This was not the same Transport Platform that Lin Yuan had first been sent from; it resembled a normal teleportation system. He immediately noticed that this vast space was filled with thousands of Transport Platforms, resembling subway stations, with white light flashing continuously as various figures streamed out. “Oh wow! This is awesome; let’s see if they dare now!” Thomas exclaimed excitedly, clearly having received the same bounty information at the same time. Kress and Fat Three were equally thrilled; it seemed that even if Bermington didn’t die, he would at least suffer greatly!

Thomas said somewhat dejectedly before skillfully jumping onto the vehicle. Fat Three followed suit, and Lin Yuan hesitated for a moment but eventually climbed aboard as well. He had worried that his size might not fit in the vehicle, but upon entering, he realized that there seemed to be some spatial configuration inside; even if he were to squeeze in ten or eight more people, it wouldn’t be an issue.
“This is interesting; where are we now?”
Lin Yuan asked curiously.
"Huh? Captain, that's something you should know! This teleportation was led by you, so the area we arrived in must fall within your jurisdiction. Don't tell me you don't know the rules of Mechanical City? How come you seem more like an outsider than us?" Thomas replied in surprise. The moment Thomas input the destination, the flying vehicle emitted a low humming sound. Then, the scenery outside transformed into streaks of blurred images. After three seconds, the vehicle's speed increased to one-tenth of the speed of light. Thirty seconds later, the speed continued to rise and directly reached one times the speed of light.
Lin Yuan was dumbfounded while Thomas and Kress remained unfazed, as if they were just taking a bus in the morning.
However, Lin Yuan's astonishment was beyond imagination. Flying at light speed for ten minutes? Damn it, that's farther than the distance from the Sun to Earth! What was even more terrifying was that this was merely the distance between District D and District F—just one major district apart!

In short, it was a massive melting pot.
"Ha ha! Captain, welcome to Mechanical City, F District, West Zone 98! This is my hometown, where I grew up. By the way, even within F District, there are divisions of wealth. The four cardinal directions represent major socioeconomic lines, and beneath each line are zones numbered from 1 to 100. Generally speaking, zones ranked above 60 are slums and the most chaotic areas. Just look at Kress; he despises this place. But don't worry! Thomas laughed heartily, his confidence visibly boosted as he quickly moved ahead. In no time at all, he successfully returned; it seemed this guy truly knew his way around.
However, Lin Yuan's mind wasn't focused on that. He was eagerly observing everything around him. He could find echoes of Earth in this place, but perhaps due to the long separation and technological changes, many things felt familiar yet different.
What particularly piqued his curiosity was how strong the Earth Humans here seemed to be. From birth, they appeared formidable. For instance, he saw several young ones around five or six years old skillfully riding old hoverboards while playing soccer between two massive skyscrapers. Of course, the "soccer ball" was not a traditional one but rather a mutated mechanical hedgehog—quite lively.
The place Thomas found for them to stay was on the 1870th floor of a building.
The ceiling was impressively high—about thirty meters—and clearly built to be very sturdy. Even so, Lin Yuan could see bullet marks and signs of battle everywhere; occasionally, large holes would appear in the ground.
Each floor spanned about one square kilometer and featured four enormous passageways running north-south and east-west. On either side of these passages were strange yet solid houses; it seemed their inhabitants were doing everything they could to fortify their territory.
Outside these passages, there appeared to be many homeless people and beggars. Some were eating without a care in the world while others watched Lin Yuan and his group with wary eyes.
