That night, Starlight City began to flourish and bustle, a scene both dreamy and lively, with even the sky gardens joining in the excitement. They had long grown accustomed to enjoying this vibrant atmosphere at night.
Luo Mengqi and a few others had already gone out to play under Butch's lead, but Sima Chuan was lost in thought and chose not to join them. Instead, he lay quietly in mid-air, gazing at the starry sky.
Tonight, there was no moon, but the stars filled the night sky. Sima Chuan stared blankly at the heavens and mused to himself, "Am I the Noel who disappeared in that incident more than a decade ago?"
More than a decade ago, the I-Pai Mechanical Legion had found Markett the Sage's Technology Room, attempting to seize mechanical fusion technology and the plans for the Noel Battleship. However, Nai did not anticipate that the Noel Battleship had already been teleported away. When the Mechanical Legion entered, they found no information at all; neither Markett the Sage nor Noel was present. Subsequently, the entire Technology Room exploded, resulting in heavy casualties among the Mechanical Legion.
"If Markett the Sage had everything arranged beforehand, then he must have known about Nai's ambitions long ago. It seems I need to seek out Markett the Sage," Sima Chuan thought to himself.
Today was the Grand Celebration.
The entire Starlight City, even the dr-5 planet, was immersed in a sea of joy. While Sima Chuan was still asleep, he heard the commotion outside and then Butch calling for him repeatedly. Groggily, Sima Chuan stepped out of his room to find Butch smiling at him, with Qiong, Luo Mengqi, and Yiling behind him.
Sima Chuan sighed, "Weren't you all tired from making such a racket last night?"
"Not at all! Hehe," Yiling replied cheerfully.
"Are you even human?" Sima Chuan looked at Yiling with disdain.
"Big sister, help me out here! Give Sima Chuan a good beating!" Yiling pretended to look pitiful as she leaned against Luo Mengqi.
"Then am I not human?" Luo Mengqi stepped forward and glared at Sima Chuan.
"Hehe, wait a moment; I'll be right out," Sima Chuan chuckled and dashed back into his room.
Butch watched this scene with a smile and suddenly thought of something. He nodded with an even broader grin.
After finishing breakfast, Butch took Sima Chuan and the others out. He led them straight to a place called Starlight District, the busiest area in Starlight City.
Butch showed Sima Chuan and the others around, exploring here and there. Since Sima Chuan and Qiong had their own worries, they weren't very enthusiastic about playing. However, Luo Mengqi and Yiling were particularly lively. Everything here was new to them, so they played until lunchtime without even realizing it.
"Alright, it's time for lunch, you two," Butch said kindly to Luo Mengqi and Yiling.
"Hehe, it's not that we haven't..." Yiling started to speak but was interrupted by Luo Mengqi. "Yeah, we rarely go out, so there are many things we haven't tried."
"Haha." Butch knew that Luo Mengqi was just saying that and didn't press further. "Then I'll let you have a good time this afternoon."
After quickly finishing their meal, Butch went to settle the bill. Just as he was about to take out his money, he saw two young women walk in. One had golden curly hair, was tall and elegant in a purple long dress. The other had long hair cascading down her shoulders; she was shorter than the first but slender, wearing a blue tank top.
"Haha, I didn't expect to see Star Girl Adela here," Butch exclaimed in surprise at the curly-haired woman.
Adela smiled slightly and said, "It's nice to see you, Butch."
Butch nodded with a smile, but at that moment, a crisp voice came from beside Adela. "What's wrong, old man Butch? Are you unhappy to see me? Or did you not even notice me?" Butch turned his gaze to the pouting girl who looked displeased.
"Haha, Betis! Long time no see!"
"Hmph, what long time no see? It hasn't been that long since we last met," Betis replied with a roll of her eyes.
Butch chuckled and waved at Sima Chuan.
Sima Chuan walked over and looked at Adela, who was also looking back at him.
"Hey, what's wrong with you? All you do is stare at Adela?" Betis's voice interrupted at an inopportune moment.
"Ah, sorry, you're just too beautiful," Sima Chuan said, casting an apologetic glance at Adela.
"It's nothing," Adela replied with a slight smile, though she felt curious about Sima Chuan, not understanding why he gave her such a strange feeling.
Luo Mengqi felt uncomfortable hearing Sima Chuan's somewhat apologetic remark and tugged at his ear, questioning, "What’s so beautiful about her?"
"Well, no matter how beautiful she is, she's not as beautiful as you," Sima Chuan replied with a pained grin.
"Hmph, how come I never noticed you could be this smooth before?" Luo Mengqi muttered.
"Hehe!"
"Let me introduce you!" Butch pulled Sima Chuan over. "Sima Chuan, this is Adela, the daughter of the Star Master I told you about. Adela, this is my friend Chuan."
"Hello!"
"Hi there!"
"These are Chuan's friends: Qiong, Qi, and Ling. And this is Betis, the daughter of the lord of Starlight City," Butch introduced them one by one.
After getting to know each other, everyone sat down together and started chatting.
In the afternoon, Sima Chuan and Adela wandered around together. As Luo Mengqi, Yiling, and Betis became more playful, Adela moved closer to Sima Chuan. "Chuan, I have some questions I want to ask you."
"Adela, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will definitely give you a satisfactory answer," Sima Chuan said with a smile, knowing what Adela wanted to ask.
"I want to know where your hometown is."
Instead of answering directly, Sima Chuan replied with a question, "Adela, you are the daughter of the Star Master. If you want to know my information, just one word from you and someone will bring my detailed information right to you. But why do you want to ask me?"
"Because I don't want to ruin the friendship between us," Adela said with a gentle smile.
Sima Chuan nodded in understanding. "My parents are from the beautiful Sterco Town."
Adela felt a tremor in her heart upon hearing Sima Chuan's answer, but she quickly regained her composure. "That's quite a remote town."
"It is indeed remote, but it's very beautiful. I take pride in my hometown."
"Oh, why is that?"
"Because I share the same town as the famous Markett the Sage, even though I've never met him," Sima Chuan said passionately.
"Yes, but he has disappeared," Adela sighed helplessly.
"I believe Markett the Sage will appear again someday."
"Let's hope so!"
"Do you have any other questions?"
"Well, didn't you come with your parents?" Adela asked another question.
"I've been wandering for a long time and haven't gone back."
"Oh, then could you show me your right arm?"
Sima Chuan felt strange about Adela's request but complied nonetheless.
As Sima Chuan revealed his entire right arm, Adela's body visibly trembled.
"Hey, Adela, what are you chatting about over there? Come on and join us!" Betis called out, waving at Adela.
"Sima Chuan, come over here!" Compared to Betis's shout, Luo Mengqi was more direct.
"I'm coming." Sima Chuan turned to Adela and said, "Let's go play with them!"
"Oh, okay." Adela snapped back to reality and followed Sima Chuan toward Betis and the others.
