No matter whether Lin Yuan regretted it or not, the speed of the Black Wind Old Demon showed no signs of slowing down, which left him feeling quite alarmed. The further he went, the more terrifying the super strong magnetic gravity storm created by the Heavy Iron Magnetism became. In such a horrifying storm, Lin Yuan's Auditory Radar could barely detect anything beyond thirty meters, and even then, the accuracy was significantly off. If he got any closer, his Intellect and thought transmission System would likely collapse, and ultimately, his entire Mechanical Body would perish along with it—this was no exaggeration.
Just as Lin Yuan was feeling anxious, the Black Wind Old Demon suddenly dropped from tens of thousands of meters in the air to the ground. Upon landing, it transformed into another form with a loud clatter. Although the transformation process was quite flashy and rhythmic, filled with various sounds, it did not change its essence. Lin Yuan quickly realized how formidable this creature was; being able to remain calm in such a terrifying Electromagnetic Storm and not caring about the gravity here while falling from such a height without any cushioning was a testament to its immense power. If it were Lin Yuan, he would need at least ten seconds to do so—assuming he wasn't destroyed by the terrifying Electromagnetic Storm first.
The Black Wind Old Demon originally appeared as a massive Steam Locomotive but transformed into a rather clumsy and rhythmically challenged form that resembled an old farmer in a mechanical world—a rather shabby Mechanical Body.
If he hadn't witnessed its previous graceful and stylish descent, Lin Yuan might have doubted that what he saw was merely a heap of metallic junk.
This was no exaggeration; the Mechanical Body of the Black Wind Old Demon was adorned with all sorts of outdated setups that dazzled the eyes. Some were so obscure that even Lin Yuan couldn't determine their specific purposes, while others seemed entirely useless—like large and ugly unknown Alloy Steel Plates and rough, uneven Alloy Rods. The list went on and on, resembling someone carrying their toilet, washbasin, bed, and bedding everywhere they went along with all their daily necessities—it was suffocating.
Moreover, the Black Wind Old Demon’s Mechanical Body was enormous, standing over 180 meters tall. As for its shape? It could only be described as round and bulky, lacking any visible Weapon System—much like a scavenger.
At this moment, however, the Black Wind Old Demon still did not explain anything to Lin Yuan. A Mechanical Arm suddenly shot out with incredible speed to grab Lin Yuan. Then it took large strides forward, thumping towards the area where the Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm's fluctuations were most intense.
Strangely enough, at this time, the Black Wind Old Demon emitted some unknown force that could partially resist the impact of the Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm. This finally allowed Lin Yuan to breathe easier while also giving him a chance to observe his surroundings in detail.
Since he could only see about a thousand meters around him at this point, he didn't notice anything particularly special right away. After all, in this area ravaged by the Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm, even the ground could be devoured and compressed; plants and life had no chance of survival—though there were certainly exceptions.
For instance, here most of the ground remained intact—a dark expanse resembling some kind of hard rock—but it looked as if it had been battered by fierce winds for countless millennia. Surrounding these intact patches were massive black cracks and even enormous black Gorges that must have been eroded by the Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm.
If there were any way to describe it, Lin Yuan would unhesitatingly name it Mechanical Hell.
However, Lin Yuan was clearly too optimistic. After traveling over a thousand kilometers with the Black Wind Old Demon at high speed, just as they were about to cross a deep black Gorge approximately five or six hundred meters wide with no visible bottom, he heard a familiar sound.
“Chatter... chatter chatter... chatter chatter!”
...
Lin Yuan nearly jumped at this sound; he thought those terrifying Primitive Mechanical Bodies had caught up to them. But soon he realized they were encountering something even more aggressive than those plant-like Mechanical Bodies—animalistic Primitive Mechanical Bodies.
In an instant, dozens of dark figures sprang forth from that pitch-black Gorge. They weren't very large nor particularly fast but were far from easy to deal with. As soon as they appeared, it seemed as if they could manipulate the surrounding Electromagnetic Storms; immediately after their emergence, the gravitational force in this area surged by a thousand times!
A thousand times increase in Gravitational Field!
Lin Yuan had never encountered such a terrifying phenomenon before; under such immense gravity, his body would turn to dust in just one second!
However, at that moment, he wasn't too worried. After all, the Black Wind Old Demon was a master above B1+, someone who could hold their own.
But Lin Yuan was mistaken—terribly mistaken. The B1+ Mechanical Warrior, whom he thought was incredibly powerful, actually didn't dare to fight back at all. It didn't even attempt to defend itself, allowing dozens of shadows to ruthlessly attack it while its speed plummeted under the thousandfold Gravitational Field. It simply kept its head down and rushed forward!
Damn it!
This was enough to make Lin Yuan want to spit blood! This was unscientific!
Come on, you’re the Black Wind Old Demon! Can't you just show some strength?
The answer was no!
All he could hear was the sound of crashing as bits and pieces of the Black Wind Old Demon's Mechanical Body were blasted off, like a 1.9-meter tall, 100-kilogram man—who was a black belt in Taekwondo and a marathon champion—being beaten senseless by a group of first graders in a park. Not only did he not dare to fight back, but he also had to bend down and slow his pace so those little brats could slap him without difficulty!
This was just too damn frustrating!
In no time, nearly one-fifth of the Black Wind Old Demon's Mechanical Body had been blasted away, yet it remained silent, focused solely on running forward. It was truly a sight to behold!
Lin Yuan was about to go insane!
Just when he could hardly bear it any longer, suddenly, a massive colorful net made of what seemed to be clay came crashing down from above. It perfectly ensnared the dozens of Primitive Mechanical Bodies that were beating on the Black Wind Old Demon. Following that, out of nowhere, another Mechanical Warrior emerged, covered in junk and wielding a huge wooden club. It looked like an ancient caveman with no technical skill whatsoever as it pounded away with thuds. Fortunately, its aim was decent; with each swing, it knocked out one of the obnoxious Primitive Mechanical Bodies.
At that moment, Lin Yuan finally understood. The Black Wind Old Demon had backup after all, but their ambush method was rather primitive.
Lin Yuan had a belly full of questions, but both the Black Wind Old Demon and the newcomer remained silent as they quickly gathered up the net and pulled out some dark jars to toss the bodies of the Primitive Mechanical Bodies into them. They looked like thieves who had just stolen watermelons from a roadside stand, chased by an angry farmer wielding a watermelon knife.
Fortunately, no other Primitive Mechanical Bodies came after them. Instead, it seemed they had finally reached their lair. Lin Yuan had high hopes; perhaps the Black Wind Old Demon’s hideout would be an enormous base capable of withstanding that terrifying Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm Center—after all, it should at least be something impressive.
But once again, reality shattered Lin Yuan's expectations. The Black Wind Old Demon and another character he tentatively called Black Wind Demon sneaked around for a while before scurrying into a dark gorge that looked utterly unremarkable. They traveled through it for at least half an hour, probably delving thousands of meters underground. Finally, a large Alloy door covered in scratches and looking quite shabby appeared on Lin Yuan's Auditory Radar.
Even more bizarrely, this massive Alloy door wasn't controlled by any password or complex mechanism; it used the simplest and most primitive method to open—a lever!
Lin Yuan almost thought he was going blind. What the hell? He even imagined that the Black Wind Old Demon must be a reincarnation of Archimedes! He watched as the Black Wind Demon shrank down and lay flat on the ground while the Black Wind Old Demon pulled out an incredibly thick and long Alloy Rod from who knows where. Then… with a mighty shove, that enormous Alloy Door crashed forward with a thunderous sound—not opening but toppling down instead.
For a moment, Lin Yuan couldn't help but think: if there happened to be some unfortunate soul shouting "Open Sesame" right in front of them at that moment, wouldn’t they be doomed?
The door swung open, and the Black Wind Old Demon and the Black Wind Demon rushed in with a whoosh. They proceeded to set up the door again in the most primitive way possible. It looked like it had no defensive qualities at all—no latch, nothing. Seriously, couldn't they at least bring in some stones to block it?
Was this really safe?
However, no matter how much Lin Yuan grumbled internally, once he entered this enormous yet quite primitive cave, that terrifying Heavy Iron Magnetic Storm suddenly vanished. Everything returned to a tolerable state. At that moment, the Black Wind Old Demon tossed Lin Yuan aside and, with great effort, pressed a button on his Mechanical Body. Immediately, a rough and powerful voice echoed, "Alright, welcome to Wanderer's Paradise, young man. Before you speak, as the Patrol Knight Commander of Wanderer's Paradise, I must announce three basic prohibitions. First, no dense information communication is allowed within Wanderer's Paradise. You must use this most primitive language communication System. Of course, you'll need to purchase a language communication System first, which costs 0 Wandering Coin. However, you probably don't have any, so the Wanderer's Paradise Management Council will initially grant you 000 Wandering Coin with an interest rate of 15% per day. By the way, since I saved you, besides the 1000 Wandering Coin reward from the Wanderer's Paradise Management Council for my efforts, you also owe me an additional 00 rescue fee."
"As for the second prohibition, all registered Mechanical Warriors in Wanderer's Paradise must promise that when leaving Wanderer's Paradise to return to the surface world, regardless of what happens, they are not allowed to use their Mechanical Warrior's Attack Power—such as various attack weapons or skills—because those Primitive Mechanical Bodies have very strong simulation capabilities. Here, no matter how powerful you are, if your abilities are simulated by them, you're as good as dead. Therefore, only the most basic attack methods or certain special attack skills are permitted."
"The third prohibition is that since this world is largely controlled by those Primitive Mechanical Bodies, all members of Wanderer's Paradise must be friendly and supportive of each other. Attacking one another is absolutely forbidden; only by working together can we survive."
"That's about it. Now welcome! You are the first new prisoner exiled here in twenty million years. We almost thought that the Mechanical Kingdom had forgotten about us. Come on, tell me what has happened outside? Why has no one come to check on us for twenty million years?"
Hearing these words from the Black Wind Old Demon left Lin Yuan quite shocked. He was indeed the first prisoner to enter this place in twenty million years? What a joke! This was twenty million years—not two thousand!
However, Lin Yuan quickly recalled something: it seemed that Claire, who had deceived him, was from twenty million years ago when most of the universe was ruled by Mechanical Life. They implemented a very strict slave management system; even powerful beings like Kugite Shipman and the Starry Sky Insect Clan were enslaved along with many Mechanical Warriors. Around twenty million years ago, a rebellion occurred that destroyed four of the original nine Slave Prisons known as the Nine Great Mechanical Cities. This left five remaining cities and caused the entire universe to split into two factions: the Dark Alliance—initially advocating for slave rule through Primitive Mechanical Warriors who controlled three Mechanical Cities—and the Light Council Alliance made up of many enslaved powerful life forms who managed one Mechanical City. The last city was one Lin Yuan had visited that belonged to the Galactic System—a city entirely controlled by rebellious Puppet Mechanical Warriors known as the Mechanical Council Alliance.
Undoubtedly, all the Mechanical Warriors in this Wanderer's Paradise were imprisoned here during that era known as the Dark Age twenty million years ago.
But later on, after the Dark Mechanical Alliance was overthrown and due to war circumstances, this mysterious Exile Prison became unknown to everyone. If it weren't for Lin Yuan accidentally stumbling in this time, this mysterious prison of exile might have ultimately vanished from existence in this universe!
