Sima Chuan seemed to hear a sound while he was dozing off. Gradually, he opened his eyes and found himself in a vast, white space.
"Where is this?" Sima Chuan rubbed his eyes and stood up from the ground, gazing around in confusion.
"Hey, is anyone there?" Sima Chuan shouted repeatedly, but it was as if his voice had vanished into thin air; there was not even an echo. He continued walking forward, endlessly, as if he would never reach the end.
"It would be nice if stars appeared," Sima Chuan muttered to himself. However, he was soon taken aback because just as he finished speaking, the scene began to change. Stars appeared above him, and the place transformed into a night sky.
"What’s going on?" Sima Chuan looked around in bewilderment, thinking: Could it be that whatever I wish for will come true?
Sima Chuan tried several more times, and indeed, it turned out to be just as he thought. After that, he decided not to think about anything at all and lay down on the grass to rest comfortably. Fireflies occasionally flitted by, and a cool breeze blew gently, while the stars twinkled above...
A white figure watched Sima Chuan from a distance, a smirk forming at the corner of its mouth. "Looks like he's really gotten addicted to this," it said before suddenly appearing right in front of Sima Chuan.
"Sima Chuan." After a few seconds, the white figure spoke.
"Who?" Sima Chuan suddenly opened his eyes wide and jumped back a distance, warily observing the source of the voice. However, he soon relaxed and smiled. "Oh, it's you."
The white figure looked at Sima Chuan with a playful expression. "Having fun?"
"Hehe!" Sima Chuan chuckled. "I knew I wouldn't just randomly end up here. Besides, if there's danger, it'll come sooner or later. Since nothing's happening now, I might as well enjoy myself."
"You still seem as carefree as ever," the white figure remarked with an indifferent look at Sima Chuan.
"Right? By the way, I'm Akapa. How did you end up here?"
"Me?" Akapa pondered for a moment before replying. "This is a special space that belongs to both you and me. As for how we got here, it was created by your grandfather, Markett the Sage. After all, developing a space is something your grandfather could manage quite well. But I didn't expect you to be Noel."
"Yeah, I didn't expect it either. Thankfully, everything is clear now."
"Um."
"By the way, how did I end up here?" Sima Chuan asked curiously.
"Oh, I almost forgot the main point. It was me who called you here."
"You called me here? What for?"
"I wanted to help you train."
"Train?" Sima Chuan looked at Akapa with confusion, then suddenly remembered something and asked anxiously, "Akapa, do my grandfather and the others know I'm here?"
"Don't worry." Akapa smiled knowingly at Sima Chuan. "You're just a consciousness here, and your body is like it's sleeping. There's nothing to be concerned about."
"That's good." Sima Chuan sighed in relief. If he suddenly disappeared, his grandfather and the others would surely be very worried.
"Now, let's get to the main business," Akapa said as he noticed Sima Chuan had calmed down.
"Alright."
"Okay." Akapa looked at Sima Chuan. "Although I don't want to say this, it's true—Sima Chuan, you haven't fully tapped into your power yet."
"What? How is that possible?" Sima Chuan looked at Akapa in disbelief, hoping to see some indication of what he meant, but he was disappointed.
"It's true. You haven't fully utilized my power, even though you've trained frequently."
"So what should I do?"
"Train according to my method," Akapa said straightforwardly.
"Your method?"
"Yes. I have a way to help you better understand your own strength and enhance your overall combat ability. Just like tonight, there are many times when you could avoid injury and even counterattack."
"Really?"
"Of course. For example, when Shadow Leader used his broken sword against you, if you had truly tapped into your full power—no, even just half of it—you could have easily dodged and severely injured Shadow Leader, or even Destruction."
"Is it really that strong?" Sima Chuan had never imagined Akapa's power could be so formidable.
"Absolutely. It's just that you haven't utilized it well. Now, let's get started with your training." With that, the scene shifted to a training ground.
"What should I do?"
"First, we need to enhance your overall attributes. Let's begin."
"Markett the Sage, please tell us what happened back then and why you and Noel disappeared," Aitak said, quickly regaining composure as expected of a Star Master.
"Alright, I'll recount what happened during that time," Markett said as he wiped away his tears.
At that moment, the captain of the Mechanical Guard Squad respectfully walked in from outside, clearly with something to report.
"Just speak freely," Aitak said upon seeing the captain's hesitant demeanor.
"The Star Empress has arrived."
"Oh, what is she doing here so late?"
"The Star Empress has urgent matters to discuss with you. It seems very important from her tone," the captain of the guards replied respectfully.
"Since it's something urgent, I will go meet her in person." He then turned to the others, "You all come along too."
The Star Empress was a woman about forty years old, standing at one meter ninety-five tall (which is considered average height on this planet). She was dressed nobly and appeared quite imposing, with curly hair framing her face.
"Haha." Aitak greeted the Star Empress Selma warmly, "What brings you here at such a late hour?"
Selma ignored Aitak's enthusiasm and said seriously, "Aitak, I'm here because I need to talk to you about something."
"Uh, sure. What is it?" Aitak's expression also turned serious.
"Let's go inside; it's not convenient here."
Aitak glanced around and led Selma toward Sima Chuan's temporary ward.
"Sade!"
"Sage!"
Markett and Qiong exclaimed excitedly upon seeing the man behind Selma.
Everyone realized there was a middle-aged man behind the Star Empress only after hearing Markett and Qiong's voices. Selma was also surprised that someone recognized the man behind her.
"Markett, Qiong, it's you! How wonderful!" Sade exclaimed as he embraced both Markett and Qiong.
"Alright, let's get this done," Selma said seriously, looking at the three who were embracing each other warmly.
Aitak nodded and led them onward.
"Who is this?" Selma asked, frowning as she looked at Sima Chuan lying on the hospital bed.
"Sima Chuan? What happened to him?" Sade could tell that Sima Chuan was gravely injured.
"Sima Chuan?" Selma looked at everyone with confusion.
Aitak smiled and said to Markett, "Markett, why don't you introduce yourself?"
"Hello, Star Empress!" Markett respectfully addressed Selma. "My name is Markett, and the one lying on the hospital bed is my grandson, Noel."
Upon hearing Markett's introduction, Selma looked at him in surprise and asked, "Are you the Markett who once disappeared, Sage Markett?"
"Yes."
After receiving Markett's affirmative response, Selma glanced between Markett and Sade, remaining silent for a long time. Aitak noticed Selma's expression and chuckled, "Selma, it seems we are after the same thing."
