At around noon, Liu Chuan excitedly rushed out of the room, keeping watch over the unconscious boy.
The boy gradually opened his eyes, staring blankly at the unfamiliar surroundings. At that moment, a faint blue mist emerged from his body. The mist slowly transformed into a clear yet blurry figure of a robot. The unconscious boy felt a strange sense of familiarity mixed with strangeness; he didn’t know what it was and knocked on his head in vain, trying to make sense of it.
“Chuan, remember, your name is Sima Chuan. You must never forget this name. Everything about your past, all your missions are tied to this name; you cannot forget it.” These words came from the faint blue mist that had emerged from him. After delivering this message, it vanished as if its task was complete.
“Sima Chuan.” He murmured the name, feeling it was familiar yet strange. Not wanting to dwell on it further, he closed his eyes again, intending to rest.
The sound of footsteps outside suddenly made him alert. Moments later, seven people gathered by his window: an old man and three young men along with three young women. They seemed to be around his age. He was simply curious about them, wondering what they would do next.
Liu Bin was the first to speak up, “May I ask who this young hero is? How did you end up in the river?”
The boy replied softly, “My name seems to be…” He paused for a moment before blurting out three words: “Sima Chuan.”
Everyone was astonished; how could someone not remember their own name? Shang Qiong expressed her confusion, “Why do you say ‘seems’? Do you not even remember your own name?”
Sima Chuan felt he shouldn’t mention what had just happened and decided to say he had merely dreamed it all. He couldn’t recall anything about himself and asked them who they were and where he was.
Liu Bin introduced himself and his disciples and informed Sima Chuan that he was currently in Liu Manor. It was Liu Chuan who discovered him while fishing after he fell into the river. Liu Bin advised him to rest well while they arranged for some food and clean clothes to be brought over. After that, he left with his disciples.
In the courtyard, Liu Chuan finally voiced his concern, “Master, do you think we can trust what that person claiming to be Sima Chuan said?”
“It’s not entirely unbelievable; based on how he is now, it seems he truly doesn’t remember anything,” Liu Bin replied.
“Grandfather, should we settle him in the manor for now?”
“That seems to be the only option for now. You all take good care of him during this time and watch for any unusual behavior. If anything seems off, inform me immediately; if not, then that would be best…” Liu Bin started but suddenly trailed off mid-sentence.
Liu Chuan sensed his master's thoughts and took over the conversation, "Then we can take him as a disciple."
"Yes, that's right. You all go and get familiar with him, and observe him as well."
The six disciples simultaneously rose from their chairs, clasped their fists, and replied in unison, "Understood."
Luo Mengqi had been sorrowful for quite some time, having only picked at her food before losing her appetite completely. Rock, concerned about Luo Mengqi's health, would comfort her every time. However, it seemed that ever since Sima Chuan fell into the river, a smile had not graced Luo Mengqi's face.
Qiong was different; he believed that Akapa and Sima Chuan wouldn't die so easily. After all, they were no longer ordinary Robots but Mechanical Warriors.
"Akapa!" Qiong suddenly shouted.
"Where? Where?" Luo Mengqi anxiously looked around, only to sit down in disappointment on the cold floor.
"I sensed something, even if it was just for a few seconds."
Luo Mengqi jumped up excitedly and exclaimed, "That means Sima Chuan is still alive, right?" For the first time in a long while, Rock saw a smile on Luo Mengqi's face.
"Indeed, I sensed their life force, but it's quite weak."
"Can you determine their location?"
"I can't sense it now, but I can try."
"Then hurry up," Luo Mengqi urged.
"But I need a map."
Luo Mengqi pulled Qiong to a large screen and quickly activated it, clicking on the map function.
Qiong examined the map carefully and smiled slightly. Luo Mengqi immediately grew anxious. "Hurry up and follow me!"
"Is it really necessary to rush like this?"
"Hmph! Forget it, whether he’s dead or alive doesn’t matter." Luo Mengqi shot Qiong a glance and turned her head away.
"Since you’re so worried about Sima Chuan, I’ll reluctantly tell you," Qiong said, pointing to a spot on the map. "Here, downstream of the river. Look around there; you should be able to find him. But there are many islands in that area, so whether you find him depends on your luck."
"What about you? Aren't you going?" Luo Mengqi asked curiously. As Sima Chuan's friend, he should also be looking for him.
"I don’t need to go. I’ll stay behind to protect your grandfather, so he doesn’t get hurt."
"Alright, I’ll leave Grandpa in your hands." Then she shouted, "Yiling!" Just as Luo Mengqi was about to leave, she turned back to bid farewell to her grandfather. After Rock gave her one last piece of advice, he silently watched Luo Mengqi's departing figure.
Perhaps Luo Mengqi was beginning to grow up, developing her own thoughts. Rock thought to himself and smiled gently.
Night fell. For some reason, the moon seemed dimmer tonight, but the stars were more numerous.
Sima Chuan had just finished dinner and was taking a stroll in the yard when he noticed the sky filled with stars, which stirred something within him. He casually found a ladder and climbed onto the roof. Sima Chuan felt as if he had experienced something related to the stars but couldn’t recall what it was. He sat quietly on the roof, lost in thought.
Shang Qiong passed through the yard and saw Sima Chuan sitting dazed on the roof. She quickly climbed up and sat beside him. "What’s wrong? Why are you daydreaming?"
Sima Chuan glanced at Shang Qiong and replied, "Nothing, I just don’t know why I feel such a strong familiarity with the stars whenever I see them."
"Maybe it’s because you used to look at the stars often."
"Although I can't remember, I know for sure it's not. Because I have a feeling that among these stars, there seems to be a person. And it carries some special meaning."
"Special meaning?" Shang Qiong didn't understand at all.
"Perhaps that's it. After all, I've forgotten everything, and it was only when I saw the stars that I felt something. So I sat here, hoping to recall something."
"What did you remember?"
"Not yet."
The two fell silent for a moment when Shang Qiong suddenly thought of something and smiled. She said to Sima Chuan, "Let's go out to play sometime, you should come along!"
Sima Chuan hesitated for a moment and replied, "Sure, where to?"
"Azure Water Lake."
The two continued to gaze silently at the stars above.
They didn't know how long had passed when Liu Chuan and the others gradually entered the courtyard. Upon seeing Sima Chuan and Shang Qiong sitting on the rooftop, they all approached to join in the fun. Before long, they were all playfully wrestling with each other, and at that moment, Sima Chuan laughed. It was the first time they had noticed him smiling in a long while. They hadn't been this carefree in ages. They played from the rooftop to the courtyard and then to the training room, making noise and having fun. When they got tired, they lay down in the training room and unknowingly fell asleep until dawn.
Lai Liqing returned to Nai with dissatisfaction and directly asked him, "Why is my body so weak? It can be destroyed by a single sword strike from Sima Chuan."
Nai didn't evade the question and gave him an answer he had to accept. "Do you think a newborn's body can compare to that of an adolescent?"
"I see now. I'm going to find Paswo."
After Lai Liqing left, Nai quietly muttered to himself. Then a soldier walked in and reported to Nai, "Lady Nayi, there has been a brief manifestation of extremely strong energy somewhere on Earth. It is speculated that this energy does not belong to Earth."
Nai looked somewhat surprised; the Earth possessed such energy. He then commanded, "Go investigate, and be thorough. I want precise results."
"Understood."
Lai Liqing rushed directly into Paswo's Technology Room, grabbing him by the collar and demanding, "Why is my body so weak? I want a more powerful physique."
"Your body isn't weak; it just hasn't fully evolved yet. After enhancement, you won't believe how strong you can become."
"Then tell me quickly what I need to do!"
"I'm not sure if you can handle the level of enhancement required."
"As long as it means I won't be as weak as I am now, I can endure any level of enhancement." A hint of disdain crossed Lai Liqing's face.
"Alright, follow me." Paswo led him into a dark room. Not long after, Lai Liqing's cries of pain echoed from within, though no one else could hear them.
