"Where are we landing now?" the Noel Battleship asked, hovering in the air.
"Qiong, you decide!" Sima Chuan said, unfamiliar with the area and leaving the choice to Qiong.
"The Noel Battleship can hover over Starlight City. That’s where the Star Master and Star Empress reside. The district leaders frequently visit Starlight City, and Nai is also there, making it easier for us to find him later. Moreover, Starlight City is the most powerful place on the entire planet, where dangers are minimized, allowing us more convenience," Qiong suggested. (The Star Master and Star Empress are the highest leaders of planet DR-5, keeping each other in check. The Star Master is male, while the Star Empress is female; this system has been in place since Sardana took office.)
"Alright, we'll follow Qiong's suggestion and hover over Starlight City," Sima Chuan said. The Noel Battleship then moved swiftly to hover above Starlight City. It then teleported Sima Chuan and his companions out while remaining invisible above the city, ready to assist them at any moment.
Sima Chuan and his companions emerged in a less crowded area. By this time, they had already changed their appearances, and Qiong had added their identities into the overall data of planet DR-5 with detailed descriptions. Sima Chuan was now called Chuan, Luo Mengqi was called Qi, Yiling was named Ling, and Qiong retained her name.
After getting accustomed to their new looks, Sima Chuan and his friends began to wander around aimlessly.
Planet DR-5 is 1.5 times larger than Earth, with land and ocean evenly divided. The continents have been divided into several large sections featuring primitive forests, jungles, grasslands, deserts, and human areas. There are some constructions in the oceans as well, but they are fewer in number and mainly serve as leisure spots. In the sky, aerial gardens, floating towers, and sky residences have also been built. However, there aren't too many of these structures; an excess would hinder land development. Currently, the Sage of planet DR-5 is working hard on this matter.
When Sima Chuan and his friends saw all this, they were astonished—not only had much of the primitive areas been restored; there were also those dreamlike buildings; the air and environment were incredibly pleasant. Especially notable were the aerial constructions like the floating gardens. Although Earth’s technology has also created aerial gardens, they pale in comparison to those on planet DR-5. Furthermore, the floating gardens on DR-5 can move freely; individual sections can detach from one another. When they reassemble later, they can be creatively reorganized rather than remaining static like those on Earth.
At that moment, Sima Chuan and his companions strolled leisurely down the street, taking in the vast technological marvels of this planet while familiarizing themselves with Starlight City.
Starlight City is the most prosperous, important, and safest place on planet DR-5. The Mechanical Guards here are also the strongest and most responsible; their central system's highest directive is to protect Starlight City at all costs to make it the best place possible. These guards are now seen everywhere on the streets—more than before. According to Qiong's speculation, these Mechanical Guards are not actual security personnel but part of Nai's Mechanical Legion. Nai is a general responsible for security issues in Starlight City and can easily manage these tasks. Currently, security has been reinforced across planet DR-5; moreover, even more Mechanical Legions have been secretly added.
"Isn't Nai worried about being discovered by doing this?" Sima Chuan asked with a furrowed brow.
"How could he be discovered? Nai initially presented himself as a new type of Mechanical Guard alongside the Star Master and Star Empress to gain legitimate status; thus adding guards now raises no suspicions," Qiong replied casually. However, this was not good news for Sima Chuan and his friends.
“How many Mechanical Legions does Nai have?” Sima Chuan asked again.
“We know a bit about Nai's Mechanical Legions on the surface, but we have no idea how many he has hidden away. No one knows, not even when Nai started creating the Mechanical Legions,” Qiong replied with a self-deprecating tone.
“It seems the situation is not very optimistic,” Sima Chuan sighed.
“Yeah, but after wandering around for so long, shouldn’t we find a place to stay?” Qiong said, cradling her head in her hands as she looked at Sima Chuan.
“Let’s go.”
At this moment, Luo Mengqi had fallen silent. After hearing Sima Chuan and Qiong’s conversation, she realized that stopping Nai's invasion plan was not as simple as she had thought. She initially believed they could just eliminate Nai directly. Now she understood how difficult it would be to thwart Nai's plans. First of all, Nai was a general, the chief guardian of Starlight City, holding a high position. If Nai were to suddenly die, they would be immediately labeled as invaders and rebels, not to mention the forces that Nai had secretly developed. And now, they had just arrived here; everything was unfamiliar, and they needed to proceed with caution.
Sima Chuan and the others began searching for suitable accommodation along the way. After walking for a few hours, Luo Mengqi felt a bit hungry. Sima Chuan and the others thought it was time to eat something and take a good rest. Just then, Yiling pointed at a restaurant and exclaimed, “Sister, look at that place!”
Sima Chuan and the others followed Yiling's finger to see a medium-sized eatery called Diana. The decorations were quite appealing at first glance, and there were many patrons, suggesting that the food should be good.
After ordering their meals, Sima Chuan and his companions settled into floating chairs and waited for their food. Luo Mengqi was deeply captivated as soon as she entered. Everything in the restaurant was made with advanced technology, completely different from other places. Each seating area offered a unique scene that could be adjusted automatically or manually. Moreover, once seated in a spot, it formed an enclosed space where one could not see outside, nor could anyone outside see in. If the spot was unoccupied, however, everything outside was clearly visible. The restaurant was divided into several different zones, each providing various atmospheres—some even dreamlike. Luo Mengqi chose a spot called Dreamland.
Before long, their meals arrived automatically along with some small gifts and trinkets. Although not very valuable, they were delightful.
Meanwhile, in a hidden room, an elderly man dressed in somewhat dirty clothes looked around cautiously. After confirming there were no issues, he took out a circular disc from his person. He approached one of the walls and inserted the disc into a tiny crevice. After a few seconds, the wall began to change, revealing a smooth transparent screen.
The old man quickly tapped on the screen with his fingers at an astonishing speed that made it seem like his fingers were moving unrealistically fast.
After the old man finished these tasks, a Virtual Screen appeared directly in front of him. The screen displayed several categories, including Information, Data, Events, Location, and Contacts. When the old man clicked on Location, an image began to unfold, with a prominent Blue Dot flashing on it.
Next, the old man clicked on Contacts and tapped on a single point, beginning to input a message.
"The time has come."
Soon after, a reply came back: "Understood."
Upon receiving the message, the old man couldn't help but tremble, laughing and crying as he said, "I've finally waited for this moment. After more than ten years, it has finally arrived..."
In the end, it seemed that the old man realized something and stopped his mixed emotions. He deleted all messages and restored everything to how it was when he first entered.
