao had encountered Liu He while fleeing. During one food-gathering expedition, Liu He had sacrificed a companion's life for a backpack of supplies. Since then, Wang Chao and Liu He had gone their separate ways for four years, and he never expected to see Liu He again in the south.
"Liu He! It's been four years; you seem well!" Wang Chao said.
Upon hearing this, Liu He scrutinized Wang Chao closely. As he processed Wang Chao's words, he suddenly recalled who this person was: "Wang Chao? Weren't you in that small town? How did you end up here? Why are you following Yuan Min?"
