Moreover, they boasted weapon systems never before seen or heard of. Oh no, I’m not ready to die yet!
At this point, Lin Yuan had lost all desire to resist. Could things get any worse?
Just as he braced himself for death, an even louder rumble echoed from high above in the distance. When he looked up in astonishment, he saw what resembled an early Earth steam locomotive chugging along while belching thick black smoke and dragging along massive heaps of metallic debris.
In the next instant, a message came through that felt like a lifeline to Lin Yuan.
“You fool! Quickly revert to your simplest form and hide! Stop flaunting your strength before these Primitive Mechanical Bodies; they can easily mimic any Mechanical Body and its powerful abilities!”
As this message arrived, the ugly steam locomotive quickly tilted its load of mountain-sized metallic debris downwards. Instantly, it was as if it rained down metal refuse.
Strangely enough, as soon as this multitude of metallic debris appeared, the plant-like Mechanical Bodies that had formed into a hundred formidable combat aircraft immediately emitted sounds akin to pigs squealing at the sight of food. They rapidly disbanded and greedily grabbed pieces of metal debris to gnaw on while making delighted grunting noises.
This scene left Lin Yuan dumbfounded; fortunately, his actions were not delayed at all. He swiftly transformed into his First Form and jumped into the massive steam locomotive just as it belched out black smoke and fled like a Black Wind Old Demon.
The enormous cloud of black mist was utterly disgusting; within moments it obscured everything around them. However, it served as an excellent means of escape—undoubtedly effective against those so-called Primitive Mechanical Bodies.
At that moment, Lin Yuan also noticed that this strange 'Steam Locomotive' was actually a Mechanical Life, at least of b1+ level strength. If it were in Mechanical City, it would definitely be considered a top-tier expert!
However, he couldn't help but criticize its Mechanical Body form.
