After two hours, Sima Chuan and his companions finally stopped hunting.
Mina cheerfully walked towards Sima Chuan with her catch, fully aware of her hunting skills, which were considered the best among the Andi Tribe. She had been hunting alongside her people since she was young, accumulating countless trophies.
However, her excitement faded when she saw the beasts Sima Chuan had discarded. He had hunted ferocious creatures that the Andi People dared not provoke. There had been attempts by the Andi People to hunt these beasts in the past, but they ended tragically, resulting in deaths. Consequently, there were designated hunting zones that the Andi People avoided. Yet, Sima Chuan was oblivious to this; only Luo Mengqi knew of his inadequacies in hunting and had urged Sima Chuan to target those massive creatures, insisting he bring back many.
When Sima Chuan returned with his spoils from the forbidden hunting grounds, the Andi People were overjoyed. He became the foremost warrior of the Andi Tribe, even winning the admiration of those who still harbored resentment.
Night fell swiftly. The moon and stars illuminated the beautiful scenery.
The Andi Tribe was enveloped in darkness, except for a large clearing where a bonfire blazed, and the Andi People celebrated together.
As the Andi People gradually drifted off to sleep, Sima Chuan lay atop a large tree, quietly gazing at the starry sky.
Suddenly, he heard rustling footsteps approaching. They stopped beneath his tree before a sound of climbing echoed. Someone lay down beside him.
Without turning his head, Sima Chuan asked, "What brings you here?"
"Am I not allowed to come?" Mina retorted without answering directly.
"No, I'm just curious why you're here so late. Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"I can't sleep, so I came out for a look. I happened to see you and decided to come over," Mina replied.
"Oh." Sima Chuan casually acknowledged her response and fell silent. The two of them remained quiet together.
After a while, Mina broke the silence. "What are you looking at?"
"The starry sky," Sima Chuan replied, pointing toward the night sky calmly.
"Oh. Which tribe are you from? I've never seen you before."
"I'm not from here; I come from another planet. I'm just visiting," Sima Chuan turned his head to look at Mina.
"So, you will leave eventually?" she asked again.
"Yes, when the time comes, we will leave."
"What do you think of this place?"
"It's not bad! It's even a bit better than where I'm from. I really like it."
"Then can you stay here?" Mina looked into Sima Chuan's eyes, hoping for a positive answer.
"I can't; I have to leave in the end."
"Oh." Hearing Sima Chuan's answer, disappointment filled Mina's eyes. However, she was unwilling to give up. "Then can you take me with you when you go?"
Sima Chuan shook his head. "I can't. I have some things to do that are very dangerous, and I can't bring you along."
"Then can you come back after you're done? Or take me with you then?"
"Why do you insist on being by my side?" Sima Chuan looked at Mina with confusion.
"Because I like you," Mina confessed directly from her heart.
"I..." Sima Chuan hadn't finished speaking when Mina interrupted him. "I used to tell myself that I had to find a warrior stronger than me to be my man. The moment I saw you, I felt something different about you. After that, I let you challenge the warriors of our tribe, and I never expected you to win every time, truly proving yourself as a warrior. And during the hunt, I was astonished by your ferocity."
"You know, I..." Sima Chuan began, seeing Mina's excitement, but she covered his mouth with her hand. "I know what you're thinking. All I need is for you to spend time with me while you're here."
"This..." Sima Chuan felt troubled. On one side was Luo Mengqi, and on the other was Mina. He didn't have much of a relationship with Luo Mengqi yet, but she treated him as if he were her possession. Meanwhile, on Earth, there was also Shang Qiong, and now there was Mina lying beside him.
"Oh, you two seem to be having a great time chatting. Would you like me to help you find a 'bed' to deepen your relationship?" A teasing voice came from under the tree.
"Luo Mengqi." Sima Chuan didn't need to look; he recognized the voice immediately.
"It's you," Mina said with a tone full of confusion.
"What's wrong? Are you two not welcoming me?" Luo Mengqi smiled, but inside she was seething with anger.
Luo Mengqi had originally gone to find Sima Chuan but discovered only Qiong in the grass hut. When she found Sima Chuan, she happened to overhear Mina's confession of "Because I like you." Curiosity piqued, she decided to listen in instead of calling out to him. However, she couldn't understand why Sima Chuan was so popular; it seemed like everywhere he went someone liked him. Eventually, she could no longer bear listening and decided to speak up.
"Why are you still awake at this hour?" Sima Chuan smiled slightly at Luo Mengqi. He was quite surprised by her sudden appearance; he knew she would be angry, so he felt indifferent about it—after all, she would always find a way to tease him.
"Of course! Otherwise, how would I have discovered you in a secret meeting with someone? Weren't you supposed to keep me company tonight? This 'bed' is so cold; hurry up and warm it for me, or how am I supposed to sleep?" At first, Luo Mengqi wore a look of grievance, but soon her lips were pouted as she glared at Sima Chuan.
"Who are you? What is your relationship with him?" Mina looked at Luo Mengqi and then pointed at Sima Chuan.
"He is my man! Didn't you say you were looking for a man? How did you end up with mine?" Luo Mengqi climbed onto the tree and leaned against Sima Chuan, pretending to look puzzled as she stared at Mina.
"Well, he's also my man. Warriors can have many women; besides, he's the top warrior!" Mina quickly leaned against Sima Chuan from the other side and smiled.
"What do you think?" Luo Mengqi stared wide-eyed at Sima Chuan.
"I think three wives and four concubines are acceptable," Sima Chuan replied casually.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Luo Mengqi twisted Sima Chuan's waist hard.
"Isn't it quite normal on Earth?" Sima Chuan asked, enduring the sharp pain.
"Hmph!" Luo Mengqi got angry at Sima Chuan's words. The times may have progressed, but she couldn't accept the idea of her man having multiple wives. She believed that Sima Chuan should be her exclusive possession.
"Anyway, I'm sticking with Sima Chuan," Mina chimed in at that moment.
"What if he decides to leave? Are you going to follow him?" Luo Mengqi looked at Mina with amusement.
"Since Sima Chuan just chose me, I can't follow him. He will come back to find me. I'll just wait here for him," Mina said as she glanced at Sima Chuan.
"Hmph!" Luo Mengqi huffed in defiance.
"It's late; we should head back to sleep. You two should rest early as well!" Sima Chuan said as he jumped down from the tree and slowly walked back.
