Regarding the Exoskeleton Motion Assistance System, Lin Yuan did not intend to simply replicate and install it entirely onto his Mechanical Body. In fact, he lacked the qualifications to do so, as that system was specifically designed for human bodies, and his current form made such an endeavor unrealistic.
Thus, a complete redesign was necessary.
After conducting thorough research, Lin Yuan discovered that the Exoskeleton Motion Assistance System consisted of twenty-four power output points, each controlling one or multiple movements. For instance, the power output points in the legs could facilitate jumping and running actions. Moreover, when coordinated with the leg power output points, various kicking attacks could be executed. This complexity made it far superior to Lin Yuan's Mechanical Body.
At least for Lin Yuan, just analyzing the combinations of these power output points was enough to leave him feeling dizzy.
Fortunately, he did not require anything too complicated; all he needed was a torso, nothing more.
The first thing to discard was the leg portion of the Exoskeleton Motion Assistance System. Although Lin Yuan's Mechanical Legs could only jump to a height of three to four meters, they had already been enhanced and integrated well with Intellect. Therefore, he had no need for the exoskeleton's motion assistance.
However, he decided to retain the hands and head components of the Exoskeleton Assistance System. For now, he regarded the head's exoskeletal support as merely symbolic and did not pay it much attention. The exoskeletal hands were attached to his Third Mechanical Arm and Fourth Mechanical Arm as an additional power System since the output points of this exoskeleton were quite responsive. In close combat situations, this could serve as a means of attack.
Of course, this was still in the installation phase and far from being combat-ready.
What Lin Yuan truly needed was the torso portion of the exoskeleton.
After running calculations and simulations within Intellect, Lin Yuan ultimately decided to modify the reserved bolt areas above his Engine Armor into two right-angled triangular frames. He planned to install the exoskeletal torso on top of these frames, ensuring that its height did not exceed fifty centimeters and that it extended thirty centimeters backward. This design would guarantee that the overall jumping ability of his Mechanical Body remained unaffected while providing greater stability for the Firepower platform.
Finally, Lin Yuan intended to install an F1-standard shield at the back of this torso. Although this made him resemble a robotic pot somewhat, it significantly enhanced his defensive capabilities.
This entire modification process was quite tedious. From determining the initial plan to gradually making adjustments, several months unknowingly passed by. Fortunately, Lin Yuan was currently unaffected by the passage of time and did not feel compelled to lament about fleeting moments or aging warriors!

At this moment, Lin Yuan was finally able to install the Sniper Rifle onto his Third Mechanical Arm. Normally, the Sniper Rifle could be concealed behind the shield in a retracted state. When needed, it would quickly pop out, resting on his torso, ready to fire rapidly!

However, there was a slight downside. With so many additional Parts installed at once, Lin Yuan's Mechanical Body now had to bear an extra thirty kilograms. Although the power remained ample and his Movement Speed only slightly decreased, the Civic Induction Transmission Rate was somewhat lacking!
In other words, there was a significant command delay. For instance, the shield could only passively endure attacks, and as for the Sniper Rifle, Lin Yuan could currently only use it for spying or attacking fixed targets because the command delay reached an astonishing five seconds. After completing this phase of assembling his Mechanical Body, Lin Yuan began to continue clearing out the entire Fortress Base. In the storage area he had not fully inspected yet, he discovered a large batch of supplies—all food meant to fill human stomachs—along with various weapons and machinery and three Hover Vehicles.
These Hover Vehicles were similar to those Lin Yuan had seen in the ruins before; they were semi-circular in shape, resembling horseshoes. Each measured nine meters in length, three meters in width, and two meters in height. They operated on Low-Level Energy and were equipped with intelligent control systems.
However, for now, Lin Yuan had no interest in taking these Hover Vehicles out for exploration. They would undoubtedly be very fast; even without considering road obstacles, he had to think about navigating through ruins. With his current meager effective range of one hundred fifty meters, driving a Hover Vehicle that could potentially exceed speeds of several hundred kilometers per hour would be reckless.
After a thorough and lengthy inspection process, Lin Yuan finally completed his preliminary assessment of the fortress ruins. He then began preparing to seal off the large opening above the Fortress Base—not only for safety reasons but also due to the terrifying storms that would sweep through every few days. Although he did not need to breathe, he disliked working in a dusty environment.
Fortunately, all of this could be handled by the intelligent mining vehicle. As long as it had enough energy, it would tirelessly continue its work. Now, the external doors and passages of the Fortress Base were completed, allowing Lin Yuan to enter and exit without having to climb ladders anymore.
Inputting the new commands into the smart mining vehicle, Lin Yuan finally let out a long sigh of relief. With this base, he no longer felt like a wandering ghost.
However, this was just the beginning. To make his base even safer, Lin Yuan had to embark on the second phase of his exploration: thoroughly searching the entire Ruined City while also gathering more useful supplies to bring back to the base. As the saying goes, having provisions in hand means not having to worry!
With a chuckle in his heart, Lin Yuan bounced off on his new adventure.
